(Nashville, Tennessee...) -- Acclaimed impressionist artist Michael P. Maness is known for his SONG Series, where he paints his vision of a famous song, has the songwriter write the lyrics and autograph on the canvas and has the singer add their name as well. The paintings are then sold at auction and the money given to charity. His latest one-of-a-kind action-oriented painting, "Rhinestone Cowboy," is in honor of Glen Campbell, who recorded the song in 1975 and who is on a farewell tour after recently divulging that he is in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease.

Several of Mike's works were already scheduled to be shown at The East Arkansas Community College's (EACC) Performing Art Center during the month of September, when he heard Glen Campbell would be performing at the venue on September 10, 2011. He created the "Rhinestone Cowboy" painting and was honored to have Campbell autograph the unique work. Songwriter Larry Weiss also autographed the painting and added the lyrics of the song. The special work will be auctioned on eBay to raise money's for Alzheimer's Charities.

To get the ball rolling on the latest painting, Mike contacted Bart Herbison, Executive Director of the Nashville Songwriter's Association International, who put him in touch with "Rhinestone Cowboy" Larry Weiss. After receiving Weiss' blessing on the project, Mike then pitched the idea to Joe Beasley, the manager of EACC center, who asked Glen's camp to come on board. All agreed, and the painting will placed up for auction soon.

Other works in Mike's SONG Series include Gretchen Wilson's smash hit "Redneck Woman," George Strait's "Check Yes or No," "T-R-O-U-B-L-E," which was recorded by Elvis and Travis Tritt, Rascal Flatts' "Prayin' For Daylight" and Steve Cropper's "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay."
