A THOUSAND HORSES AND RAM TRUCKS PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL WITH "MY TIME'S COMIN'"

POWERFUL NEW TRACK FEATURED IN RAM’S 2019 HEAVY DUTY AD CAMPAIGN

FIRST TASTE OF UPCOMING SOPHOMORE ALBUM, STARTING FIRES

PLATINUM selling Country-rockers A THOUSAND HORSES are helping RAM TRUCKS put the pedal to the metal in 2019, unveiling their new heavy-duty lineup with the band’s powerful track, “My Time’s Comin’.”

Filled with tough-as-nails determination and led by frontman Michael Hobby’s signature vocals, “My Time’s Comin’” was used to reveal Ram’s new heavy-duty models at Monday’s (1/14) 2019 North American International Auto Show, and will be promoted through a creative collaboration with RAM TRUCKS throughout 2019.

Click here to listen to “My Time’s Comin’.”

The anthemic rocker is the first look at A THOUSAND HORSES’ anticipated second album, STARTING FIRES, expected to release in 2019 and produced by GRAMMY-award winner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell). Cobb also produced the band’s Top 5 breakout album SOUTHERNALITY, which included their record-setting #1 debut, “Smoke.”

RAM TRUCKS are the longest lasting heavy duty trucks on the road, and the #2 heavy duty pickup brand in the world. Currently enjoying an explosion of excitement as the fastest growing truck brand in North America, the all-new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty is the most powerful heavy duty pickup in history, offering drivers an unheard of 1,000 pound-feet of torque.

Featuring Hobby alongside Bill Satcher (lead guitar), Zach Brown (guitar), and Graham Deloach (bass), A THOUSAND HORSES released BRIDGES in the summer of 2017 – a six-track EP which included the working-man’s anthem, “Preachin’ To the Choir.” They spent early 2018 firing up arenas around the country as direct support on KID ROCK’S AMERICAN ROCK N ROLL TOUR, and in December, “My Time’s Comin’” was first heard in CBS Network’s “One Shining Moment” coverage of the National Finals Rodeo.

SINGLE REVIEW: "(THIS AIN'T NO) DRUNK DIAL" - A THOUSAND HORSES

SINGLE: "(This Ain't No) Drunk Dial"
REVIEWER: Alyse Smith
Follow Alyse on Twitter at @ASmith1300

A Thousand Horses splashed onto the scene with “Smoke” and made it clear they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

“This Ain’t No Drunk Dial” is their sophomore single and once again, they do not disappoint. “This Ain’t No Drunk Dial” is a story about a guy who doesn’t want to let go of his girl just yet. He calls her up and says “I’ll take whatever blame you want me to, we don’t even have to talk about any of the stuff that happened, just leave the door open and I’ll be there.” He’s drank a few but wants to assure her “This Ain’t No Drunk Dial,” a very interesting spin on the usual cliché.

A Thousand Horses spoils you with vocals like nothing else on the radio right now. The words “Distinctive” and “addictive” have become their tagline. From the vivid tapestry woven to the whoa-oa-oa’s you won’t be able to do anything but turn this song up and leave it on repeat. This ain’t no drunk dial either, Thousand Horses because I’m swooning just listening to you. Co-written by lead vocalist Michael Hobby, Justin Crowder, Neil D. Mason and Cale Dodds, the story’s as good as the vocals and the instrumentals, all working together to craft a piece of music like you’ve never heard before.

A Thousand Horses will be increasingly successful jetting up the charts more than they already have if this is the material they’re going to consistently put out. It is without a doubt, one of the most unique and craveable sounds coming out of Nashville right now and I for one, absolutely cannot wait for more.

A Thousand Horses will be on tour all over the U.S. from now until October with their own headlining shows as well as on Darius Rucker’s Southern Style Tour, so be sure to catch a show!

