Recently, Monroe has been on tour with Pat Green, Eric Church, Josh Thompson and Randy Houser. He shared that he’s in the process of planning an another tour. With shows sponsored by Jagermeister (whose logo was etched into his guitar), it was only fitting that Monroe’s final song was titled “Great Minds Drink Alike.”

His Part One EP was released earlier this May on Render Records and is available on iTunes.

We've been following Rick Monroe for almost 4 years now and we're so happy to see him finally starting to get the recognition he's been long deserving. He has a new EP, "Part One", a new label, Render Records, and is kicking off a new tour with Randy Houser, the 2012 Jagermeister Tour this summer.

Rick is pure, raw country and not ashamed of it. His music is honest, his live show is like an explosive ignition of a powder keg and he gives it his all each and every time. He wouldn't have it any other way and this cd is no different. This cd is all Rick ... his personality, his heart and his country soul. The first track on the cd, "Crazy Not To" should have just been the title to this EP because you'd be crazy not to buy it. The track is fresh and sincere and hopefully country radio will pick up on this and give us a breath of air in the staleness that is today's country. Rick covers the gamet on this EP with tenderness, a little raucousness, and a lot of honest country. From the simple yet direct message of "Just the Same", to the emotional ballad "Baby Angel" to the foot stompin', wall rockin' "Hammer Down", Rick makes sure to touch on each emotion and every feeling.

If you've listened to Rick's previous releases and then listened to this one, then you can hear the obvious musical maturity that seems to come with each cd released. It seems Rick's found his sweet spot and has found his stride with this EP. Go get your copy on iTunes now, you'd be crazy not to.
