20 ACTS AND 2 STAGES: DEEP SOUTH ENTERTAINMENT CELEBRATES 20 YEARS WITH STREET FESTIVAL ON MAY 16

Following the announcement of Deep South Entertainment's 20th Anniversary celebration, the performers, fans, and friends alike have all voiced their excitement for the street festival on May 16th.

Deep South has been a staple of the Triangle music community since its formation in 1995.  The company has managed or business managed Grammy-winning and Billboard-charting artists like Bruce Hornsby, Little Feat, Parmalee, Marcy Playground, Stryper, Vienna Teng, Jason Michael Carroll, and many more.

Locally, Deep South produces concerts and events, and was instrumental in the introduction of more frequent outdoor live music in downtown Raleigh through their work with series such as Downtown Live, Raleigh Wide Open, and Oak City 7.  Additionally, the company owns and operates Deep South The Bar, a small live music venue across from the Red Hat Amphitheater.

Owner and President Dave Rose serves on the Raleigh Convention Center Commission and The Live Music Advisory Board through The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureaus, and has been an advocate of local music since graduating from NC State in 1990.

Come join us Saturday May 16, from Noon to 11pm for Deep South's 20th Anniversary Street Festival presented by Bud Light. Located on the corner of South Dawson St. and West Cabarrus St., we'll be taking over downtown Raleigh for a music festival suited for anyone and everyone. The fun continues at the after-party inside Deep South the Bar with 90's cover band 120 Minutes from 11pm-2am.

Celebrating 20 years with 20 acts and 2 stages, #DeepSouth20 will feature performances by bands and solo artists that have been a part of our 20 year history.

Tickets are available now at DeepSouthEntertainment.com and you can SAVE $5 if you buy them now!

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Band Together NC and The LGBT Center of Raleigh.

Each of the 20 artists performing at the 20th Anniversary Street party has a rich history with Deep South. Below is a brief description of each.

Parmalee – Top 40 country music band that rose to the top of the charts with their #1 hit “Carolina” and only continue to “permanently make the top of the charts their home” –Got Country Online. Parmalee has also been featured in CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown and their singles “Close Your Eyes” and “Already Callin You Mine” have been circulating country radio nationwide.  Deep South and Parmalee have worked together for many years. The band is part of the family.

Marcy Playground – Marcy Playground is most famously known for their 1997 hit single “Sex and Candy”. The alternative rock band’s song hit big and the group will be coming together again for one time only on Deep South's stage to reprise the hit and others alike. Sex & Candy was featured on Deep Volume 1 in 1996, a compilation CD released by the fledgling Deep South Records. The success of that song moved the company into the national spotlight.

Blake Christiana of Yarn – Blake Christiana, Yarn’s frontman, harmoniously blends Americana, Rock, and Country for unforgettable performances through musical storytelling. Yarn has been making noise around the music scene for the past 7 years and has an impressive collection of albums to date.  Yarn has performed at a number of events produced by Deep South over the years, including Raleigh Downtown Live & Oak City 7.

Kasey Tyndall – Kasey Tyndall, a client of Deep South's country music division, Tennessee East Artist Management, is indeed North Carolina's next big country music star. In 2014, Tyndall won a regional contest to duet with superstar Keith Urban and the two wowed a crowd of over 18,000 at Walnut Creek. Industry leaders in Nashville have taken notice and she is currently writing and recording with some of the most respected writers and producers in country music.

Collapsis – Featured on Deep 2 and one of Deep South’s first management clients, the Chapel Hill rock act Collapsis achieved local and national fame after signing with Universal Records and recorded their major-label debut (Dirty Wake) in early 2000, which reached Top 30 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts.

Steve Howell & Caroline Mamoulides – Steve Howell from The Backsliders and Raleigh singer-songwriter Caroline Mamoulides join forces to make beautiful folk/Americana music together, and throw in some songs from their past as well. Owner Dave Rose cites The Backsliders as one of his earliest influences musically as he was coming of age in the industry.

I Was Totally Destroying It – IWTDI, managed by Deep South, have brought their own brand of indie power pop to stages all across the country for the past 8 years – touring with Motion City Soundtrack and Jukebox The Ghost, and sharing the stage with everyone from Joan Jett to Billy Bragg, Passion Pit to Modern English.

