Join Hope Cassity and special guests at the Monroe County Heritage Museum Courthouse from Harper Lee's " To Kill A Mockingbird" for her highly anticipated CD release concert. She will be performing songs from her latest project "Like a Movie Scene" and songs inspired by her hometown.

With a voice most often compared to the perfectly blended country stylings of Patty Loveless, Hope Cassity's hauntingly familiar yet refreshingly unique writing style has always set her apart in music city. A town that consistently fills air waves with sound-a-likes, Nashville has opened it's arms to this one-of-a kind fame-worthy singer/songwriter.

A native of Monroeville, Alabama , the town that sparked pulitzer prize winner Harper Lee's creative writing, it's no wonder Hope's vivid imagery and stories turned to love songs by age fifteen. Armed with the ability to draw lyrical pictures, she taught herself to play guitar by ear after learning only a few chords from a high school sweetheart.
Life caught Cassity by surprise a few years later when a series of unexpected tragedies struck her family. A high school drop-out at the time, she graduated from college with highest honors, became a published scholar and proudly proved that adversity would not stand in her way. She turned obstacles into opportunities in Texas and in 2007 released an independent album titled, "Running in November". The project garnered such a large audience that she played to standing room only shows, was nominated as Dallas Best Female Vocalist, filmed her first music video, had tv placements (Discovery Channel) , radio airplay, and set out on a national tour. Her down to earth nature and powerful stage presence captured listeners of all ages. A loyal Texas fanbase developed but Cassity decided to take the leap to music city.

In 2010, her emotional ballad about her grandmother's battle with cancer titled "50 Years" took off on a journey of it's own. Her lyrics were featured last year in the International Stand UP to Cancer Campaign which has support from celebrities such as Jake Gyllenhall and Renee Zellwegger. In 2011, her single "Sweet Southern Sun" featuring Grammy Award- winning fiddle player Glen Duncan was chosen in the Top 25 for the Nashville Music City Songwriter competition. Cassity was named amongst the top 10 finalists in a nationwide songwriter search "Songwriter Serenade" in 2012. Hope was weekly winner for both Skye Idol in Peoria, Az and in Whiskey Idol in Nashville, Tn. Currently, her tunes have been playing in rotation in Alabama, Florida, and on Country Music Radio in the U.K. She has only been in Nashville a short time, but there is already buzz in the industry. Curiosity is building as she releases her debut country album produced by Gary Jannaman and Rory Rositas of Omni Studios.

The project titled Like a Movie Scene stretches from powerful ballads like "The Idea Of You" to playful and flirty tracks such as "Romance Me". Cassity's lyrical honesty is a real standout...refreshing and sincere. In addition, the record was thoughtfully layered with exquisite musicianship. The list of A- List players includes greats like Jeff Roach (Keys- Carrie Underwood) Steve Hinson (Steel- Kenny Chesney), Glen Duncan (George Strait, Faith Hill, Patty Loveless), Jason Schmidt (Drums & Percussion), Matt Anderson, (Bass) and Gary Jannaman ( Producer and Guitars