A THOUSAND HORSES HITS TOP 5 AT FULL SPRINT, PREPS FOR TODAY SHOW, FOX & FRIENDS AND CMA FEST

Nine-piece rockin’ band with “undeniable swagger” readies release of debut album Southernality on June 9

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (May 5, 2015) – “Smoke” keeps rising for breakout country rockers A Thousand Horses, making them the first and only new act of 2015 to break Top 5 at Country radio, and it’s still climbing after only 14 weeks since their record-breaking debut at No. 28.

The Republic Nashville band’s record-setting debut single has reached the Top 5 on the Mediabase country songs chart today and is poised to achieve that status on Billboard’s Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts as well after storming out of the gates.

The news comes as A Thousand Horses prepares for a breakout series of appearances over the next six weeks in the run up to the release of debut album Southernality on June 9. The Nashville quartet consisting of frontman Michael Hobby, guitarists Zach Brown and Bill Satcher, and bassist Graham DeLoach, with a five-piece rollicking backing band including a three-piece harmony section, will make their first appearance and morning television performance on NBC’s The Today Show on May 11 and will visit Fox & Friends on May 13 before joining Darius Rucker and Brett Eldredge to kick-off the Southern Style Tour on May 14 in Holmdel, N.J.

“To know this band’s journey and the side-jobs we all had, the gigs we took for no money, the memories we made while all traveling in one van while we took turns driving overnight for years just to get our sound perfected and the music right, just makes this moment so incredible,” Hobby reflected. “We are incredibly humbled by Country radio’s response and the fans’ enthusiasm, and we just want to take a moment to let this all soak in.”

Just like “Smoke,” a song about a love interest whose presence lingers even when she’s not around, A Thousand Horses leave their listeners eager for more.

Fans who want more of the band right now can pre-order the Dave Cobb-produced Southernality on iTunes to immediately receive five songs. And there will be plenty of opportunities to see A Thousand Horses will also appear at the CMA Music Festival in June in Nashville, one of a handful of select festival appearances.

10 MUST SEE ARTISTS AT #CMAFEST2015

Country fans are getting ready to take over Music City for 4 days next month and most are excited about seeing the big names at LP Field but we're excited for you to experience the newer artists, those you may not be familiar with and see what they have to offer. You may find that you have a new favorite! Here are our choices for 10 of the best new artists you must see at CMA Fest this year (in no particular order.) They've each made a name for themselves this year and are names you'll be hearing long after you get home from CMA Fest.

She's got a contagious smile and an infectious attitude, but this country beauty has the voice and stage presence to make her the total package. With her current debut single, "Love Me Like You Mean It" sitting at #13 on the charts, Kelsea Ballerini is making her way to the top in record time.

Friday, June 12
12:45pm - 1:10pm
Bud Light Stage

You may know Craig as last season's "Comeback Kid" who went on to win NBC's hit series, "The Voice" last season, but Craig's not a new voice on the country block. Having pounded the streets of Nashville for years, he's finally made his way to the attention of Americans everywhere. His debut single, "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face" hit #1 right out of the gate, tying Garth Brooks as the only artist to debut at #1 and now his second single, "I"m Still Here" is quickly gaining momentum.

Sunday, June 14
 3:00pm
Chevy Riverfront Stage

This country girl isn't content to sit on the sidelines and watch other females get the attention, she's come out swinging with her singles "Sorry on the Rocks", "Famous" and her latest "I Only Smoke when I Drink". Kelleigh Bannen's made her presence known and has made her mark on country music.

Saturday, June 13
12:05pm - 12:30pm
 Bud Light Stage

Another artist we could go on for days about, Mo Pitney. Mo is the right artist at the right time in country music. Talk about well timed. Right when fans are getting tired of the same old same old, along comes this soft spoken guy with anything but a soft voice. Mo's single "Country", co-written with "Whispering" Bill Anderson has country fans shouting for "Mo Country", not "Bro Country". When a voice can bring an entire room to dead silence and put tears in the eyes of the listener, you know you've heard brilliance. He is the "ePITome" of traditional country from his baseball cap to his cowboy boots. This boy's blood runs thick with tradition and twang.