Hank Sinatra – Deep South Digital client, Hank Sinatra, is the rowdiest rock n roll band in the land – their all-star lineup of Triangle musicians always brings down the house!

Erin Nenni – Another Tennessee East Artist Management client, Erin Nenni, is a singer/songwriter from a small town in North Carolina. A graduate from East Carolina University, Nenni’s career as a musician continues to bloom, having been heard on NPR's "The State of Things" and NBC's "My Carolina Today". She is releasing her debut country music EP this summer.

Jeff Carroll & The Desmonds – Jeff Carroll & The Desmonds were one of the first acts to be signed to Deep South in the mid 90’s, alongside Marcy Playground and Butch Walker, and are featured on the Deep Volume 1 compilation.  Jeff Carroll owns a local mastering studio and also worked on many of the early titles released through Deep South Records.

Chit Nasty Band – Alumni of the Oak City 7 stage, specializing in funk, soul, and rock & roll, The Chit Nasty Band delivers powerful rhythms and feel-good music with every live performance. Christian “Chit” Foushee-Green and fellow band members promise an unforgettable live music experience that leaves you feeling good deep down into your soul.

The Roman Spring – The latest project from Colourslide’s Alex Lawhon (winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2007 Song Of The Year award), The Roman Spring feature members of other NC luminaries such as Dillon Fence, Parklife, The Veldt, and Cravin Melon.  Visit Alex on Sunday night’s at Deep South the Bar.

Katie Garfield – Actress and singer/songwriter from Cary, NC released her first single “Put Me Back On My Throne” early February where it reigns at the top of the local charts on ReverbNation. Garfield resides in Los Angeles and is a client of the business management division of Deep South.

Season & Snare – Deep South the Bar’s 2014 Open Mic Winners Season & Snare features band members and co-creators Casey Austin Allen and Autumn Rose Brand. The duo has made waves in the Indie/Pop community and continues to deliver impressive harmonies through their music and undeniable talent. Set to release their first single soon, Season & Snare looks ahead to a bright future in music.

Zak Domogalla – As part of the Deep South the Bar family, Zak Domogalla never fails in delivering heartfelt Alternative and Acoustic Rock performances. His music embodies his life experiences and he utilizes lyricism and melody to perfect the art of storytelling.

Ryan Mullaney – Acoustic songstress, Ryan Mullaney, is the host for Deep South The Bar’s Tuesday Open Mic, which for 5 years running has been nominated Best In The Triangle by the readers of the Independent Weekly.

The Balsa Gliders – The Balsa Gliders have regularly played Deep South the Bar to capacity crowds over the years, and are frequent favorites of various festivals produced by Deep South.

Porch Light Apothecary – Brought together through impressive backgrounds in music, Brent Jordan and Jason Elliott have teamed up to create Porch Light Apothecary, showcasing their musical abilities through this new Americana duo. Brent Jordan produced his first solo CD with Deep South client Barry Knox of Parmalee.

120 Minutes – 120 Minutes play everything from Spice Girls to Nirvana, Blackstreet to Gin Blossoms, Alanis Morisette to Blind Melon – anything to make you say “The 90s are back!”  120 Minutes is comprised of several Deep South staff members:  John Booker, Curtis Armstead, Griffin Wade, and Aslan Freeman.

Adam Pitts - Incredible one-man-band Adam Pitts has been performing at Deep South produced events longer than most, and winning over the crowds every time. Pitts is one of the hardest working musicians in the Triangle area, and has taken his talents abroad as well. Pitts traveled to the Bahamas to perform in the Raleigh Rocks The Bahamas events in 2007 and 2008. Adam Pitts will join 120 Minutes on stage during the after party at Deep South the Bar to belt out some 90s hits and get the whole place dancing, as he always does.

JASON MICHAEL CARROLL - Q&A
WHAT COLOR IS YOUR SKY

The new album is uniquely titled WHAT COLOR IS YOUR SKY. Where did that come from and what does it mean to you?

