LIZZIE SIDER CONTINUES ANTI-BULLYING MESSAGE WITH "NO ONE HAS THE POWER TO RUIN YOUR DAY" FLORIDA SCHOOL TOUR

Florida native lends her voice and message to students across state during school assemblies

PRESS RELEASE

BOCA RATON, FL (January 27, 2014) — LIZZIE SIDER, 15-year old emerging country artist, is continuing her tour of elementary and middle schools, by conducting her Bully Prevention Assembly at over 100 schools during January, February and March of 2014, throughout the entire State of Florida.  The tour continues after a successful weekend in Nashville, where Sider performed the national anthem at the Nashville Predators game before taking the stage at the historic Bluebird CafĂ©.

"Bullying doesn't just happen in October during Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, it happens all year," says Lizzie Sider.  "As someone who understands what it is like to be bullied, I am on a mission to help anyone who doesn't think anyone will listen."

During the 30 to 40-minute assembly, Sider will encourage kids to help prevent bullying as she recounts her own personal journey as a young student being teased and ridiculed in elementary school, what it felt like, and how she tried to deal with it.  In addition, Lizzie discusses the importance of everyone standing up to stop bullying.  She will also perform her original song "Butterfly," which Sider co-wrote about her experience and how she overcame the teasing.  Her goal is to help kids as a positive role model, having risen above her own ridicule, to pursue a career in music.

As a spokesperson for PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, which was launched by PACER in 2006, Sider has already visited over 80 schools in California before starting her school tour in Florida.

Sider appeared on The Queen Latifah Show, has been interviewed by Access Hollywood, Billboard, Hallmark's Home & Family show, TIME for Kids, Nashville's Crook & Chase, and was named by the Country Music Association as an "Artist to Watch in 2013."  Lizzie, who splits her time between Boca Raton, FL and Nashville, TN, recently participated in her first CMA Music Fest week with her own booth and with a live performance at the famed country music venue, the Wildhorse Saloon.  Both "Butterfly" and her follow-up single, "I Love You That Much," charted in the Top 40 on MusicRow.  The video for "I Love You That Much" was directed by award-winning Steven Goldmann, whose past credits include Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and Shania Twain.  Sider is currently working on her first full-length studio album for release in 2014.

COUNTRY WEEKLY TO PREMIERE BRIAN MILSON'S NEW MUSIC VIDEO "NOTHING GROWS IN SHADOWS" STARTING TODAY AT COUNTRYWEEKLY.COM

MILSON SET TO PERFORM SINGLE ON HUCKABEE, OCTOBER 26TH IN SUPPORT OF NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH

Nashville, Tenn. (September 25, 2013) – Brian Milson is one of country's brightest young stars--and he is a man on a mission. As part of that mission, Brian will be premiering his new anti-bullying music video “Nothing Grows In Shadows,” starting today with Country Weekly magazine (http://www.countryweekly.com/music/nothing-grows-shadows-and-its-anti-bullying-message). In addition, Brian will head to New York City on October 26th to perform on Fox News Channel’s HUCKABEE.

Brian, who has ridden an electric stage presence and an enviable road apprenticeship into the national spotlight, is well aware of country music's affiliation with good causes. Few artists, though, ever embrace one so early and so effectively.

Brian's breakthrough single, "Nothing Grows In Shadows," not only establishes him as a singer to be reckoned with, it makes a powerful and compelling statement about a genuine societal plague--bullying.

"I was bullied as a kid," says the Odessa, TX-born singer, "and I'm afraid I did a little of it myself, so this song means a great deal to me. The statistics are just horrendous--one out of four kids is bullied. On any given day, kids just stay home out of a fear of bullying. And 85 percent of the time, there's no intervention. This is a song that addresses that."

"Nothing Grows in Shadows" tackles the subject head-on, challenging those who perpetuate it and offering support to those who fall victim, before wrapping it up in a verse that makes the subject spine-tinglingly personal.

As in the best songs, though, it is effective because of Brian's delivery. His is an honest, straightforward style perfectly suited to the dramatic storyline and the admonition that it's up to all of us to make a difference. The song is a stirring blend of craft and emotion, displaying the kind of vocal power and integrity that mark all of Brian's work.

"Nothing Grows in Shadows" is the public's first taste of an album Brian cut in Nashville with one of the all-time great producers, James Stroud (Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Chris Young).

