The interactive event aims to share with attendees the real-world experience of veteran professional songwriters. Wallin will share how he landed his first publishing deals and what writers can do to put themselves in the position to get one. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions during the live Q&A session. Three participants will have their song played and receive live feedback from Chris.
Chris Wallin came to Nashville many times before ever moving here. Even as a child, he knew this was a place for him. “Back then I used to buy 50 or so McDonald's 29-cent hamburgers a week and freeze them solid. I could eat all week for $15. They weren’t bad, except the last few got a little crusty from freezer burn,” shared Chris.
Wallin added, “I get lots of questions about how I got my first deal. Mine is a crazy story and I look forward to sharing it!”
Chris Wallin is a multi-platinum hit songwriter and producer and has topped the charts with classics-in-the-making for the industry's biggest stars, including “Love Me If You Can” by Toby Keith, "Don't Blink" by Kenny Chesney, “I’m Tryin’” by Trace Adkins,"People Loving People" by Garth Brooks, “Something To Be Proud Of” and “Speed” by Montgomery Gentry.
