DRAKE WHITE CELEBRATES HIS WIFE IN HEARTWARMING “MAKIN’ ME LOOK GOOD AGAIN (WEDDING EDITION)” VIDEO

FEATURING REAL FOOTAGE OF THE COUPLE’S WEDDING, THE TRACK AND VIDEO SHINE A LIGHT ON SUPPORTIVE PARTNERS EVERYWHERE

TOURING CONTINUES WITH BLOW UP YOUR TV TOUR THROUGHOUT 2023 AND KICKING OFF 2024 WITH THE BRIDGE TOUR

Country-Soul troubadour Drake White celebrates supportive partners everywhere in the new music video for “Makin’ Me Look Good Again (Wedding Edition),” releasing a heartwarming real-world clip today (11/3).

Basking in the glow of true love’s grace, the deeply personal video features footage from White and his wife Alex’s wedding ceremony in 2014, and finds the singer-songwriter spotlighting his own behind-the-scenes hero – a woman who has meant so much to his life, especially in recent years.

Written by White with Monty Criswell and Shane Minor, the romantic track was originally released on White’s 2016 album debut, SPARK, but has since found renewed meaning. A new, stripped-down edition was included on White’s EP, 'The Bridge' (released 10/6), and as White continues to recover from a life-altering onstage stroke suffered in 2019, he says the song’s theme has evolved.

“The original edition came out seven years ago, and since then, the inspiration for this song, my wife Alex, has certainly made me look good again,” White tells CMT. “She helped me walk again, gave birth to our child, and started her own business. She continues to be one of the finest examples of a lady and love on this beautiful planet. She loves me for me, and she loves the simplicity of this edition. This is an offering to her and all the people out there making the world look good again.”

White also spoke about the track’s new spirit with All Country News, and now, its video will help viewers lift up their own unsung better halves.

Marking the video’s official release on YouTube, White joined fans live for a Q&A, chat and more before "Makin’ Me Look Good Again (Wedding Edition)" officially premiered.

Enhancing White’s 'The Bridge' EP, the project features a total of seven songs filled with inspiration, love and conviction. Co-writing each one with a cast that includes Maren Morris, Ryan Hurd, Leslie Satcher and more, White delivers a set combining all-new tracks with reimagined versions of fan favorites, plus a collaboration with GRAMMY Award winner Colbie Caillat.

FIRST EVER SOLD-OUT CHARITY CONCERT “BENEFIT FOR THE BRAIN” BRINGS MAJOR NAMES TOGETHER TO RAISE FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR MENTAL AND BRAIN HEALTH

Four years after recovering from an on-stage stroke, Country-Soul artist-songwriter Drake White hosts his first ever sold-out charity concert “Benefit for the Brain” at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Monday night (8/28). Performances from White and other friends including Riley Green, Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson, PLUS a surprise appearance from Colbie Caillat, lit up the Mother Church of Country music.

White kicked off the night with a medley of songs including “The Coast Is Clear,” the song White was unable to finish performing four years ago on stage in Roanoke, VA due to his stroke. He told his inspiring account of the story to the crowd before singing and finished by stating he would make it through the song tonight.

More special moments graced the packed-out pews last night, including Jamey Johnson inviting Riley Green on stage to sing Johnson’s 2008 award-winning hit, “In Color.” GRAMMY-winning artist and White’s good friend, Colbie Caillat surprised the audience for a special duet of White’s compelling
“Power of a Woman.” And White delivered a delicately booming stripped down acoustic version of “The Optimystic” to a captivated audience resulting in a standing ovation.

White explained to the audience, “After my stroke all I wanted to do was get back to the stage. This is what I was born to do, and this is what God put me on Earth to do. To stand on this Ryman stage and host this charity concert.”

In total, “Benefit for the Brain” raised over a whopping $253,000 with proceeds benefitting 501(c)(3) organizations CreatiVets, Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee and the Miracle Hope Foundation. These organizations were hand-picked to reflect the three specific pillars White was focused on benefiting: military personnel and their families with a focus on PTSD and other related issues; child and adolescent brain health; and progressive research into alternative brain and stroke treatments.