“Brian can just flat out sing,” says Stroud, with an air of authority on the topic. “There’s a power and a depth to his voice that’s extremely rare and just draws you in to these songs.”

Now, with the release of "Nothing Grows In Shadows," all that education and experience has come together. For the young man from Odessa, the journey is just beginning.

MATT KENNON LAUNCHES NATIONAL 'MUSIC THAT MATTERS' VIDEO CAMPAIGN SUPPORTING THE FIGHT AGAINST BULLYING

Students Nationwide Are Invited To Submit Unique Anti-Bullying Videos
For The Campaign Now Through October 15, 2012

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 20, 2012)—Inspired by the troubles of a young boy he befriended at a school visit last year, Matt Kennon, known for his devotion to writing songs with purpose, penned the song “You Had To Pick On Me” with fellow writers Jami Grooms and Garrett Parris. Addressing the rising issue of bullying, the song has already garnered national attention on its own merit, giving a voice to those who could not speak.

“The overwhelming response and encouragement from my friends, family and the entire community for my song and its message has inspired us to try and reach even more people by developing the 'Music That Matters' Video Campaign,” states Matt Kennon. “My last recording, ‘The Call,’ reached over 3.6 million people through YouTube, and I know that with the support of schools, parents and community members,‘You Had To Pick On Me’ and its message could reach many more. We need to raise awareness and generate support against bullying, and hopefully this song will help produce a necessary call-to-action.”

From now until October 15, 2012, schools nationwide are invited to join the 'Music That Matters' Video Campaign by submitting student-made videos for the song “You Had To Pick On Me”. At the end of the campaign, the Top Five videos (based on quality and content) will be featured in a nationwide contest for the public to vote on their favorite video, where the winning school will then be recognized with a free concert and meet-and-greet event with Matt Kennon. Additional videos receiving the highest fan-votes will be considered for placement in the official “You Had To Pick On Me” Matt Kennon video.

Through these videos and growing community participation, Kennon hopes that the anti-bullying movement will become unstoppable. “We encourage all schools and kids to share their voices,”adds Kennon. “Let’s make a difference against bullying and protect our future of America, the kids!”

MUST WATCH VIDEO: "YOU HAD TO PICK ON ME" - MATT KENNON - PUT AN END TO BULLYING NOW

Everyone MUST SEE this brand new student made video from Matt Kennon for his song, "You Had to Pick on Me". Bullying is a wide spreading epidemic and more and more children are taking their own lives because of the hurtful and mean things others do and say to them. This has to STOP NOW!

If you see kids being picked on or bullied, please step in and stop it, teach your kids to do the same. This could be YOUR child. I've seen first hand the effects that bullying has on a child. A former co-worker of mine came home to find her son hanging from a sheet off their 3rd floor apartment balcony several years ago. I've seen the devastation it leaves behind on the families and the needless suffering. There's NO NEED for it.

Teach your kids that bullying is wrong and will not be tolerated. Teach them to learn to accept others as they are and learn to get along, they might find a friend they never knew they could have. If your child says they're being bullied, take them seriously and get to the core of the problem. Take the steps you need to take as a parent to make it stop. Bullying isn't just a problem with children, adults are just as bad, if not worse. This includes physical, mental, and internet bullying. We all have feelings, we all get hurt and we all have insecurities at any age. Stop this behavior before it goes too far. Thank you Matt for this insight from a child's point of view.

Stop the Bullying ...

This is heartbreaking and the sad thing is, bullying happens at ALL ages, not just to kids. Kids and adults get bullied all the time for how they look, how they dress, how rich and how poor they are, but most of the time it's just because people are mean. When it comes to bullying, no one is really exempt from being hurt, not one of us. Adults can defend themselves, unlike kids, but regardless of age, it hurts. Stop the hate, stop the negativity, and stop doing what you can to purposely hurt other people and damage their self-esteem. Stop the gossip, stop talking in your posts and timelines about others, just stop and think before you speak or before you type. I won't put up with it in my circles and luckily, I don't think I have many in my circles that would sink to these depths or at least I hope I don't. Think first and imagine if this was your kid or even you.

Lovin' Lyrics Music Promotions strongly supports the Anti-Bullying campaign and Cowboy Troy as it's ambassador. We do not condone bullying, trash talking, bashing or any other negative and hurtful comments on our site, our Twitter timelines or our Facebook pages. If we catch it or are advised of it, it will be dealt with accordingly by deleting the person from our social media pages, blocking and reporting them to the proper channels.