“The title ‘What Color Is Your Sky’ came to me after a hunting trip.  I have always enjoyed social media.  Sharing my thoughts and my life with my fans brings us all closer together.  I came home from a hunting trip and decided to post about my day.  I took a shot that day. I missed, but I took a shot.  There were a lot of factors as to why I missed and I'm not going to get into all of them but it was cold, raining, I was shivering, couldn't hold my gun still, I think the scope was off because I fell out of the tree stand, I'm pretty sure my ammo was wet...whatever the reason, I missed.  I posted about my trip and a lady decided to start in on me about how I ‘shouldn't shoot God’s creatures because they deserve to live as much as I do.’ I tried to calm her down by saying ‘yes ma'am, you're exactly right! If God would've wanted that animal dead, he would've let my bullet hit it!’  That didn't help at all !  After actually trying to calm her down and realizing she only wanted to argue, I typed ‘you're gonna argue no matter what I say so, the sky is blue...go!’  My smart-ass fans jumped in with both feet! I call them that because we all are the same! They get my humor and I am a bit of smart-ass myself! They started posting ‘my sky is green’ or ‘my sky is red.’  Someone posted ‘my sky is purple with a golden hue.’

I typed the words ‘What Color Is Your Sky’ and before I hit post I looked at it and thought, ‘that's a song title.’  I deleted it and stared working on the song.

My next trip to Nashville, I took the idea to my writing team Pete and AJ and later that afternoon we had the song!  We all knew we had something special after we finished it! That's a good feeling. I love when things come together like that out of a totally organic situation.

I thought of several titles for this record.  One was ‘Nondenominational’ simply because I felt my music obviously has been received by my fans and all of the new fans we make at every show even if I'm not in the ‘Nashville’ clique.  I felt it might be too vague and not clearly understood.  Another thought was another song title off of this record, ‘Civil War.’ Again, this felt like a great title but still not capturing the essence of the album.  After weighing several options for album titles, I felt this one [What Color Is Your Sky] evoked a more positive thought and message.  That's something I am trying to surround myself with more, personally and professionally.”

The album’s first single, “God Only Knows” has an affecting lyrical usage of the title phrase and is connecting with your fans and folks at radio--what can you tell us about the writing of the song?

“I love the way songs make people feel things and the way you want to move.  When I was a kid, I remember the song ‘Holding Out For A Hero’ by Bonnie Tyler!  I grew up in a very strict Christian household but I remember before my parents made the switch--cold turkey--to nothing but Gospel, I was well on my way to appreciating 80's Rock like the Cutting Crew ‘I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight,’ any song by Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Poison, and 80's Country from George Strait, Mel McDaniel and Barbara Mandrell.  It was culture shock.  Now don't get me wrong, I appreciate Gospel music but I had the Rock in my blood.  I was bitten and it didn't sting.  I'm chasing rabbits. I remember I wanted to write a song that made people feel, that made people want to move even if it was their first time hearing it!  I went to my writing team (Pete and AJ) and told them about my idea.  I think AJ started the progression for the song and we started writing lyrics.  I'm pretty proud of the outcome.”

This is your first album as a label-free artist and your strong fan support helped you achieve the ability to release this record on your own terms. What are some benefits or challenges you’ve encountered during this new process?

“Benefits? Those are easy to list!  I have fans that support what I do.  They come to shows, they buy several copies of CDs they already have and they bring new friends to shows.  I get to make the music I want to make without the influence of corporate parties or which label is in bed with, or close to, which publisher.  My band--who I trust enough to perform with me night after night--is who I picked as my band for this record! It all makes sense.

Challenges?  The challenges are not having the finances to push our music with the resources that major labels have to push their artists.  Music that is shaping today's accepted norm.  There is no doubt in my mind or my fan’s minds that this record, my music, can stand with all of the music being pushed by major labels but without their bank, we have to work harder.  I'm ok with that.”

What do you want people to take away from this album after listening to it, especially if this is a listener’s first time hearing your music?

“This record [What Color Is Your Sky] is who I am!  It's the songs I felt and wrote by myself or with friends. It’s recorded by my band, people I live, travel and hang with, and it's the way I wanted it to sound.  I hope it connects in a way that makes them feel like they can't wait for the next one!”

If there was one theme tying this collection of songs together, what might it be?

“The theme I hope people take away from this record is Real Life.  Yeah, I want people to move with the party and drinking songs,  but I want people to feel the heartbreak too. I want them to feel the urgency in ‘Urgency’ and the sense of standing on the edge of losing everything if something doesn't change in ‘Civil War.’ Real life.”

