The group's frontman, Marty Raybon, couldn't be more thrilled to lend a helping hand to a cause near and dear to his heart. "Christmas is such an exciting time for children," he explains. "Whether it’s in need of essentials or the wants of a toy or two. Having the opportunity to host Christmas 4 Kids this year is truly a wonderful feeling knowing we have a small part to play in the most wonderful time of the year."

About Christmas 4 Kids

Christmas 4 Kids is a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence for over three decades. Each year, the organization provides hundreds of underprivileged children in Middle Tennessee with their very own Christmas shopping spree. The funds generated by the Ryman concert and Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet event, are used to give over 400 children from 29 different schools, a day-long shopping excursion. The special day consists of a chauffeured trip from their school aboard an entertainer's luxury tour bus, dinner, and a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus. To wrap up the day, the tour buses journey to the Hendersonville, Tennessee Walmart where the children receive a brand new winter coat, and $175.00 to spend however they choose.

CHRISTMAS 4 KIDS REVEALS 2020 PLANS: PHIL VASSAR VIRTUAL CONCERT AND NEWLY ADDED “WHEN PIGS FLY" BBQ DINNER AND BOURBON TASTING FEATURING ROCKLAND ROAD AND SURPRISE MUSICAL GUESTS

Due to the pandemic, Christmas 4 Kids (C4K) — a non-profit organization that provides hundreds of underprivileged kids in Middle Tennessee with a joyful Christmas they wouldn’t otherwise receive — is pivoting from its usual fundraising events. This year the charity will host a special virtual concert with country music star Phil Vassar. Additionally, a new event is being added to the docket: “When Pigs Fly," a BBQ dinner and bourbon tasting event featuring Rockland Road and surprise musical guests. The new fundraising effort will be made possible thanks to a partnership with Live Love Nashville, the Hendersonville Parks Department and HolidayFest.

Catered by Martin's BBQ, the newly added dinner will take place on Saturday, November 7 at 7:00 pm/CT behind the Ultimate Party Super Store, located at 246 West Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee. Tickets are $50.00 each, with an additional charge of $5.00 for Bourbon Tasting, provided by Lipman Brothers, and $10.00 to participate in a rib-eating contest sponsored by Texas Roadhouse. This event is also the first in a series of Hendersonville Hometown Jam music events for 2020. The Hometown Jam was started in 2019 by the Hendersonville Parks Department, and this year will feature multiple nights that benefit different charities throughout the year.

Live Love Nashville, a local 501c3 that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various local charities, will be hosting an online giving campaign with 100% of all gifts going to C4K. Live Love Nashville’s core values are helping children who are less fortunate, and this mission is a perfect match for C4K.

HolidayFest is a non-profit community service organization that serves as the umbrella organization to promote, market, and act as the governing body to set policies and determine approval of the charity and service organizations that are supported. HolidayFest has worked to raise funds for local charities for the past 16 years.

To close out this year’s events, on Monday, November 23, renowned country music artist Phil Vassar will host Phil Vassar & Friends for an at-home virtual concert starting at 7:00 pm/CT. Online tickets are $25.00 each and can be purchased at philvassar.com  Virtual meet-and-greet passes can also be purchased for an additional amount.

"Our community has rallied to help us to provide a wonderful Christmas for 400 kids,” says Linda O’Connell, C4K President. “Live Love Nashville, the Parks Department, the Hendersonville Hometown Jam and HolidayFest have joined us to create an unbeatable team that cannot be stopped. We hate that we won't able to enjoy the children in person, but we will ensure they have a great Christmas.”

Due to current social distancing restrictions, the shopping spree will be done a little differently this year. Each child will still receive the $150.00 shopping spree, but the kids will provide “wish lists” to volunteers who will personally shop for them at the Hendersonville Walmart on December 7th-8th. The Christmas gifts will then be delivered to the children at their appropriate schools on December 15.

The bus show will take place on Monday, December 16 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm/CT at the Hendersonville Walmart, located at 204 Anderson Lane North.

The bus show provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look into an artist's home away from home. Fans can speak one-on-one and take photos with any of the participating artists as well as receive personalized autographs.

Admission to the event is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for children ages 2-12 and $20 for a family pass. Admission for children under two is free. Tickets may be purchased on-site the day of the event.

On Tuesday, December 17, over 400 underprivileged children from 29 different schools around Middle Tennessee will participate in a day-long shopping excursion. This special day consists of a chauffeured trip from their school aboard an entertainer's luxury tour bus, dinner, and a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus. To wrap up the day, the tour buses journey to the Hendersonville Walmart, where the kids receive a brand new winter coat and $150.00 to spend on anything they like.

However, as the volunteer chaperones will confess, many of the children are more concerned about finding a gift for their siblings rather than themselves, so their brothers and sisters will have something to open on Christmas Day.

Please note, the traffic on Gallatin Road (from Albert Gallatin Ave in Gallatin to Anderson Lane in Hendersonville) will likely be affected on the shopping day (5:00 to 6:00 p.m./CT) due to the amount of tour buses on the road escorting the kids to-and-from the shopping excursion.
