FREE EVENT (NASHVILLE, TN): OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - February 22 - TRACY LAWRENCE HEADLINES TROOP AID® BENEFIT AT CRS 2012


NASHVILLE – February 14, 2012 – CMA and ACM award winning Tracy Lawrence, is set to headline “Tracy Lawrence & Friends” to benefit Operation Troop Aid at the Cadillac Ranch in Nashville, TN on Wednesday, February 22. The benefit will celebrate Operation Troop Aid's 5th year in partnership with the Country Music Industry. Lawrence is a one of Country music’s most recognizable voices with songs such as "Paint Me A Birmingham," "Time Marches On," and "Find Out Who Your Friends Are."

The benefit is free, open to the public, and will be hosted by TROOP AID® Founder and CEO, Mark Woods. Highlighting the evening will be Lexi James, Kaleb Hensley & II Smokin’ Barrels, Stephen Cochran, and Cody McCarver. The TROOP AID® celebration at Cadillac Ranch on Broadway starts at 6pm with special artists and surprise guests stopping by all night.

TROOP AID® is a non-profit 501c3 charity that promotes entertainment initiatives to raise funding for sending care packages to deployed US Troops. Since 2005, OTA has shipped over TWO MILLION DOLLARS in product to deployed Troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the world.

TROOP AID® was recently selected as a featured charity with Music City Networks. MCN will be launching the new Operation Troop Aid website on February 21st.

A 21-year military veteran, Mark Woods, founded TROOP AID® after being inspired by the GARTH BROOKS concert televised on CBS shortly after the horrific events of 9-11. Woods was stationed onboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the location of that concert, and was appointed as assistant concert coordinator by then Enterprise Commanding Officer, now Admiral James A. Winnefeld Jr. Vice Chairmen Joint Chiefs of Staff.
