NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 31, 2013) – Ronnie Dunn has toured around the world over the course of his illustrious career, and in that time he has prided himself on building an allegiance of fans. With their loyalty and support in mind, Dunn decided to say ‘thank you for your support’ and asked his fans to help decide where he and his band would play next. Dunn launched a grassroots-based Facebook campaign for followers to suggest venues for Dunn to “Play For Beer” during his off-days on the road.

After receiving an overwhelming number of pleas to play in Morgantown, W.V., Dunn delivered an arena-level concert to a packed, raucous audience at Schmitt’s Saloon on Friday, October 25. All proceeds from the show were donated to Operation Welcome Home, a local organization that provides fellowship and resources for veterans.

Dunn explains, “We're calling it ‘Play For Beer,’ but it's really about finding places that we can drop into on a whim, play and in turn do something helpful for a worthy cause.”