The audience heard inspiring stories from special guest speakers throughout the night. Having performed seven brain surgeries on White, Nashville-based neurosurgeon Dr. Mericle, was the first guest speaker of the night, who was followed by Beth Torres from Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. Other guests included Ed Clay, founder of Cellular Performance Institute, and Richard Casper who co-founded a non-profit for wounded veterans, CreatiVets. The heartfelt evening was emceed by Miles Adcox, founder of Onsite a wellness organization focused on life-changing therapeutic framework.

#COUNTRYGIVESBACK - DRAKE WHITE ANNOUNCES INSPIRATIONAL “BENEFIT FOR THE BRAIN” CONCERT FEATURING RANDY HOUSER, RILEY GREEN, JAMEY JOHNSON AND MORE

SET FOR AUGUST 28 AT NASHVILLE’S RYMAN AUDITORIUM

PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT RESEARCH AND SUPPORT NETWORKS IN THE FIELD OF BRAIN AND MENTAL HEALTH

Four years after surviving his own traumatic brain injury, Drake White looks to support and inspire “the battle between your ears” with a new charity concert.

Announcing his “Benefit for the Brain,” White and a star-studded cast of fellow performers will share the stage for one night only at Nashville’s famous Ryman Auditorium on August 28.

Seeking to advance research and support networks in the field of brain and mental health, White will lead a lineup which already features Randy Houser, Riley Green and Jamey Johnson, plus more special guests from the worlds of Country, Rock and Americana who will be announced soon.

Through his Big Fire Fund 501(c)(3) charity organization, all proceeds raised will be gifted to a handpicked slate of benefit partners representing three pillars: military personnel and their families with a focus on PTSD and other related issues, child and adolescent brain health, and progressive research into alternative brain and stroke treatments.

A cause near and dear to White, brain health became important to the acclaimed entertainer after suffering a stroke and collapsing onstage in 2019, being subsequently diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). The rare vascular disorder forced him to relearn how to do almost everything – including playing guitar and singing – but White has since returned to the life he loves and is determined to help others battle their own brain issues. White recently gave The Tennessean an exclusive interview on his fundraising event, "Benefit for the Brain." Read the full story here.

“This will be a night of music and conversation shining light on brain and mental health,” White explains. “Through music and community, our goal is to raise awareness and resources to foster innovation in adolescent brain health, empower veterans and their families, and bridge the gap between alternative medicine and public perception. Together, we hope to inspire a community of understanding, improve quality of life, and give courage to face the battle between your ears.”

News of the empowering benefit concert comes at the start of a brand-new creative chapter for White, who released his heartfelt new single “Spirit” at the end of June. A swaying traveler’s anthem with a hard-won sense of inner peace, the track was co-written by White with Leslie Satcher and Phil Pence, and marks the first taste of an upcoming project.

DRAKE WHITE SET TO INSPIRE WITH NEW ALBUM "THE OPTIMYSTIC" ON MARCH 11

LP AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER/PRE-SAVE TODAY WITH FANS TO RECEIVE TITLE TRACK INSTANTLY

JOINING WHISKEY MYERS ON TOUR THIS MONTH

Drake White is ready to take his inspirational spirit to new heights, announcing his upcoming album, "THE OPTIMYSTIC", set for release on March 11. The album is available for pre-order/pre-save HERE, and fans who pre-order will receive the title track instantly. Where Muscle Shoals and Nashville meet is where you’ll find White’s “smooth brand of country-soul” (Billboard), a combination of soulful vocals and Country lyrics with an R&B groove running underneath a down-home sound.

After collapsing on stage due to a stroke in August 2019, White was told by doctors that he might never perform again. After multiple surgeries and months of physiotherapy, he overcame those odds and returned to the road, pouring his journey into the music that makes up THE OPTIMYSTIC. The album is a portrait of White's lifelong optimism and resilience, following the Alabama native as he explores a new level of vulnerability to share his story.

White co-penned 12 of the 14 songs on his new project, teaming with all-star writers like Chris DeStefano, Randy Montana and Eric Paslay to explore the process of physically and mentally healing while celebrating the most important people in his life and expressing his fondness for a simple way of life. He was also involved in producing all but one of "THE OPTIMYSTIC"’s songs, producing two tracks solo and teaming with The Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston for 10 others while Johnston took the reins on “It Takes Time.” The album concludes with a recording of "Amazing Grace" performed by White's grandfather's parish with his father and grandmother leading the choir.