You have a wide vocal range and unique way of phrasing which has been showcased throughout your career and is ever-evident on WHAT COLOR IS YOUR SKY. Are there any particular vocalists that influenced you? If so, who and how?  Or was your voice more of a natural discovery?

“When I was a kid, I used to sit in the back of the car while the radio was on and try to sound like the people I heard singing.  I wasn't even trying to sing like the people I heard, I was trying to sound like them.  The singing I guess was something I learned while trying to emulate.  I have always said one of my biggest influences is Steven Tyler.  His stage presence and vocal ability, in my opinion, is unmatched.  I love Vince Gill’s voice and how flawless it is after all of these years.  I have been told several times over the years--and I take it as a huge compliment--that I sound ‘as good if not better’ than my CD's.  I can't even begin to tell you how good it feels when people notice the hard work I put into that especially when I'm working just as hard on the entertaining aspect of our shows.”

EXCLUSIVE ARTIST INTERVIEW: KASEY TYNDALL

Kasey Tyndall - Photo Credit: Jennifer Smith

If you haven't heard of new artist Kasey Tyndall, start listening. She's heading big places, very quickly with the help of Tennessee East Management and with praise by artists like Keith Urban and Lucy Hale. I had the pleasure of meeting and sitting down with Kasey before her show with Easton Corbin and Kelsea Ballerini at City Limits Saloon in Raleigh, NC on January 3 as part of the WQDR "Happy Q Year" event. Love this girl. Smart, determined and guns loaded, she's ready to make her mark and put females back on the country music charts.
Lovin' Lyrics: So tell us a little about yourself, give us a verbal bio

Kasey: Hmmm ... I'm 19 years old, I'm from Greenville, NC - Go Pirates! They're actually playing in the bowl today, not sure if they're winning or not. I was born in Rocky Mount and shortly moved to Greenville after my parents divorced. I taught myself to play guitar when I was 10 and I've just been writing and playing ever since. I love to hunt, I'm very outdoorsy, I'm going to school to be a nurse.

Lovin' Lyrics: Sounds like you have a little bit of everything going on.

Kasey: Yes, I'm busy busy!

Lovin' Lyrics: So how did you get into this, who first heard you? Who said "Hey, you know she's got that something that other people need to know about?"

Kasey: You know, since I learned to play guitar, I've played festivals and anywhere that would let me play, but I think the biggest thing was when I won the WQDR contest and won a chance to sing with Keith Urban and after I sang with Keith at Walnut Creek, it all just kinda took off after that. People were calling and then I got hooked up with Tennessee East with Kevin Frazier and Dave Rose.

Lovin' Lyrics: Kevin and Dave are the best two people you could have ever hooked up with.

Kasey: Yes they are. I'm so excited. 2015 is gonna be crazy.

Lovin' Lyrics: Tell us more about the Keith Urban thing, how did that come about?

Kasey: Keith Urban reached out to all the radio stations in every city and told them he was holding a contest to give a local artist the opportunity to sing with him on the song he recorded with Miranda Lambert, "We Were Us". I called in to WQDR, I placed in the Top 5 and they sent the Top 5 off and Keith picked me. I got lucky, I tell ya, because there were a lot of good people in the contest.

Lovin' Lyrics: It was a great performance. I wasn't there but have seen the video

Kasey: Oh yeah? My heart was about to beat out of my chest. Inside I was dying!

Lovin' Lyrics: You couldn't tell, it was like you'd done this forever, kind of like you were thinking "this isn't a big thing, it's just Keith Urban, we're good."

Kasey: He was so nice, he even gave me a guitar afterwards. It was a great night, Honestly, I was not prepared when I walked off stage for how fast things would move. When I won, I just thought "Hey, it's a song, I'll get my name out there ... cool." Oh no,  it went much further than I ever dreamed. I'm very blessed, I'm very excited.

Lovin' Lyrics: Well, people are definitely picking up on you. I'm starting to see your name around. It's good!  So tonight, are you going to perform any of your original music?

Kasey: I am. I'm performing all 3 songs on the EP that will be coming out hopefully in February, but if you follow me on social media, we'll be setting a definite date here soon. I'll be playing the 3 songs from the EP and actually throwing in a little surprise. I co-wrote one yesterday here in Raleigh with my friend Lauren McLamb and she's gonna be here so I decided to throw that in the set list and make it special.

