COUNTRY'S FAMILY REUNION REFLECTS ON 'THE LAND OF THE FREE' WITH "GOD BLESS AMERICA AGAIN" SERIES

Mark Wills

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2015) – Within a patriotic song lies the power to shape a nation. Like the post-9/11 morale-boosting “God Bless The U.S.A,” by Lee Greenwood and the politically charged “God Bless America Again” by Bobby Bare, songs can bring us together in solidarity, or break us apart. Devoted to those anthems that make us proud to be Americans and reflect on our ability to freely express our beliefs without fear of ridicule, Country’s Family Reunion brings viewers the celebrated series, “God Bless America Again,” just in time for Memorial Day.

Hosted by ‘Whispering’ Bill Anderson, the patriotic 4-part special, "God Bless America Again," kicks off on Friday, May 15 and airs weekly through Sunday, June 7 on RFD-TV. It features performances by Lee Greenwood, Bobby Bare, John Conlee (“They Also Serve”), Ray Stevens (“Farther Along”), Jimmy Fortune (“In God We Trust”), Jan Howard (“My Son”), David Hall (“Riding With Private Malone”), The Gatlin Brothers (“The American Trilogy”), Mark Wills (“Looking For America”), Daryle Singletary (“America”), Jim Ed Brown (“Uncloudy Day”), and many more.

Join Anderson and the performing artists as they sing, share stories, songs and memories, and pay tribute to those military servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom this Memorial Day.

Upcoming Country’s Family Reunion Airdates:

5/15: Bobby Bare, Con Hunley, The Whites, Mark Wills, Joey + Rory, Jean Shepard

5/22: Jimmy Fortune, Jeannie Seely, Jim Ed Brown, Rhonda Vincent, Lee Greenwood

5/29: Bill Anderson, Aaron Tippin, Teea Goans, Jan Howard, John Conlee, David Hall, Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers

6/5: Linda Davis, Ray Stevens, Marty Raybon, Dailey & Vincent (with Christian Davis and Jeff Parker), Gene Watson, Daryle Singletary

From now until May 15, Country’s Family Reunion is celebrating the best of bluegrass with the “Simply Bluegrass” series hosted by Ricky Skaggs and Bill Anderson. Guests include Bobby Osborne, Jesse McReynolds, Dierks Bentley, Larry Cordle, Ronnie Reno, Ramona Jones, Sam Bush, Mac Wiseman, Rhonda Vincent and many more. For more information, view the series trailer or visit cfrvideos.com.

Additional airdates can be found by visiting rfdtv.com. Country’s Family Reunion airs at 8 p.m. ET on Fridays and 12 a.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays.