"THE OPTIMYSTIC"’s title track was written by White with Kelli Johnson and Lauren Weintraub, and is available instantly for fans who pre-order the album. The song wraps White’s warm voice around a series of guitars as he longs for the optimistic mindset he used to have, ultimately deciding to make a return to that mentality. "It's been five years since my last album," White shares. "I've had two record deals, six brain surgeries, a hemorrhagic stroke and a pandemic that has tried to rip us all apart. Through it all, I've always fought to keep my glass half full. "THE OPTIMYSTIC" is the action of keeping that glass half full and finding faith, hope and joy in the circus of this thing we call life."

Penned by Drake alongside Lindsey Hinkle and Kelli Johnson, the track is a celebration of all the strong women in Drake’s life, specifically his wife, Alex.

Drake described “Power of a Woman” as “one of my favorite songs that I’ve released,” and Alex shared that they came up with the idea for the campaign while out for breakfast one day. “I just noticed all the hardworking women in the restaurant and the women who were coming in and sitting down to eat,” she recalled. “I thought it would be such a cool idea to know their stories and to know the story behind these powerful women who show up to work every day with a smile on their face and serve others all day long and just show up.”
To enter, fans can share their own stories or those of their loved ones, as well as photos. Drake and Alex suggested that entrants hold up handwritten signs declaring that they are powerful women.

Stories submitted so far have honored a young girl who is a Stage IV cancer survivor, a wife who flies helicopters for the US Air Force, a woman who picked up everything to care for her elderly mother after she suffered a stroke, as well as a mom who served in the US Navy as a WAVE and raised five children while her husband served on submarines. Drake White’s headline THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR kicked off in full-throttle fashion over the weekend, beginning on Friday, Sept. 3 with an opening show in Billings, Montana followed by dates in Whitefish, Montana (9/4), Colville, Washington (9/5) and Seattle, Washington (9/6).

White’s live shows are a cornerstone of his freewheeling brand of inspiration, and the connection he shares with his fans in a live setting is unparalleled. Rocking alongside his band, The Big Fire, the Alabama native delivered rousing sets full of inspiration and spirit, putting an exclamation point on the tour’s name. SEE PHOTOS FROM DRAKE WHITE’S THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR KICKOFF HERE

THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR is White’s first major trek since collapsing on stage in August 2019 due to a hemorrhagic stroke, which was the result of Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), a brain condition White had been diagnosed with early that year. He underwent multiple procedures and months of intensive physiotherapy and was able to regain the use of his left side.

The gratitude he feels to be able to return to the stage after doctors told him he might never perform again was evident during THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR’s opening run, which marked the first time White has played four shows in a row since his stroke. “My fans are my army, and I’m built to serve them,” he said. “That’s what I am: I’m a servant to the people and I want to present a show that provides hope for the future, faith in the world and passion for life.”

Over the course of his career, White has earned four Top 40 hits and a dedicated and passionate fanbase that he’s ready to expand with his latest tour and new releases. Pulling back the curtain on new music for fans, White’s latest songs “Hurts the Healing” and “Angel Side of You” are the first taste of the musical journey the singer has been on over the past year, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when fans were able to hear the new music live.

TAKE A LISTEN: PUT THESE ARTISTS ON YOUR 2017 "PLAYDAR"

You may not be familiar with the name "Adam Craig", but you more than likely already know his style.  Arriving in Music City in 2004, he performed in various local hot spots in his bands Telluride and the Adam Craig Band and established a following. Adam was soon signed to a publishing deal and began writing music. His song, "Church Pew or Bar Stool" by Jason Aldean got him the recognition he needed to secure a deal with Sony/ATV Publishing. He later went on to co-wrote hits like "Close Your Eyes" by Parmalee, "Wastin' Gas" by Dallas Smith, and "Whiskey on My Breath" by Love and Theft to name a few. He signed a record deal with Stoney Creek Records in 2014, released his debut single "Reckon" in 2016 along with his debut EP. With his fresh sound, he's attracted quite a fan base and his popularity continues to grow.

His "every man" style, hints of gritty soul and bluegrass inflections puts Brent in a class all his own, one that no other artist compares to. His style is "Mellencamp riding down a dusty rural America back road with the windows down." Cobb has written songs for artists such as his good friend, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Kellie Pickler, Little Big Town and more. He released an EP in 2012, was featured on the 2016 "Southern Family" compilation and released his debut CD, "Shine on Rainy Day" this year as well. Brent Cobb takes pride in his music and it shines in his latest CD.

