CHRIS YOUNG IS FIRST COUNTRY ARTIST TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RECORDING ACADEMY ®REIMAGINED SERIES

Young Covers "Change the World" Exclusively For GRAMMY.com

Nashville, TN (October 11, 2013) – RCA Records singer-songwriter Chris Young recently performed an impressive rendition of Eric Clapton’s classic hit "Change The World" for an installment of ReImagined – a new online series launched by the GRAMMY Awards® and The Recording Academy®, which spotlights contemporary artists talking about and performing their own take on GRAMMY®-honored songs. Young’s stirring performance, shot in Los Angeles late last month, and an interview about the song can be seen exclusively at GRAMMY.com beginning today.

Young is the first country artist to participate in the new web series, created to connect the legacy of the GRAMMY’s with the present and future. The 28 year old vocalist, who Billboard Magazine recently said “Possesses one of the strongest, most distinctive voices among country’s current crop,” earned his own GRAMMY nomination in 2011 for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for one of his five No. 1 hits, GOLD-selling single, "Gettin' You Home."

Fans can also check out exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and an interview from the set on the TV news series, OMG! Insider.

Just weeks after releasing his critically acclaimed new album, A.M., Young isn’t slowing down anytime soon. His current single, “Aw Naw,” broke into the Top 10 this week on the country radio charts, and he is about to kick off the fall leg of Brad Paisley’s Beat This Summer Tour on October 17th.

CHRIS YOUNG CELEBRATES LATE NIGHT WITH A.M.

Nashville, TN –  (August 28, 2013) - ‘Nothing good happens after midnight’ goes the old adage. But RCA Records singer songwriter Chris Young has a different opinion entirely. “There’s plenty of great stuff that happens after midnight,” says Chris. “People have a good time, fall in love, work through problems and relationships, lots of good things happen after midnight and that’s why we called the album A.M.”

Chris recognizes all of those aspects with the September 17 release of his new album, A.M.. The title track, written by Chris with pals Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley, celebrates the party side of late night. “A.M. is a big fun ode to, we’re having fun, it’s past midnight and it’s on,” laughed Chris. “I love hanging out with friends, having fun, playing music, and that happens a lot in the wee hours.”

“Goodbye,” another song on the album, acknowledges the relationship dynamic that happens in the late night. “In ‘Goodbye,’ the girl shows up at 11:30 pm on her boyfriend’s doorstep in tears that they’re going to break up but he assures her their relationship is worth fighting for, it’s too good to say goodbye,” said Chris.

“While we wrote the title track and ‘Goodbye’ in the same day, the songs couldn’t be more opposite in every way but they deal with things that happen late at night,” Chris said. Chris wrote six of the 11 songs on the album including the current single, “Aw Naw,” which is fast climbing the singles charts. Pre-order A.M. here: iTunes: http://smarturl.it/AMitunes; Amazon: http://smarturl.it/A.M.Amazon; Walmart: http://smarturl.it/CYWalmartPre.
