Brian Collins was born in West Georgia and is the honest definition of a true southern soul. He is cited as being one of the top singer/songwriters in the business and on top of that is also a producer, engineer and graphic designer. In 2005 he launched his own label “Blue Light Entertainment” where he not only personally designed all of the recording rooms but, also produced/ engineered tracks and albums for some pretty big named artists such as Skid Row and rapper T.I. In October 2014, Collins released highly anticipated album “Healing Highway” which features his most recent single “Shine a Little Light.

With all of the negativity we see going on in the world, this is the type of song that is a must listen to in order to prove that there is still good left. It’s definitely a great pick me up song for anyone going through any kind of tough time. In his lyrics he talks about how everyone at some point in their lives go through hard times but that their not alone and in the end everything will turn out ok.

This is definitely one of best inspirational songs that I have heard in a long time and I definitely suggest checking it out if you haven’t done so already.

SINGLE REVIEW: "NEVER REALLY LEFT" - BRIAN COLLINS

SINGLE: "Never Really Left"
ARTIST: Brian Collins

Purchase "Never Really Left" on iTunes

Brian Collins’ debut single “Never Really Left” is a mid-tempo song about hometown love, specifically love for his hometown and the one he found in his hometown. He met his girl in the small town they grew up in. He loves and misses the town, wanting them to get back for a visit before too long, but at the same time with her he’s home all the time. He can see all the little details of their life growing up there in her and in himself. It’s so ingrained in both of them that it’s like he “never really left.” As Collins is from a small town outside of Atlanta, Georgia that may be the town referenced in this song. However, the lyrics here have appeal for anyone nostalgic and far from home. The experiences listed here could be present in any town, from the downtown strolls where he and his paramour “walk down Main Street” to his arbor-scaling childhood where his “roots run deep as that old oak tree I climbed up in as a child.” Prototypical experiences that make up a primary life are what’s listed here. The truth of the matter is, we always take a little bit of home with us wherever we go, no matter what or where that home is. This song exemplifies that.
