JT HODGES HOSTS 2nd ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT BROWN DOG FOUNDATION
November 26, 2013 – Nashville, TN – Show Dog- Universal Music’s JT Hodges will host his second annual Holiday Howler charity event, benefitting the Brown Dog Foundation. "Animals, like people, will get sick or need medical attention at some point in time and as a dog owner, I know those bills can be pricy,” said JT Hodges.
During difficult financial times, the Brown Dog organization helps pet owners bridge the gap between the cost of medical care and saving the family pet.
The Holiday Howler takes place Monday, December 3, 6pm at the Gibson Showroom (located at 1121 Church Street) and will feature musical performances from Hodges, Chris Stapleton, Jonathan Singleton and Whitney Duncan. Tickets can be purchased at www.browndogfoundation.org or a $5 donation may be given at the door. In addition to live performances, the event will also offer door prizes, a silent auction, free drinks and “doggie bags” for your furry friends.
Holiday Howler is sponsored by Vietti Chilli, Nashville Event and Lighting, Nashville Lifestyles, Yelp, Pet Safe and Irish Dog Bloody Mary Mix.
The Brown Dog Foundation’s mission is to offer pet owners in temporary financial crisis an alternative to euthanasia when their pet faces a treatable but life-threatening condition or illness in order to restore quality of life for pet and owner. JT Hodges Presents the 2011 Holiday Howler Benefit for the Brown Dog Foundation
JT decided to host this fundraiser because of 2 things, his dedication to and love of dogs and special focus of Brown Dog. The Foundation assists pet owners with the cost of life-saving veterinary care for their pets during times of temporary financial despair. His own dog, Dax, injured his leg a few years ago and required an expensive specialty surgery. Luckily, JT carries pet insurance, so their portion of the bill was reduced but he knows that not everyone can afford pet insurance and that these are hard times for all of us, so being able to comfortably afford vet bills when the family pet falls ill or gets injured isn't easy and unfortunately the dogs must be the ones to suffer the most and the family know that they were unable to do anything because they simply didn't have the money. It's a hard situation to deal with and JT wants to do his part to help the Foundation by holding this fundraiser. Being a dog owner myself and knowing how important my dog is to me, I am 100% supportive of JT and the Brown Dog Foundation. What a wonderful thing.
Unable to attend, but still want to help?

JT asks that those in attendance make a minimum donation of $5 at the door and come prepared to give generously throughout the evening. Door prizes and gift bags for the first 50 guests will make this event FUN for everyone! Meet several of Brown Dog Foundation's grant recipients also! They plan to serve Irish Dog Bloody Marys and Yazoo's Dos Perros Beer. The server's tips will be donated to the Foundation. Additional giving opportunities will be announced throughout the evening.