Have you ever heard of the Boomerang Theory? When you give your best to the world, the world returns the favor? Cash Creek gives their best with every note and every performance. Now with 2 new singles released simultaneously to country radio and Christian radio, "She Got Me" and "One Wave at a Time", the world is starting to give back to them via recognition and a growing allegiance of fans. "One Wave at a Time" is currently sitting at #1 for the second week in a row at Christian Music Weekly and "She Got Me" hit #1 on the Smokin' FM Top 20 Indie Chart. The band consists of 4 of the industry's best musicians who not only make up Cash Creek, but have been or currently are band members for Alabama, John Michael Montgomery and Brad Paisley. When you go see a performance by these guys, the world will pay you back in a good way with great music and a positive message. When you can tell that a band loves what they do and you can see the friendship on stage and off, that's how you know you're watching quality.

When it comes to country music, Texas artist Cody Jinks didn't wait for someone else to raise the bar, he raised it himself.  He knew he had a special gift and he knew he had to use it to the best of his ability and his latest CD, "I'm Not the Devil" is proof of that, debuting at No. 4 on the Top Country Albums chart. Cody Jinks is a heart that beats pure country. After his metal band broke up, Cody listened to his heart and decided country was where his voice belonged and we're sure glad he listened. His music resonates on a personal level and his subject matter can be a little dark, but dark is a good thing when it hits you when you need it to and his honesty is something we can sure appreciate.

I feel good adding Drake's name to this list, no pun intended ... well, ok maybe a little pun. Ok, I totally meant it. H. Jackson Brown, Jr. once said "Let your performance do the talking" and Drake White's performances speak volumes and each one is something unique and different. Drake is such a welcome change in musical direction. He is anything but boring or predictable. His music will have you up on your feet stomping and moving just as hard as he does. The energy he puts out is incredible. If you've never seen Drake perform, be ready to get your weekly dose of cardio in just one show. Drake White is more than a "Spark", he's a damn inferno. Big things coming from this guy, BIG THINGS.

This NC native has literally blown in like a "Hurricane" over the past year. His debut single "Hurricane" has made a huge impression on fans and country radio (thanks to Sirius XM's The Highway for getting it all started). His shows continue to draw large capacity crowds and his music is selling like crazy. There's nothing more attractive than humility and gratitude and Luke Combs has nailed both of these traits. He doesn't take the stage with anything other than heart and talent .. and maybe the occasional drink .. Ha! He leaves all of that heart on that stage when he walks off, knowing he gave it his all. He's one of my favorite artists of the year and I know without an ounce of doubt, he'll be one of mine for a long time to come.

Maggie Rose is the picture of the 3 P's: Passion, Patience, and Perseverance. She's really made a name for herself as a strong independent female artist. She had a setback a couple of years ago when she released "The Girl in Your Truck Song" which didn't exactly go over very well with radio or it's listeners but she stands unapologetic. She has been behind the scenes lately doing some writing and producing. The time off has paid off with her latest release, "The Variety Show Vol I.". What a great EP! It truly embraces who she is, shows a more personal side of herself and showcases her bad ass vocals. Her song "Love Me More" is striking chords and giving her the platform to really stand out in a sea of female artists. This is her year and she knows it. We've missed you Maggie Rose. Welcome back!

If you're looking for tradition in your country, stop right here. There's no need to go any farther. Country is in the blood and bones of Mo Pitney. Instead of rolling in their graves, George Jones and Merle Haggard are high fiving each other and smilling every time a Mo Pitney song is heard. With well received singles "Country" and "Boy and a Girl Thing" already on the books, Mo's just released his follow up single, "Everywhere" and it's already collecting great reviews. Mo is the real country deal, heart and soul.  I think Garth Brooks summed it up best by saying "True country music is honesty, sincerity, and real life to the hilt." This is exactly what you get when you get Mo Pitney.

If there was ever an artist more welcome to country music, it's Ned LeDoux, son of everyone's favorite cowboy, Chris LeDoux. Ned may look and sound like his dad, but Ned is his own artist just trying to keep the true western music legacy alive and well. Having grown up under Chris' infuence and playing in Chris' band, Western Underground, Ned knows better than anyone just how to do it.  Keep an ear out for Ned, you'll be hearing a lot from this guy.

