Mark Wills Releases "Looking for America"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COUNTRY STAR MARK WILLS RELEASES LOOKING FOR AMERICA
New Album Reveals Country Hitmaker’s Convictions And Passions

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 14, 2011)—Multi-platinum country music artist Mark Wills is set to share his new music that’s been two years in the making. Wills will release his seventh national recording, entitled LOOKING FOR AMERICA on June 21, 2011.  Co-produced alongside celebrated songwriter, Chris Lindsey (“Amazed,” “This One's For The Girls," “I Wonder”), the nine-song project (distributed by Gracie Productions) features both the title cut (that is currently receiving applause by radio and its listeners) and the USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today campaign song, “Crazy Being Home.”(www.crazybeinghome.com)

This is definitely a personal album for me and although some folks might see it as a bit of a departure from the music I’ve recorded in the past, this project is really ‘all-encompassing,’” Wills reveals. “It’s got gun and grit, pain and romance, heart-heavy emotions and is chock-full of life situations; there is a strong dose of reality in this record. All of the songs really spoke to me and I felt the ‘tug’ to record each and every one for very different reasons.”

From start to finish, the album’s nine tracks (including the acoustic, stripped-down recording of“Crazy Being Home”) are a finger on the pulse of Wills’ priorities. Serving our men and women in deed and in music entertainment, two cuts honor our nation and those that protect our freedoms and way of life, both at home and abroad. While some of the songs tackle sobering topics, “Rockin’ The Country” is a full-scale party song that only Country’s “Crazy White Boy” could deliver.

The album takes a turn in another emotional direction to a story about the lifespan of a relationship, through the new glow of love to the last attempt to fight for love lost—narrated by one of country music’s most believable storytellers.

In support of the album’s June release, Mark made a special appearance at CMA Fest-2011 for the eighth consecutive year. Having met his fans face-to-face once again at the unmatched “country music event of the year,” Wills introduced his new music to the country music enthusiasts new and old, from near and far.

“This is my first full-length release in a few years and I just love this part!” Wills explains. “Aside from being on the road and thanking the folks who make my way of life possible, the favorite part of my job is getting new music out there and seeing and hearing the reactions from the fans!”

The CD, LOOKING FOR AMERICA, comes from the Indianapolis and New York-based Gracie Productions. With focus in market concentration and distribution, Gracie will spearhead and oversee the global distribution. Gracie Productions has broken acts nationally and internationally including Royce da 5’9”, Joe Budden, Crooked I, Slaughterhouse, TQ, Sally Anthony, Stat Quo among others as well as worked with and participated on projects by Eminem, Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera and more.

“We’re currently in the process of launching a Nashville branch of Gracie Productions in partnership with producer/songwriter Chris Lindsey in the near future,” Tony Bucher, CEO/President Gracie Productions introduced.  “Chris and I both know the significance of a first impression in the entertainment arena and the importance of the first act in making that impression--with success. Mark Wills is the perfect fit to introduce the country division.”

Since it opened its doors just six years ago, the company has celebrated 8 million albums and tracks sold, and five Grammy awards.  For more information on Gracie Productions please visit: www.gracieprod.com.
