"I Like Girls That Drink Beer"; New Single From Toby Keith's New Album Bows July 24 at Radio & Retail

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) His latest smash song is still ringing in radio listeners' ears and his previous hit, “Red Solo Cup,” just certified double platinum. But if there's one constant in the career of Toby Keith, it's the inexorable progression of new music. "I Like Girls That Drink Beer," the first single from Toby's next album, arrives at radio and all digital download sites July 24.

“We were in the studio and everybody who heard it was like, 'You've got to release that,’” Keith said.

Written by Keith with longtime collaborator Bobby Pinson, "I Like Girls That Drink Beer" marries a dyed-in-the-wool country sound with an equally on-point sentiment: "Bye bye, baby I'm leavin'/You can keep your mansion and your money/Your boat and your Benz and your uptown friends/And your country club that ain't really country." Keith promises he'll find what he wants in a honkytonk. Because, of course, he likes girls that drink beer.

As he did on his critically acclaimed 2011 No. 1 album Clancy's Tavern, Keith produced the new single and continues work on the rest of the music that will comprise his next release. A specially mastered version of the song will be available on iTunes.

In other Toby Keith news, his viral sensation "Red Solo Cup," the second single from Clancy's Tavern, has just been certified double platinum by the RIAA. Toby remains on his standing room only Live In Overdrive Tour, Presented by Ford F-Series. And associated endeavors including his I Love This Bar And Grill restaurants and Wild Shot Mezcal continue to experience rapid growth in their markets.

THIS WEEK'S NEW ARTIST MEDIABASE ADDS - JUNE 4, 2012

Congratulations to all of the new artists making this week's Mediabase Adds list. People are paying attention to the new music and it's starting to show by the increasing number of stations adding these artists to their libraries. Let's keep that trend going! This list comes to me with both new and established artists, but I choose to only showcase the new artists so you can see how great they're doing as a whole. REMEMBER: An add does NOT guarantee air play, it simply means the station has added the song to their library. Air play is based on demand and sales, so get on the phone/internet/text and start requesting your favorites now. Most major radio stations now allow you to text or email your requests so it's not just making a phone call anymore. If you don't request, don't complain when you don't hear your favorite artist on the radio, plain and simple. These guys need our help, so let's show them we support them and their hard work. Don't depend on their side to do all the promoting if you really love an artist, jump in there and work for them and with them!

Best News We've Heard All Day: "How Country Feels", the New Single from Randy Houser Impacting Radio May 7

Y'all better get ready for a promotional blitzkrieg on the new single from Randy Houser, who is one of our favorite artists ever. The single is called "How Country Feels" and impacts country radio on May 7, 2012. This is Randy's debut on his new label, Stoney Creek Records and if Thompson Square is any indication of the power this label has for an artist, then be prepared for an onslaught with Randy Houser. This one's been a long time comin' and let's make sure we're ready. Remember that radio adds just mean the station has it available to play but it's YOUR impact that gets it actual airplay. Start requesting and let radio know you're ready to know "How Country Feels" because no one can deliver real country like Randy Houser. Did I mention we're giddy about this and it's the best news ever?

New Adds: Songs You Need to Start Requesting Now!

If you want to help your favorite artists, one of the best things, and free things, you can do is keep requesting them on your local radio station. You can also request on GAC or CMT if they have a video that's recently been released. An add does NOT mean that the song will get airplay, it only means the station has added it to their library of music, the rest is up to you to make sure it gets the airplay it deserves. Don't be rude when you call a station, be nice and let the person who takes your request know how much you really like the song and that you'd like to help make it a permanent addition to their playlist. Don't call them over and over or CONSTANTLY request on the station's website, Twitter or Facebook either, that will have a counter- productive result and they will get tired of hearing about it. You don't want any negative emotions attached to an artist's song and those will result if you hound a radio station and constantly bombard them. Spread the word, but spread it nicely and tell your friends to do the same.

Here are some songs that have recently been added to radio or are coming up for radio adds that you should start requesting now:

If you can't find a contact for your local station - here is all the info you need - RADIO LOCATOR