DRAKE WHITE MAKES HIS DEBUT ON THE TOP COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART WITH SPARK

Wraps Successful “Flight to Light the Spark” Trip

Making his debut on the Top Country Albums chart, Drake White has much to celebrate with the release of his new album SPARK (Dot Records). "...insanely talented and always impresses…" (Sounds Like Nashville), Drake’s 12-track labor of love came from years of hard work and dedication to perfecting his sound. It is available now at digital retailers.

“Thanks to all of my fans who have supported this release,” said Drake. “To be in the Top 5 with Dolly Parton, Chris Stapleton and Justin Moore, it is surreal.”

Drake shared his passion for music last week with fans while he traveled coast to coast as part of his “Flight to Light the Spark” initiative. Beginning in New York City with a performance at the Housing Works Live From Home: Songwriters' Night as well as a national television performance on ABC’s Good Morning America, the whirlwind trip ended in Joshua Tree, Calif. where he celebrated 100 Years of US National Parks Service with the Opry National Parks Circle Throwdown performance of his Top 25 hit “Livin’ the Dream.” In between, he hosted the “Flight to Light the Spark,” a 17-hour trip which stopped in each time zone across the U.S. to highlight this charitable initiative. Those impacted included Friends of Firefighters (New York, N.Y.); Musicians on Call (Denver, Colo.); North Texas Foodbank in partnership with the Ford Community Fund (Dallas, Texas); The Boys & Girls Club (Wichita, Kan.) and the Western Surfing Association in partnership with Salt Life (Los Angeles). From meeting with brave firefighters, to conducting science experiments with students and visiting our country’s honored war veterans, Drake continues to highlight the spirit of giving. ARTISTS TO WATCH IN 2016 - VOICES THAT ARE GONNA ROCK THE NEW YEAR

Another year of great music comes to a close in a couple of weeks but that means a start to another year of even better music to come. 2015 introduced us to several new artists who took off in a big way and are going to make an even bigger impact on country music in 2016. Here are the names, faces and voices that we think you should keep on your 2016 radar. It's shaping up to be a fantastic new year!

William Michael Morgan  -www.williammichaelmorgan.com

There's a lot of country tradition under this guy's hat. With a Keith Whitley soul and a voice that immediately brings to mind what country used to be, William Michael Morgan is reminding us what country was meant to be - pure, simple and honest. There's no fluff, no unnecessary excess ... he doesn't need it. What William Michael Morgan portrays is exactly who he is. His debut single, "I Met a Girl" is turning hats everywhere and making people stop to listen. While he may have met a girl, country music is the lucky one because we met one heck of an artist.

Leah Turner dared you to "Take the Keys" on her debut single, now she's taking those keys and opening the door to new beginnings with her new single, "Cowboy's Love". The single's video has been on the CMT Pure 12 Pack for a few weeks now and the single officially comes to iTunes on Friday, 12/18. She's grit and grace, the daughter of a team roper who isn't afraid to wrangle with anyone who tries to change her style. We think she'll be roping in a winner with the new single and you'll be hearing a lot more from Leah in the upcoming year. Leah is a country bad ass, but in a Loretta Lynn "Fist City", "You Ain't Woman Enough" way. Fans need to take country radio to "Fist City" and let them know that she's a "must add."

Mo Pitney - www.mopitney.com

Mo was another one we named an artist to watch in 2015 and now we add him again to the must watch list for 2016.

If you're a country music fan, I mean a TRIED and TRUE fan of twang, tradition and storytelling, you need to tune into Mo Pitney. Remember the name because Mo is the real deal, the next voice of traditional "sop grandma's homemade biscuits up with some gravy" country music. Trust me, country isn't dead, it's just starting to come back to life with a revival of the likes of new artists like of Mo, Craig Campbell, Sturgill Simpson, Cody Wickline, and William Michael Morgan. These new artists are knocking at country's door and fans are starting to answer the door with an enthusiastic response.

In June 2015, Pitney became the first debuting performer in 14 years to earn a standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry. The last one was Turner. It could be a while before someone shows the merit to repeat that feat.

