Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina, Benton Blount never picked up a guitar or a microphone, much less played a tune. At age 18, his music pastor put a microphone up to his mouth and this beautiful voice was what came out and ever since Benton's had a burning passion for singing and writing songs. Signed with Golden Music who unfortunately closed it's doors unexpectedly in June 2010, this has left this incredible talent without a permanent home. He may be a big strong hulk of a guy with tattoos but don't let that throw you, his voice is even stronger than you might think from first glance. Benton is a prime example of why you shouldn't judge books by their covers, it's what's on the inside that counts the most.