Lovin' Lyrics: What artists have you opened for?

Kasey: Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Thompson, Lucy Hale, and Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. Phil came and spoke in Greenville and I got to open up for him and sing before he spoke. It was different. He was so cool. He was the coolest guy. Miss Kay was there too, that was just cool.

Lovin' Lyrics: That's cool that you opened for Phil. Lucy Hale was also a big one from what I hear.

Kasey: Whoa, that one was great! She's the nicest artist I have ever met. As famous as she is, she just sat and talked with me for over an hour. She'll text me. If I texted her today, she'll text back. It's crazy!

Lovin' Lyrics: She posted the picture of you both on Instagram and had over 165,000 views, right?

Kasey: I think it's closer to breaking 200,000 now.

Lovin' Lyrics: You've had a lot going on. You were a cover story on Mixer Magazine?

Kasey: Yes! I was really shocked. I had told my mom last year a couple of my goals for music and one of my goals was for the ECU Pirate Nation to kinda know who I was, just a little bit, you know maybe play somewhere in Greenville and the magazine asked me if I wanted to do a story. I had no idea I was going to be on the cover, at all. Somebody stopped me at a restaurant across from campus and said "Is this you?" All I could say was "Uhhhh, yes .. Oh my gosh!"

Lovin' Lyrics: You've got a  local event coming up on January 17, the local Band Together show? What's that all about?

Kasey: The event is about making a change through music. It's going to be myself, the Johnny Orr Band and Yarn. It will be here at City Limits Saloon on January 17 and you can get your tickets through ETix, I believe.

Lovin' Lyrics: Being a female in country music right now, are you finding it tougher than you thought you would as far as the environment and getting your music out and getting it heard because lately it's been a man's environment.

Kasey: Actually no, because you know, I'm just being myself and I've always grown up as "one of the guys" so as long as you get up there and cover some Brantley Gilbert, the guys are just as excited and just being yourself is the best thing to do. I'm not scared to pull out the Brantley. One of my songs, "Let Me Drive" is a song about female empowerment. Guys take to it. As long as you just be yourself, I think being a female is just sticking to your guns and as long as we do that, we'll be fine.

Lovin' Lyrics: If you had to market yourself to potential fans, what would you say? How would you describe your music and why should people listen to you?

Kasey: Hmmm, that is a tricky question. If I was comparing my style to another artist, it would definitely lean more towards Miranda Lambert. She's country, down to earth, loves to hunt and fish and that kinda comes out in my music as well. That's definitely what I'm marketing, let's take it back to country, you know what I mean?

Lovin' Lyrics: Tell us one thing about you that we probably shouldn't know but you're gonna tell us anyway.

Kasey: Hmmm, that's a good one. I feel like I've already told you everything about my life already! (laughs).  I mean, really, whew.

Lovin' Lyrics: Ok, so we'll ask ya another one .. what was your most embarrassing moment?

Kasey: Hmm, my most embarrassing moment ... Oh! Jim Shockey is another person that I've opened up for. He's a huge outdoors man, you know I love to hunt so I got hooked up with him doing some outdoors events in Greenville. All I had to do was play two songs ... TWO! That's it, two songs. Well I bombed on both of them so bad. I messed up both songs, more than two lines. It was so embarrassing, I was just like "Get me out of here." Everyone knows that song too! It was bad, but you know, you just gotta put it behind you and forget about it.

Lovin' Lyrics: Good, so we're not gonna expect anything like that tonight? You're gonna pull them all off flawlessly right? That's kinda hard, especially with Easton Corbin in the room.

Kasey: I know right! After hearing him sound check, I was like "I don't even wanna get up there". He is so good.

Lovin' Lyrics: So how can people get in touch with you online?

Kasey: My website is just www.kaseytyndall.com. If you google my name, I'm on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Vine. Just follow me and I'll be keeping everyone up to date on the EP and where I'll be performing. I do handle my own social media, told my managers hands off. As someone up and coming, just like Kelsea Ballerini, to me she's made it.  For her to retweet my tweets really makes me feel good so I never want to pull that wall up between myself and my fan base. I don't want to have someone else handle that for me. It's special when you tweet someone back and let them know that you care. They'll take to you better. Being a songwriter, I'll get on the personal side with you, I'll tell you my whole life if you want, that's just how I am. I'm very open, I'll talk to anybody.