He's released several songs this year -  "Country", which was a writing collaboration with country legend "Whisperin" Bill Anderson, the personal and emotional tearjerker "Clean Up on Aisle Five", the upbeat invitation to "Come Do a Little Life" and the flirty and fun "Boy and a Girl Thing." There's nothing that isn't genuine about Mo or his music. We do take a chance on assuming that you're gonna love what you hear and that fans will be making him a voice of 2016.

Cam - www.camcountry.com
Twitter - @CamCountry
Facebook - CamCountry
Instagram - @CamCountry

You've seen her everywhere this year since releasing her debut single, "My Mistake to Make" and it's platinum certified follow up, the hauntingly beautiful "Burning House". Cam has graced many magazines, talk shows, radio shows, and stages in 2015 and hopefully we'll see her accepting her first Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance for "Burning House." Cam has a classic quality in her voice and an infectious attitude that seems to spread throughout a room quite quickly. It's qualities like this that make the difference between a wannabe and a star and Cam is star quality and she's more than proven it in such a short time. With the success of both singles, the "Burning House" video and her recent critically acclaimed CD, "Untamed", as strange as it seems, 2015 was just a beginning for Cam. I think it's safe to say we can expect another banner year for her in 2016.

Chris Stapleton - www.chrisstapleton.com

We had Chris as one of our artists to watch in 2015 and we weren't kidding. Chris released his then unknown "Traveller" CD which stayed behind the scenes until the ACM Awards where this quiet, unassuming bearded guy in a hat took over the night and surprised the music world by swooping in like a hawk collecting his prey and walked away with 3 of the night's most prestigious awards. While it may have been a shock to those at home, it was in no way a surprise of any kind for any country music industry person or fan in the know that night, we were all cheering and hitting social media with "I Told You About This Guy A Long Time Ago" accolades and congratulations. His performance of the George Jones' classic, "Tennessee Whiskey" with Justin Timberlake was one of the most talked about performances in ages and left a mark where it counts, in the hearts and ears of listeners. His CD sales shot through the roof and radio FINALLY got a clue and started adding his music to their rotations. 2016 is shaping up to bring country back full circle and there is "Nobody to Blame" but Chris Stapleton.

What's that quote by Shakespeare? Though she be but little, she is fierce? Well he obviously had a premonition about Kasey Tyndall. She's a petite little thing but her voice is absolutely fierce and her "get it done" attitude would make Larry the Cable Guy proud. Picked out of tons of video entries, Keith Urban personally chose Kasey to sing a duet with him in Raleigh during his tour stop in August 2014 and her career has been nonstop since then, having moved to Nashville and working with Tennessee East Management (run by Dave Rose of Deep South Entertainment who works with Parmalee, Stryper and other well known artists and Kevin Frazier, local NC venue owner). She's caught the ear of industry professionals, is opening for well known artists as well as performing on her own and released her first single, "Prove Me Wrong" in 2015 with a follow up single on the way. Kasey's a strong one and she's gonna prove them all wrong in 2016!

Morgan isn't just another blonde in the country crowd because she was born to stand out. With an edge in her voice that reminds one of early Miranda Lambert and a confidence that rivals any top selling country female, Morgan Myles does anything but fit in. With a new EP on the way, "Miss Morgan Myles" is gonna make her mark on 2016. We're really diggin' what Morgan has to offer and after you go to her website and take a listen to "Whiskey Dreaming", I think you'll be right there with us on this one.

Drake White - www.drakewhite.com

His music just "Feels Good." Really, that's how I'd sum up Drake White. You can't help but move when his music comes on and it really does just give you a good feeling. We've followed Drake for awhile now ever since seeing him open for Montgomery Gentry a few years back in Danville, VA. He's come a long way since then and has performed on the historic Opry stage multiple times. His shows are electric, energizing and over the top fun. His positive attitude and interaction with his fan base makes him a top favorite for 2016.

Chris Janson - www.chrisjanson.com

Chris is another artist who had one hell of a breakout in 2015, but again, that was just the start of what we're gonna see from him in the upcoming year. His independently released single, "Buy Me a Boat" hit the top of the iTunes charts, a relatively unknown feat for an unsigned artist and that set off a fireworks display of major proportions in the industry, leading to a video being funded by CMT, a major label signing with Warner Bros, a re-release of the single to country radio which resulted in his first #1 hit on Mediabase and a platinum certification just this month, multiple appearances on the Opry stage, the release of his debut album and the release of his follow up single "The Power of Positive Drinkin'".  Chris Janson is here to stay and I wouldn't hesistate to say we'll be seeing him at #1 during the next year.

