"AND THE WINNERS ARE" ... ACM AWARD WINNERS LIST

The 59th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire, was held last night at The Star in Frisco, TX.

Highlights of the night included:

  • Lainey Wilson won the night's biggest award, the ACM Entertainer of the Year.
  • Chris Stapleton was the biggest winner of the night, taking home 4 awards, followed by Lainey Wilson with 3 awards and Luke Combs and Jordan Davis each taking home 2 wins.

Performance moments of the night:

  • Lainey Wilson started the party with a rousing cover of  Little Texas' “God Blessed Texas” and then her brand new single "Hang Tight Honey".
  • Jelly Roll wow'd the crowd with his performance of an unreleased song “Liar.”
  • Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan took the stage together for a mashed up rendition of her song “Mountain With A View” and his song “Stick Season".
  • Tigirlily Gold performed their song “I Tried A Ring On".
  • Cody Johnson touched hearts with his performance of “Dirt Cheap”.
  • Thomas Rhett turned up the excitement with his new song “Beautiful As You”
  • Miranda Lambert brought the heat with her new single, “Wranglers.”
  • Kane Brown put his "soul" into a heartfelt performance of the classic Ray Charles’ hit “Georgia on My Mind".
  • Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani sang their latest duet “Purple Irises".
  • The room went quiet for a powerfully emotional tribute to the late Toby Keith by Jason Aldean of Keith's hit song "Should’ve Been A Cowboy” accompanied by a small string section.
  • Chris Stapleton and pop artist Dua Lip amped things back up with a performance of “Think I’m In Love With You".
  • Post Malone knocked his country credibility up a notch with his performances of “Never Love You Again” and “I Had Some Help.” He also joined voices with Reba for a few verses of "Ramblin' Man" as as tribute to the late Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band.
  • Parker McCollum performed his hit “Burn It Down”
  • Nate Smith and pop icon Avril Lavigne lit it up with a collaboration of Smith’s hit song “Bulletproof”.
  • Reba brought the house down with her show ending performance of her newest single, "I Can't" joined by a 20 person choir.

Thank you to the ACM and all participants for another amazing night of music.

Congratulations to all of the winners below.

AND THAT'S A WRAP ... THIS YEAR'S ACM AWARDS ROCK VEGAS AND LIVING ROOMS EVERYWHERE

The ACM Awards were held in Las Vegas last night and live-streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Hosted by the legendary Dolly Parton and her co-hosts Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, the show did not fail to entertain by any means. This year the Academy of Country Music and the performers went all in and put on one hell of a show with outstanding energetic and emotional performances by Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Jimmie Allen, Carly Pearce & Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Breland, Lainey Wilson, Brothers Osborne (as a duo and with Brittney Spencer), Dolly & Kelsea Ballerini. Parmalee with Blanco Brown and Brooke Eden, Parker McCollum, Walker Hayes, Kane Brown, Chris Young (solo and with Mitchell Tenpenny), Luke Bryan (solo and with Jordan Davis), Jason Aldean & Carrie Underwood, and an emotional and a perfectly timed and much needed encouraging rendition of LeAnn Womack's classic "I Hope You Dance" by Gabby Barrett.

This was the show of the year and this is coming from a girl who normally finds a reason to change the channel during awards shows. I loved the whole show, but I really loved the streaming format. I know it resulted in some people who weren't Prime members not being able to watch, but this format allowed for virtually no commercials other than the occasional preview of new Amazon Prime shows, which meant this allowed for more new and upcoming artists to be showcased and give full performances. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to the well deserving winners listed below:
