On Aug. 21, country singer Steve Holy chatted via phone about his upcoming concert in Farmingville, New York, as part of “Vets Rock.” His signature song, “Good Morning Beautiful,” spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Charts in 2002.
Steve will be performing at the Pennysaver Amphitheater in Farmingville, Long Island, on Sept. 22 as part of “Vets Rock.” “I was asked to be a part of this event and I couldn’t be any more excited,” he said. “We are going to have a great time. The people in the military are my true heroes and I am star-struck by them.”
Steve is slated to share the stage with such artists as Ronnie Dunn, Gloriana, Lauren Alaina, Lee Brice, Jessie James and others. “I love all of these artists,” he exclaimed. “Lauren is probably one of the best singers that I’ve ever heard in my life.”
He noted that his set will include such chart-topping numbers as “Good Morning Beautiful” and “Brand New Girlfriend,” as well as his Top 20 hit “Love Don’t Run.”
Regarding his plans for the future, Steve remarked, “I hope to have more hits and I would like to continue playing as long as people care to hear me.”
Steve listed Carrie Underwood and Lauren Alaina as the two female songstresses in country music that he would love to record a duet with. “I would love to work with either of them since I think they have extremely strong voices and I think my voice can blend with theirs,” he stated.
He noted that he is a fan of such traditional male country vocalists as Joe Nichols, John Anderson and Merle Haggard.
Steve revealed that he stays connected with his fans via Twitter, as well as the meet and greet events following his concerts.