Granger Smith - www.grangersmith.com

What can I say other than it's about damn time that the world caught on to Granger's music. They caught onto his alter ego, "Earl Dibbles, Jr." a long time ago. Who would have thought that anyone would attempt the alter ego thing since the whole Garth Brooks/Chris Gaines thing (even though that's one of my favorite albums), but Granger did it and it works. His music works just as well as his sense of humor. His previous CD, "Dirt Road Driveway" released in 2013 was great but just didn't take off but thanks to his new single, "Backroad Song", Granger Smith is back on the highway and headed a new, successful direction. He recently made his Opry debut and you can count on hearing much more from him in 2016.

Maren Morris - www.marenmorris.com

At the age of 25, Maren Morris has already established a name for herself in the ultra-competitive Nashville circles with her multi-stylistic vocal influence. Maren signed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music after winning the 2012 New Music Seminar's "Artist on the Verge" award. Maren's songwriting credits include cuts by Kelly Clarkson and Tim McGraw. Maren has shared the stage with artists such as Gary Allan, Marty Stuart, Radney Foster, Eli Young and others. She recently released her own single, "My Church", which is garnering acclaim on Sirius XM's The Highway and is being picked up by stations nationwide.

Chris Carmack - www.chriscarmackmusic.com

Facebook - @ChrisCarmackMusic
Instagram - @RealCarmack

Best known as super jock Luke on "The O.C" and for his modeling turns with Abercrombie and Fitch and other well known brands, Chris Carmack has become a well known face and voice around Music City since taking on the role of "Will Lexington", a singer/songwriter struggling not only with his music but with his sexuality, on ABC's "Nashville". This role has made Chris not only a household face, but a household name with his vocal ability. His chiseled features and smoldering good looks are just added bonuses to his musical talent. Chris just released his debut EP, "Pieces of You" to critical acclaim. Entertainment Weekly called the release "Stunning" while Digital Radio compared him to Keith Urban. Chris Carmack's fictitious character may be having a hard time coming to terms with who he is, but the real Chris Carmack has made it clearly known that he knows who he is and has already left his mark on the country music industry.

DRAKE WHITE PUTS ENCOURAGEMENT TO MUSIC

PRESS RELEASE

Born and raised at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Hokes Bluff, Alabama, Drake White grew up scanning his radio dial for anything he could relate to from country to blues to rock 'n roll. In the rural south, White's musical tastes knew no boundaries, labels or discriminations, a trait that has taken root in his performance style with Rolling Stone Country observing, "He doesn't play music so much as become possessed by it, shaking, clomping and hopping up on his toes like a cowboy Michael Jackson. It's a celebration of his country roots and, really, of being back in control." That verve is encapsulated in White's new single "Livin' The Dream," and it's a message he knows audiences worldwide need to hear.

Written by Tom Douglas, Jaren Johnston and Luke Laird, the lyrics for "Livin' The Dream" celebrate life, and even though there are struggles -- "Lots of reasons just to give it on up/Leave your soul on the shelf collecting dust/Live in a world with broken promises/And empty tanks..." -- White reminds us to denounce the negative and celebrate the little things.

"'Livin' The Dream' is a reminder of how blessed we all are even though, especially times like now, it may feel like our world is falling apart, and so, if we can help remind folks to celebrate the little moments, celebrate life, love and music, then it really does feel like we're at least attempting to live up to our objectives musically," shares White. "In the past, music has not only been my vehicle for escape but also for unification, and with this subtle reminder, we're hoping to give audiences reprieve if even for three minutes and 11 seconds."

Produced by Ross Copperman and Jeremy Stover, "Livin' The Dream" brilliantly showcases White's bluesy twang, a voice the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel dubbed as "...one of the most boisterous and soulful male voices in country music."

Having performed over 100 shows in 2015 inclusive of tour stops with Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band, when not on the road White has been diligently working on his forthcoming album for Dot Records Nashville, expected for release in 2016.

Drake White and The Big Fire's "Muddy Water-inspired soul-country" (Taste of Country) is resonating with artists and fans alike.  White’s music, including his Top-40 single "It Feels Good," has attracted some major fans in both Little Big Town and now Zac Brown Band. Enough so that both groups tapped the DOT/BMLG recording artist for their respective tours this fall with dates starting this Friday at New York City's Citi Field with ZBB.

