THIS WEEK'S MEDIABASE ADDS LIST

Congratulations to all of the artists making this week's Mediabase Adds list. This week AGAIN was all about the new artists, having more adds than established artists as a whole! People are paying attention to the new music and it's starting to show. Let's keep that trend going! I've started posting the list with both new and established artists so you can see the comparison in numbers.

REMEMBER: An add does NOT guarantee air play, it simply means the station has added the song to their library. Air play is based on demand and sales, so get on the phone/internet/text and start requesting your favorites now. Most major radio stations now allow you to text or email your requests so it's not just making a phone call anymore. If you don't request, don't complain when you don't hear your favorite artist on the radio, plain and simple. These guys need our help, so let's show them we support them and their hard work. Don't depend on their side to do all the promoting if you really love an artist, jump in there and work with them.

Just a side note: The number of new music adds this week speaks volumes for how much radio is liking the new stuff. Way to go! Some of our favorites that we're glad to see this week include James Wesley, Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, Austin Webb, Craig Campbell, Aaron Lewis and Brett Eldredge.

Take a Listen - Start Requesting Now: "Things You Can't Do In A Car" - Due West

Impacting Radio May 14, 2012

START REQUESTING NOW!

"THINGS YOU CAN'T DO IN A CAR"
WRITTEN BY BRAD HULL

That handle sticks on the passenger side
But she don’t mind climbing in on mine ‘cause that’s where she rides
I work the clutch and she shifts the gears
We take a one way, unpaved to a place way outta here
Yeah, way outta here

Down a rough road where a car can’t go
Up in the hills where you need four-wheel
Let down the tailgate watch her tan legs sway
To the rhythm of me strumming on my guitar
Lay back in the bed, lay her head on my chest
Beneath a billion stars
Doin’ things you can’t do, things you can’t do
Doin’ things you can’t do in a car

This Saturday, I’m helping Tommy out
Hitch on the ball, we’ll be hauling dry wall to his momma’s house
Later on that night, when the work is done
I got a hot date, can’t wait, my baby’s gettin’ made up
To have a little fun

Down a rough road where a car can’t go
Up in the hills where you need four-wheel
Let down the tailgate watch her tan legs sway
To the rhythm of me strumming on my guitar
Lay back in the bed, lay her head on my chest
Beneath a billion stars
Doin’ things you can’t do, things you can’t do
Doin’ things you can’t do in a car

Pull a boat, move a couch, hook a chain, drag it out
Hang a gun on the rack, hot tub in the back
Horsepower and a winch help a buddy out the ditch
Have some fun in the mud, maybe we can get stuck...

Florida Georgia Line to Release Debut EP on May 15.

Two of our favorite guys ever, Florida Georgia Line, are releasing their debut digital EP "It’z Just What We Do" on Tuesday, May 15.

The EP is produced by Joey Moi who has worked with Jake Owen, Nickelback and other big names. The release features five-songs including the lead single,“Cruise,” which will be introduced to country radio in late May. Florida Georgia Line is Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, who co-wrote all five songs on the EP. The guys recently visited MusicRow, and are now previewing the new music for fans on their website before the EP is even released. Genius!

Track Listing:

1. Cruise
2. Get Your Shine On
3. Tip It Back
4. Tell Me How You Like It
5. It’z Just What We Do

Florida Georgia Line is part of the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour lineup hitting the road this summer, starting May 18 in Gulfport, MS and headliners are Gary Allan, Rodney Atkins, Justin Moore, and others.

We will be reviewing this one once we get it and we KNOW you're gonna love it! We've loved these guys since the first note we ever heard them play. Big things are comin' for Tyler and Brian. Let your radio station know you love them and want to hear "Cruise".

RANDY HOUSER TO RELEASE NEW RADIO SINGLE, “HOW COUNTRY FEELS,” MONDAY, MAY 7

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Randy Houser joined Stoney Creek Records in late 2011. Named the Most Played New Artist of the Year in 2009 by Mediabase, previous hit singles include “Boots On,” “Whistlin’ Dixie” and “Anything Goes." Now he’s back with an upbeat, addictive new single, “How Country Feels,” impacting radio Monday, May 7. Fans will be able to download the new song on iTunes Tuesday, May 8.

“How Country Feels” is Randy’s first single release on Stoney Creek Records and serves as a sneak-peek of what fans can expect from his third album that will hit stores later this year.

"My entire life has changed since my last single, I mean in every way," shares Randy. "I got married to my beautiful wife, have an amazing baby boy, and a passionate new label team that feels more like family. One thing that has not changed though is my passion to make music and grow as an artist. I'm so excited about 'How Country Feels' and the reaction I'm getting out on the road when playing it live!"

In support of the new release, Randy is currently headlining a Jagermeister Presents Tour and will be performing at other festivals nationwide.
