About this Concert

David Nail first learned of Payton Wright’s battle with Medulloepithelioma, a rare form of brain cancer, in December 2006 while watching a college basketball game on television. Dick Vitale, the ESPN basketball analyst who lives in Lakewood Ranch, was talking about Payton and her plight.

David reached out to Payton’s father, Patrick, and his wife, Holly, through their website and a relationship developed. David told the Wrights he would do whatever he could to help their foundation, and has been true to his word. So when Patrick recently asked David to perform a special benefit concert, with proceeds supporting The Payton Wright Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, Nail readily said yes.

The proceeds of this benefit concert will support the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, and The Payton Wright Foundation.
