"Wynonna & The Big Noise lays bare the joy that is Judd's most potent gift as a vocalist...Wynonna's in the big field now. But she was always there anyway, with her magnificently versatile alto and penchant for both belting and swooning. With her tight band behind her after touring together for several years, she just sounds like she's home...You can just feel the grin on her face."

WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE is a milestone for WYNONNA, opening an exciting new chapter for her. She describes the new album as "vintage yet modern" and a "return to the well." It's a rootsy work encompassing Americana, blues, soul, rock and country.
EARLY PRAISE FOR WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE:
"...the self-titled Wynonna & The Big Noise brings a raw, unvarnished approach to the album's dozen tracks, which run the gamut from gutsy blues to sweet, Seventies-inspired country-pop. While the LP is a natural for the wide-open Americana format, Wynonna's legions of country fans will feel right at home with the singer's first full-length album of original material since 2003's What the World Needs Now Is Love."
--Stephen L. Betts, ROLLINGSTONE.COM, November 6, 2015
"Singer Wynonna Judd opens a new chapter in her long career with her forthcoming album Wynonna & The Big Noise, her first with a full band of her own...the sound, however, is a departure, more stripped to the bone and rootsy, more contemporary American..."
--Randy Lewis, LOS ANGELES TIMES, January 22, 2016
"...she's reinvented herself again. The self-titled album with her new band is a mix of country, soul, rock, blues, mountain and just plain attitude...Wynonna & the Big Noise just may be her best album ever. Which is saying a lot."
--Chuck Yarborough,CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER, January 26, 2016
"The new album...explores more blues, soul, Americana and early rock 'n' roll styles alongside her trademark country croon...The album features the handiwork of some interesting collaborators including Susan Tedeschi's pluck on the bluesy opener 'Ain't No Thing,' Derek Trucks' guitar prowess on the soulful confessional 'Keeps Me Alive' and the tenderness of folk star Jason Isbell on the pensive gospel hymnal 'Things That I Lean On,' among others."
