NRA COUNTRY “BUCKETS AND BOOTS” CONCERT RAISES MORE THAN $800,000 FOR COMMUNITY IN NEED







Nashville, TN… (June 28, 2012)…Some of country music’s finest talents came out to perform at the 2nd Annual “Buckets And Boots” concert, sponsored by NRA Country, benefiting the Palo Pinto Fire department. This year’s concert raised more than $350,000, bringing the two-year total benefit to more than $800,000.

“Coming together and helping to rebuild is simply us showing our appreciation for the true heroic daily dedication given by these men and women,” declared performer Stoney LaRue.

The star-studded show took place Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the beautiful Rocker B Ranch in Graford, Texas. This year's lineup included Robert Earl Keen, Charlie Robison, Cody Canada, Stoney LaRue, Mickey & the Motorcars, Hudson Moore, Ryan Turner, Bobby Duncan, The Rusty Brothers and the Manderly St. Band. The monies raised go to help the Palo Pinto community that was devastated by the 2011 wildfires in Texas which destroyed over one and half million acres of land in the area in addition to countless homes and other community buildings.

“This event allows Palo Pinto's fire departments to meet its goals. As a 100-percent volunteer organization, we rely solely on our community to function. We can't do what we do without the support from ‘Buckets and Boots’ and for that we are truly grateful,” stated Possom Kingdom Lake Fire Chief Ronnie Ranft.

ACM "SALUTE TO THE MILITARY" PRESENTED BY NRA COUNTRY RAISES $50,000 TO SUPPORT MILITARY

NASHVILLE, TN (April 3, 2012) – The ACM Concert – Salute to the Military Presented by NRA Country was a resounding success, as some of country music’s hottest stars came out to perform for a great cause. The free, open-to-the-public celebration for military families and country music fans was part of THE ACM EXPERIENCE that took place on Saturday, March 31st at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Military ID holders were invited to a reserved section for the concert, which included a very special onstage moment as three worthy military-inspired charitable organizations received donations from NRA Country Caresand ACM Lifting Lives®. Folds of Honor Foundation accepted $20,000, Wounded Warrior Project received $20,000, and Nellis Air Force Base Youth Programs was presented with $10,000.

The memorable evening featured performances by ACM Song of the Year winner Lee Brice, Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers, Bradley Gaskin, JT Hodges, Kip Moore, Craig Morgan, John Rich, ACM Vocal Duo of the Year winner Thompson Square. The show was hosted by Robin Meade, singer and anchor of HLN's "Morning Express with Robin Meade."

THE ACM EXPERIENCE was the first-ever, free, open-to-the public country music lifestyle event created for fans during The Week Vegas Goes Country®, the week prior to the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The fan-focused three-day event included the ACM BBQ Throwdown, ACM EXPO, the Ram Ride and Drive and more, was held March 30-April 1, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The events culminated in the ACM Fan Jam, a ticketed event hosted by Zac Brown Band, on Sunday, April 1, 2012. The ACM Fan Jam was part of the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on the CBS Television Network.

NASHVILLE, TN (March 31, 2012) – NRA Country and the Academy of Country Music partnered for the Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, hosted by ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee Blake Shelton. The sporting clays competition, emceed by Headline Country’s Storme Warren, took place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 as part of The Week Vegas Goes Country® – the week leading up to the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, a star-studded event produced for television by dick clark productions that will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network. Shelton will also co-host the Awards alongside Reba for the second consecutive year.

Lee Lakosky of Outdoor Channel’s “The Crush with Tiffany and Lee” took home a Wayne LaPierre Signature Edition Shotgun as the top celebrity shooter. Craig Morgan came in as top scoring country artist for the day. Team Rivette Refuge Preserve, led by celebrity captains Craig Morgan and ACM nominee Aaron Lewis, took the top Team designation with each member being awarded a collector’s edition Remington 1911 pistol inscribed with a one-of-a-kind NRA serial number for their win. Additional celebrity participants included: Lee Brice, two-time Super Bowl winning legend Dave Butz, Craig Campbell, Easton Corbin, Ira Dean, Edens Edge, The Band Perry’s Neil and Reid Perry, Cowboy Troy,Outdoor Channel personalitiesMatt Duff, Tiffany Lakosky, Nick Mundt and Laura Schara,plus TNA Impact Wrestling stars Jeff Hardy andJames Storm.

The NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, presented by SoundGear by LaPierre, was a two course, 10 station, 40 target sporting clays competition for 20 teams of five shooters – including a celebrity captain – with prizes going to the top team and top celebrity shooter. The event took place at Desert Hills Shooting Club in Las Vegas and benefits Wounded Warrior Project, The Folds of Honor Foundation and the Nellis Air Force Base Youth Programs.

ENCINO, CA (March 9, 2012) – NRA Country and the Academy of Country Music announced today that the Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, hosted by ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee Blake Shelton, will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 as part of The Week Vegas Goes Country® – the week leading up to the 47thAnnual Academy of Country Music Awards, a star-studded event produced for television by dick clark productions that will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network. Shelton will also co-host the Awards alongside Reba for the second consecutive year.

The NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, presented by SoundGear by LaPierre, is a two course, 10 station, 40 target sporting clays competition for 20 teams of five shooters – including a celebrity captain – with prizes going to the top team and top celebrity shooter. The event, emceed by Storme Warren, host of GAC’s Headline Country, will take place at the Desert Hills Shooting Club and will include celebrity participants including Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Cowboy Troy, Ira Dean, Edens Edge, Craig Morgan, Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, Outdoor Channel’s Lee& Tiffany Lakosky and Nick Mundt, TNA Impact Wrestling stars Jeff Hardy and James Storm, and more. The Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot will support Wounded Warrior Project, The Folds of Honor Foundation and the Nellis Air Force Base Youth Programs.

Craig Morgan, who served 10 years in the U.S. Army before launching his career as a country music hitmaker, has been declared the NRA Country Artist of the Month for February. Many of country music’s biggest stars, including Trace Adkins, Lee Brice, Montgomery Gentry and Justin Moore, have joined the “This Is NRA Country” movement celebrating their support of our U.S. military, appreciation for the great outdoors, and love of family.