Tuesday, June 9

"The Countriest of the Country"
George Jones Museum
This is a ticketed event. Tickets available here.

Thursday, June 11
3:25pm - 3:50pm

Ray Scott is an original to say the least. His voice is deep and sexy, his attitude is brash and in your face and his music is the perfect combination of all of those ingredients. Ray is the guy your mama warned you about, but the artist that's proving that theory wrong because no one's mama could have ever had an imagination this good.

Tuesday, June 9
Storme Warren's Nashville Navy Party at Limelight
This is a ticketed event

Thursday, June 11

A Thousand Horses hit the scene running with the power of ... well ... a thousand horses. Their current single, "Smoke" is smoldering on the charts in the Top 10 and it's looking like they may just have their first #1 single very soon. Crowds gather quickly to hear these guys in action so you'll want to stake out your spot pretty early!

Thursday, June 11
1:25pm to 1:50pm
Bud Light Stage

How would we describe Brian Davis? Unapologetic, rowdy, drunk on country and ready to put a boot in any crowd's ass. Fresh off the Hell on Wheels tour with country bad boy, Brantley Gilbert, Brian's kicked into full party mode and it doesn't take an invite to his party because everyone is welcome to grab a cold one and pull up a tailgate. Brian has co-written many songs with area artists including Brantley's current hit, "One Hell of an Amen" and that's exactly what fans are saying at the end of a Brian Davis show - amen!

Friday, June 12
2:00pm - 2:30pm
Gildan Broadway Hard Rock Stage

Rick Monroe, the face of the Jagermeister Country Tour for the past few years, has been pushing the Nashville envelope for years just trying to get someone to finally open it and see what a winner he is. This year, that envelope's been opened with his latest CD, "It's a Love Thing" making waves with industry players and his single "Fire's Out" breaking onto the Billboard charts and was even featured on Fox News this morning!

Saturday, June 13
4:00pm to 4:30pm
Belk Park Stage

After years of being an independent artist, releasing his own music and trying to prove himself, his hard work and belief in himself paid off in spades with his indie single, "Buy Me a Boat" hitting #1 on the iTunes country charts and peaking at #7 on the all genres chart, edging out Taylor Swift with the video being financed and produced by CMT and finally signing a record deal with Warner Music Nashville. Chris is a phenomenal songwriter and an energetic, interactive artist who knows how to keep 'em coming to the shows and buying the music.

Saturday, June 13
2:05pm - 2:30pm
Bud Light Stage

Where did this spitfire come from? Cam came out of nowhere and blasted country listeners with her fun, flirty debut single "My Mistake" and now she's everywhere you look. With a bright personality, a unique and one of country music's strongest female voices, we'll be seeing and hearing much more from Cam.

Friday, June 12
2:05pm - 2:30pm
Bud Light Stage

SMOKIN' HOT GROUP A THOUSAND HORSES CELEBRATES CHART SUCCESS

Republic Nashville Act Blazes to No. 9-and-Climbing with ‘Smoke’ After Setting Record High for Debut Single

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (April 13, 2015) – Talk about storming out of the gate: A Thousand Horses has its first unanimous Top 10-and-climbing hit with “Smoke.”

The Republic Nashville band’s debut single from forthcoming album “Southernality” moved up to No. 9 on the Mediabase Country chart this week and No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs/Country Airplay chart, continuing a quick evolution for a band that’s already been hailed as newcomers to watch by voices of authority like Rolling Stone and USA Today. A Thousand Horses will make their morning television debut on NBC's Today Show on May 13 before hitting the road with Darius Rucker on May 14 in Holmdel, New Jersey.

"It feels amazing to see the reaction this song has had, and the support has been crazy and definitely something we have felt," says lead singer Michael Hobby. "We can't thank our fans and Country radio enough."

