CD: "Pull Up a Tailgate"
Artist: Brian Davis
Release: March 2010

I saw Brian Davis perform in Raleigh, NC back in 2009 and thought to myself, "Where in the name of all that's country in country music has this guy been???" Brian's music is pure rocking country, no question about which side of the crossover fence he's on. He's chosen his side and he's sticking to it. This entire cd is outstanding, foot tappin', butt shakin' good music and Brian's vocals are flawless. Brian is the total package: he writes it, sings it and performs it. His new release, "Pull Up a Tailgate" is a party just waiting for you to take off the plastic wrapping.
From the first lick of the guitar of "Pull Up a Tailgate", I wanted to grab a cold one from the cooler, pop the top and turn the volume up to a "piss off the neighbors" level and keep it screaming until they do. I can honestly say I don't have a designated favorite on this cd because every song is a favorite. Brian has that Jason Aldean vibe going on and it's a huge oversight that country radio hasn't picked up on this artist yet. I recommend calling your radio station and telling them that they need to "Pull Up a Tailgate" and rediscover what country music is and get the party started.
