NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 9, 2011)—17 Music Entertainment’s own Matt Gary, has signed with Ettinger Talent Associates (ETA) for management representation. Under the personal direction of country music entertainment veteran, John Ettinger, ETA will exclusively oversee Gary’s day-to-day activity as well as spearhead potential sponsorships, special appearances and future recording plans. The alliance with ETA comes next in line of major milestones for Gary who made his entry into the country music scene official with the launch of his own independent label, 17 Music Entertainment, in 2009.
In the short period of time, Matt Gary has made the grade with the media, country radio and its fans.He was named "Who New To Watch" (CMA Close-Up Magazine) in 2009, earned the “DISCovery Award” from music critic Robert K. Oermann/Music Row Magazine, has graced the pages of Country Weekly's"Listen Up!" and "Who's New" and was featured in Nashville Lifestyles’ “Single in the City” (2010). The renowned digital outlet, Microsoft Corporation, selected Gary’s “I’m Just Sayin’,” to appear in Microsoft’s worldwide awareness campaign (introduced early this summer) geared toward Zune, smart phones and PCs. As a featured artist, Matt’s single, “I’m Just Sayin’” and corresponding album graphics are pre-loaded and showcased on select Microsoft demonstration devices for the consumer and potential purchaser to enjoy in stores.
Gary has performed at NASCAR events and before audiences of more than 125,000 at fairs and festivals; he has secured sponsorship/endorsement relationships with PING Apparel, Boulder Creek Guitar and Copley. Gary has also made three consecutive appearances at CMA Fest and Country Radio Seminar and has visited with more than 100 radio stations across the U.S. over the last 24 months.
Matt Gary released his debut single entitled “The Days You Live For" and corresponding music video in April 2009 and followed with “I’m Just Sayin’” in November 2010. His CD 6-Pack by the same name is available via all major Internet retail outlets.
"The partnership with John Ettinger and his team at ETA is a very important part of the equation and our overall goals for the future," said Gary. "Over the past two years, we've made great strides, as an ‘independent contender,’ with our friends at radio, the media and with the fans. ETA will bring our efforts and momentum to a whole new level and I’m excited to see where we are headed.”
John Ettinger’s reputation in Nashville and throughout Country radio is unrivaled. With a remarkable resume as VP of Promotion at Mercury Records, and then at Lyric Street (working alongside Rascal Flatts), he was responsible for the successes of artists such as Sugarland, Shania Twain, Billy Currington and Love & Theft. Ettinger opened the ETA doors in September of last year, managing award-winning group Emerson Drive. The newly established partnership brings years of expertise to the 17 Music Entertainment team.
"Matt Gary represents the heart of country music," said Ettinger. "He is the kind of artist the fans are calling for. A great singer, who is wholesome and family-oriented, he surprises me every day with his ability to deliver a meaningful message with awesome vocals."
Matt Gary/17 Music Entertainment also has working relationships with Conway Entertainment Group, Quarterback Records, Meade Entertainment Group and Music City Media.
Gary is set to release "Beautiful Life," (from the CD 6-Pack I’M JUST SAYIN’) in August and continues his summer radio tour. He is one of the 36 artists scheduled to perform at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in September as part of the Heroes Music Festival 9/11 honorary celebration.
