ASCAP Presents Plaque In Recognition Of His 20th #1 With Three Days Grace Chart-topper “Chalk Outline”

NASHVILLE, TN – (January 8, 2013) – Celebrated Nashville songwriter, Big Loud Shirt publishing founder and GRAMMY Award winner, Craig Wiseman, celebrated his 20th #1 with Canadian rock band Three Days Grace’s smash single “Chalk Outline.” Friends and family gathered at the band’s show at Exit/In in Nashville, TN, to commemorate Craig’s milestone moment.
With well-over 300 cuts and 100 singles to date, this career achievement is another notch in Craig’s already impressive list of accolades. Craig was named ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year in 2003, 2005 and 2007. In 2005, he won a GRAMMY for Best Country Song for Tim McGraw’s 10-week #1, “Live Like You Were Dying.” He also took home both the County Music Association and Academy of Country Music Song Of The Year awards for “Live Like You Were Dying” and in the following year, for Brooks & Dunn’s “Believe.” Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) honored Craig at their 2009 awards ceremony with their highest nod - the Songwriter of the Decade.
Since opening the doors to Big Loud Shirt nine years ago, the independent publishing company has scored 65 singles & eighteen #1’s, with Craig penning eleven of the eighteen #1’s including Kenny Chesney’s “Summertime,” Toby Keith’s “Love Me If You Can,” and Blake Shelton’s “Hillbilly Bone,” featuring Trace Adkins. Craig’s songs have also been recorded by Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Montgomery Gentry, Phil Vassar, LeAnn Rimes, Boyzone, and Dolly Parton.