The band is comprised of Hobby, Bill Satcher and Zach Brown and bassist Graham DeLoach. Heavily influenced by the Southern rock and arena-sized country that was pervasive growing up in Georgia and South Carolina, A Thousand Horses has melded their musical influences into a sound that is resonating with fans nationwide. “Smoke” is an up-tempo love song about a woman whose memory sticks with you even when she’s not around.

The song is one of the reasons the critics have adopted the band and fans are clamoring for “Southernality,” out June 9 on Republic Nashville. Fans who pre-order the 13-track Dave Cobb-produced album on iTunes will immediately receive five songs, including “Smoke.”

The best way to preview the album before its release, though, is to catch the band on the road with Darius Rucker’s Southern Style Tour, starting this May. Rolling Stone Country called the band the best up-and-comer at last year’s Austin City Limits Festival and fans can see why as A Thousand Horses hits the road as a nine-piece with three backup singers, a fiddler and a keyboard player. USA Today listed the band in its "On The Verge" feature dedicated to breaking bands and Country Weekly named A Thousand Horses among its “Ones to Watch in Country Music 2015.”

“Along with recording a spectacular album, A Thousand Horses is also an absolutely killer live band. A one-of-a-kind show that everyone needs to see,” Republic Nashville President Jimmy Harnen said. “There is no limit to what this band can and will accomplish.”

SINGLE REVIEW: "SMOKE" - A THOUSAND HORSES

SINGLE: "Smoke"
ARTIST: A Thousand Horses

Purchase "Smoke" on iTunes

Newcomers A Thousand Horses have released their debut single “Smoke” and their vocals alone make one long for more.  Though this is my first exposure to A Thousand Horses, I already know that it won’t be my last.

A song written about a toxic addiction, a woman that he just can’t let go of.  Poisoning his life and his mind he can’t help but be enamored, can’t help but chase that high until he comes crashing down. He craves her after a bit of whiskey, craves her all the time even when he realizes “It’s killing me and I know, I can’t stop it once it starts.”  “She’ll go floating around like a downtown ballroom gypsy” is exceptionally vivid imagery and my favorite line of the song.  Excellently written and sonorously sung, “Smoke” is sure to create a hunger of its own, leaving what are sure to be legions of fans ravenous for more.

A Thousand Horses consists of venerable storytellers Michael Hobby, Bill Satcher, Graham Deloach and Zach Brown.  Alas, it seems that their only published tour date is Valentine’s Day in Indianapolis at Bunker’s Life Fieldhouse.  Hopefully, a tour is in the works and when it is, I can’t wait to see it.

Editor Update 1/13/15: Announced last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Darius Rucker has tapped A Thousand Horses as support on his Southern Style tour. Check www.dariusrucker.com for current listed dates.

SINGLE REVIEW: "DRUNK DIAL" - A THOUSAND HORSES

Single: "Drunk Dial"
Artist: A Thousand Horses
Written By: Han Van Meegerin
Twitter: @HanVanMeegerin

One doesn't need the powerful sound of an iron horse when the collective voice of A Thousand Horses is on the phone. “Drunk Dial” is their new single.

When I heard the opening lines to “Drunk Dial,”“Girl don't hang up, I called on purpose” in a twangy southern sound, my mind dialed up some Aaron Tippin, “Don't hang up the phone 'cause everything's not gone.” As the song unfolds, I hear further similarity in the meaning and sound of A Thousand Horses,“This ain't no drunk dial” and Tippin's,“Cause there's a whole lotta love on the line.”

Many people will relate to taking the long way home, listening to a song of courage and promising to remember what they will say. The lines “I know I ain't called in awhile” sound eerily like this phone call: “I know I've been away too long. I never got a chance to write or call” from George Strait's song, “I Can Still Make Cheyenne.” One hopes that it will produce a better outcome

This ain't no drunk dial is a powerful plea. The question is, after 3 minutes and 25 seconds will listeners keep A Thousand Horses on the line or simply hang up the phone on “Drunk Dial.” This listener heard the message and will keep “Drunk Dial” in my play list.