Growing listening to dynamic touring acts like Joe Cocker and The Grease Band and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Alabama-born soulful singer couldn't imagine a better scenario than to be chosen for these tours. "You don't even dream of opportunities like this,” shares White. “To be on the road with artists that we are fans of is just wild!”

When not on tour, White is in the studio with producers Ross Copperman and Jeremy Stover working on his debut album, which is planned for an early 2016 release.

SINGLE REVIEW: "IT FEELS GOOD" - DRAKE WHITE

SINGLE; "It Feels Good"
ARTIST: Drake White
REVIEWER: Alyse Smith
Follow Alyse on Twitter at @ASmith1300

Purchase "It Feels Good" on iTunes

Drake White’s newest single “It Feels Good” is like nothing you’ve ever heard before. Forget anything you’ve heard on the radio or any of the stuff you’re used to hearing. A world away from anything even remotely like that. It’s like what happens when you stumble upon a hidden gem rife with unfamiliarity and an electric atmosphere.

Drake White has an unshakable rhythm and a thoroughly unique presence. With a strong percussion presence and a summer vision “It Feels Good” will sway you like no other. The word “catchy” can’t possibly describe this song, “It Feels Good” is more than ear worm quality, a better descriptor would be “euphonious.” Drake captivates his listeners with creativity spilling forth, present in every note, every strum, every drum beat and keeps them with his lyrics.

This is Drake’s sophomore single, his first being “The Simple Life.” An Alabama native Drake ventured to Nashville after graduating from Auburn, taking a contracting job while playing at night. When his music career started to take off after getting signed at MCA Nashville, he quit contracting and devoted all his attention to music. He’s active on social media so be sure to leave him a note on Facebook or Twitter. In person, you can catch Drake White on his festival dates, Smoke On The Water Festival on April 4th in Thomaston, GA, Tortuga Music Festival on April 11th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Shaky Boots Music Festival on May 17th in Atlanta, Georgia and Big Barrel Country Music Festival on June 26th in Dover, Delaware.

HAVE YOU LEARNED TO LOVE "THE SIMPLE LIFE" YET?

Drake White is the most added song on country radio this week with his new single, "The Simple Life". Congratulations Drake! Y'all request it! Your voices make the difference for Drake!

FINALLY! ERIC CHURCH ANNOUNCES 2012 HEADLINING TOUR

ERIC CHURCH-THE BLOOD, SWEAT & BEERS TOUR

Eric is hitting the road and will be performing over 50 dates through May 2010 with special guest, Brantley Gilbert.

Don’t be surprised if “Parental Discretion Advised” appears on the ticket when Eric Church brings his newly announced The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour to over 50 cities in 2012. The St. Petersburg Times recalls his last performance in their town noting Church “made the rowdiest yawp, and drew the most toked-up fans.” With word of mouth long fueling Church’s sweat-soaked, sold-out crowds, Church surprised Music Row naysayers earlier this year when his third release, CHIEF, topped the Billboard charts with over 145,000 albums sold in its first week—a true testament to the years of hard work by Church and his band on the road. CHIEF has since been certified Gold and produced the Top 15 “Homeboy” as well as current Top 15 and climbing single, “Drink In My Hand,” on which Church’s live show serves as the backdrop for the music video counterpart.

No other up-and-coming artist is quite as suitable for the raucous Church crowd as Big Machine Label Group's Brantley Gilbert. Gilbert, who has experienced recent radio success with his current No. 1 hit, “Country Must Be Country Wide,” has been building his fan base on the outskirts of “polished” country for years in the southeast. Similar to Church, Gilbert brings grit and attitude to the stage – and he should fit in just fine with the theme of The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour.

Church announced the tour earlier today on EricChurch.com to his Church Choir members exclusively, and beginning on January 19, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR, Church will kick off the 50+ dates nationwide with stops stretching from New York, NY to Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL and Nashville, TN.

“We have been building our entire career for this tour. It is truly the culmination of a lot of blood, sweat and beer that has brought us to this point in our career," says Church. "I have always trusted our fans to deliver with their dedication and passion, they have always exceeded my expectations. I have never been more excited to begin a tour than this one. The band and I are committed to emptying the tank every night and delivering the best show we can."
