Bring the Joy of Music to Someone Who Needs It This Year

How about giving a little of yourself this new year and instead of focusing so much on how much you're gonna get paid for a show, waive your fee and play a free show for someone whose situation needs brightening, someone who might love music but might not be in a position to come pay to hear you play. Underpriviledged kids, foster kids, orphaned kids - they all deserve the chance to hear good music and what a better thing to do with your time and your talent? Homeless shelters, women's shelters, at a soup kitchen during mealtimes, senior centers, retirement homes or even your local school are all great places to get your music heard and make a difference. Most of these places would more than welcome the gift of your time and talent, why not give it? Don't always let money be what determines where and who you play for. Sometimes the benefit of making a difference far outweighs the small amount you might walk away from a paid show with.

It can be a children's home, school, nursing home, hospital, anywhere you think may be a place where people can't always get out to the music and it can be brought to them instead.