DON'T SETTLE FOR A SPARK, START A FIRE: NEW JASON MICHAEL CARROLL SINGLE GOES OUT TO COUNTRY RADIO AUGUST 13

Two weeks from Tuesday, on August 13th, the brand new single from Jason Michael Carroll, "Close Enough", is officially going out to country radio. Let's pull together as supporters and friends of Jason, who is an amazing artist, person and make sure he gets the attention he deserves with this new song. This song has hit potential with the right push. When you start requesting it on your local stations starting August 13, a few things to keep in mind in order to make this a successful campaign:

1.) BE PATIENT - not all stations will have it at the same time and not all stations will add it immediately.

2.) BE KIND - When requesting, if you're told no or "we don't have it", please don't take out frustrations on the dj. They are told what they can and can't play and if a new song is being requested, they haven't been given the thumbs up yet from management or they don't have the song yet. Thank them and move on.

3.) DO NOT contact program directors unless you know them personally or have been given permission from Jason or his management. Program directors and general managers should ONLY be contacted by the artist or an official representative of that artist. They only set aside a few hours a day to discuss new music with official representives (A&R people, promotions, management, etc). If they are on the phone with a fan, this ties up their time that they could be using to speak with the people they should be talking to.) Once you get on a PD or GM's bad side, that can definitely affect the outcome of what we're trying to do.

4.) Only use designated listener and request avenues such as posted request phone lines, email addresses, Twitter or Facebook pages, etc. These are there for YOU, the listener, to make your voice heard. Use them, but don't OVERUSE them. You don't want to make the station tired of the song before they even get it. Request the song regularly, but don't oversaturate the station with requests, especially by the same people over and over. They do catch on and trust me, they will let you know if you're overdoing it. That has the opposite effect of what we're trying to achieve.

5.) If a station does play it, either from your request, or you happen to hear it being played, SAY THANK YOU and TAKE NOTE OF THE STATION so we can let management know and they can thank them and fans can also let them know they appreciate it by promoting that station on social media. Always be sure to give back.

6.) And most of all, TALK ABOUT IT. Promote it on your social media pages, tweet about it, Facebook about it, Google Plus about it, Linked In about it, Myspace about it. If you have a blog, blog about it. Don't be afraid to tell people why you love the song and why you think Jason is a great artist who deserves the attention. Remember, not everyone is going to love the song and that's fine. We're all entitled to our opinions. Always show respect to other fans, even when you disagree. Remember, in a way, you are representing Jason in an "unofficial" manner and the way you deal with other fans reflects on him. Honky Tonk Friends are known for their dedication, kindness, respect and strength in numbers. So speak up, stand up and make a difference!

That being said, let's not just settle for a spark with this single, you've waited long enough and should be ready to start a fire. Let's show what the power of people who stand behind and believe in an artist can do. Your voice does make a difference.

Below are a couple of tools to help you with your promotion campaign:

Radio Locator : Here is the contact information for country stations in your area

Online Mediabase Request Forms: These are request forms for FAN use. Don't be afraid to use them. Find your closest reporting station and look on the form to see if "Close Enough" is listed as a song choice. If so, simply mark it and submit the form according to the station's directions. If the song is NOT listed, there should be a space near the bottom of the form to manually fill in the song title and artist name. These are usually checked once or twice a day. Please don't OVERUSE these forms either. One or two submissions a week is plenty!

DEEP SOUTH ENTERTAIMENT LAUNCHES TENNESSEE EAST MANAGEMENT AND SIGNS JASON MICHAEL CARROLL

I've been waiting so long to be able to announce this. Jason is in the best of hands with Dave Rose and Kevin Frazier. I've worked with Dave a few times in the past with various bands and Kevin is the owner of City Limits Saloon in Raleigh, NC who I currently work very closely with in promotions for their shows. I am ecstatic about this team, it's a great combination and look forward to helping them.

North Carolina-based Deep South Entertainment has launched Tennessee East Artist Management and signed Jason Michael Carroll to its roster. The new company is co-owned by Deep South President Dave Rose and NC venue owner Kevin Frazier; Frazier will lead the new company. Its first order of business is the radio release of Carroll's single "Close Enough" this spring, followed by a tour and live DVD later this year. More here.
