GOODBYE FREEDOM OF MUSICAL CHOICE, HELLO CORPORATE OWNED COUNTRY MUSIC: RIP NASHVILLE XM 57

When I woke up this morning, I was disgusted and just plain pissed off at what I heard, or should I say what I didn't hear. Clear Channel, the corporate radio conglomerate who owns and operates the majority of US radio stations has replaced Nashville XM 57, a HUGE favorite satellite country station loved by thousands that support NEW music by a mainstream country FM station, WSIX. While WSIX plays country, they play the same old crap that every other FM country station around the country plays - "country pop", the same handful of artists like Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and good Lord, Taylor Swift. Can  country not have at least ONE station that caters to what listeners actually wanna hear and in satellite radio's case, PAY FOR? This is an outrage to XM subscribers who pay a monthly fee to be able to hear commercial free, independent and new music. Nashville 57 was the BEST country satellite station who showcased those artists you don't hear 500 times a day on every other station on the tuner. While there are millions of listeners who do like that music, there are also those of us who want some variety and want to hear those who aren't getting the most attention but are just as good, if not better than some of the music out there. If you're a subscriber and you're PISSED off that you, as a paying customer, were not taken into consideration before this stupid decision was made, START COMPLAINING TO CLEAR CHANNEL. YOU are the listeners, YOU pay good money not to hear the same old music and not hear Justin Bieber on your country station, YOU have the right to complain and cancel your service.
