Collin Raye may be known for his smash country music hits of the '90s, but he also has a love for another genre: classic rock. Now, for the first time live in concert, Raye will tip his hat to the beloved musical era when he takes the stage at Nashville's 3rd & Lindsley on Wednesday, January 26.

"I'm very excited to be performing with our new rock 'n' roll band, The Riff Raff, later this month at 3rd & Lindsley," says Raye. "It's something I've wanted to do for a long time. It's a tribute to the greatest American and British rock 'n' roll music of all time!"

The live concert, titled Collin Raye and The Riff Raff: A Salute to Classic Rock, kicks-off at 8 p.m. local time in Music City.

"I grew up on classic country music artists like Haggard, Jones, Buck, Cash, Waylon, Johnny Horton, Charley Pride, Tammy Wynette, Dolly, Connie Smith, Ray Price, and all the greats," Raye continues. "But I discovered rock 'n' roll in my teens and grew to love it as well. My brother and I played a lot of both styles of music throughout our youth and were influenced by both genres."

Raye believes the live event will take concertgoers on a musical journey to a time when life seemed a little less chaotic. "My goal with The Riff Raff is to take the audience back to another time in their lives when we were young and carefree with life still ahead of us," he explains. "For two or three hours, we'll be young and carefree again! We feel the atmosphere at 3rd & Lindsley is an ideal place to do this. I invite everyone who loves classic rock to come out and see us for a night of fun and musical nostalgia!"

Tickets are on-sale now at 3rdandlindsley.com.

AMERICAN SONGWRITER PREMIERES LYRIC VIDEO FOR NEW COLLIN RAYE SINGLE, "ROCK 'N' ROLL BONE"

American Songwriter has exclusively premiered the new lyric video for multi-platinum selling country star Collin Raye's latest single, "Rock 'N' Roll Bone." The song is the second single to be released from SCARS (BFD/Audium Nashville), Raye's first album of all-new material in over a decade.

“’Rock ’N’ Roll Bone’ is an autobiographical song about the musical journey of my brother Scotty and I. I’m very proud of how it turned out,” Raye tells American Songwriter. “I wrote the song, primarily as a tribute to him, while I was pondering our past and childhood and how music was always such a constant element of our lives. We were influenced by many different things and I know it’s that musical diversity of loving classic Country Music, as well as Rock ’N’ Roll, that turned me into the singer/recording artist I am today. I hope folks will enjoy the story in the song. It’s totally true!”

COLLIN RAYE DROPS FIRST NEW ALBUM IN OVER A DECADE, “SCARS”

Fans have been waiting over a decade for multi-platinum selling country music artist Collin Raye to release all-new original material. Today marks the global release of his new album, SCARS (BFD / Audium Nashville).

CMT.com hails Raye as “one of the most consistent stars of the '90s,” best known for his sentimental, emotive ballads (“Love, Me,” “Little Rock”), but he has never been known as a songwriter in the industry. However, SCARS changes that persona as Raye wrote twelve tracks alongside his brother, Scotty Wray, who wrote four.

Wray is the reason Raye was able to recruit Miranda Lambert for the title track, “Scars,” so easily. Not only did Wray write “Scars,” but he has been a member of Lambert’s backing band, since she was 17 years old.

People calls the new tune “melancholic, yet empowering,” while Taste of Country applauds its “powerful harmonies” and CMT.com recognizes its “poignant” and “emotional” complexity.

“Miranda has always loved the song and has performed it herself during some acoustic writers nights," explains Raye. "She has often talked of recording it but wasn't sure she was old enough to 'sell it,' as the subject matter has to do with a person looking back on their life and learning to appreciate and embrace the emotional scars they have developed. I personally think she sang it beautifully and poignantly. However, it landed on me and having her sweet, sincere, unmistakable voice singing harmony with me is truly a blessing and simply anoints the song."

Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill also makes an appearance on the project, lending his voice to the western swing-inspired “Rodeo Girl.” Reuniting the two friends, Gill was featured on Raye’s debut label single in the '90s, “All I Can Be (Is a Sweet Memory).”

SCARS is filled with full-circle moments for Raye from collaborating with Gill to catching up with Lambert, Raye started his musical career with his brother. The two went separate ways musically in the '90s but 30 years later came back together to write and sing with each other again on this record.

Raye's new compilation was produced by David Ferguson (Johnny Cash, John Prine, Charley Pride) and features The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach on electric guitar.

“This is the most eclectic and personal album I’ve ever recorded," continues Raye. "I’ve never had a label say, ‘we only want to release songs that you’ve written, and you can have total freedom in the studio.' I’ve always wanted to do an Americana album and when I think Americana, to me it combines all genres — a little bit folk, bluegrass, country, jazz, R&B, rock-n-roll — it’s a little bit of everything, so I was immediately on board. I’m so proud of this album and excited for it to be out!”

Listen to SiriusXM’s Prime Country this Sunday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. / ET to hear Raye share the intimate details behind making the album.

Johnny Lee opens up about his first studio album in 10 years, You Ain’t Never Been To Texas, and gives fans an in-depth look at his illustrious career. Lee, known for his dynamic stage presence and smash No. 1 crossover hit "Lookin' for Love," chats with Bilbrey about recording new music, touring nearly every weekend and getting his big break when he worked with Mickey Gilley, both on tour and at Gilley’s Club. "Lookin' for Love," the soundtrack from the 1980 hit movie Urban Cowboy, which was largely shot at Gilley's, catapulted Lee to fame. The smash hit became a crossover hit spending three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart while also appearing in the Top 5 on the Billboard Pop chart and Top 10 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart.

Bilbrey’s sit-down with Collin Raye includes captivating stories about his more than 25-year career. Raye chats about the timeless No. 1 hit “Love, Me,” that catapulted him in the 1990s and opens up about building a career on songs with an emotional connection to listeners, like “Little Rock,” which led to more than 100,000 calls to Alcoholics Anonymous from people seeking help for their addictions. The song and video for “I Think About You” exposed the exploitation of women and children, earning Raye the award for “Video of the Year” from the Academy of Country Music in 1997.

During the Dec. 15 episode, Bilbrey sits downs with Country Music Hall of Famer Charley Pride and discusses his early life as one of 11 children, picking cotton in the fields of the Mississippi Delta, as well as his introduction to music, the songs that inspired him, and his first guitar. Bilbrey also chats with Pride about his 50th anniversary as a recording artist who's enjoyed one of the most successful careers in the history of country music and is credited with helping to break color barriers by becoming the first African-American to become a force within the genre. A three-time Grammy Award winner, Pride has garnered no less than 36 chart-topping country hits, including Kiss An Angel Good Morning, a massive No. 1 crossover hit that sold over a million singles and helped Pride land the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year award in 1971 and the Top Male Vocalist awards of 1971 and 1972. A proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, Pride continues to perform concerts worldwide and has toured the United States, Canada, Ireland, The United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand over the last several years.

Bilbrey spends the Dec. 22 episode with two-time CMA and ACM Female Vocalist of the Year Janie Fricke, who’s hit the No. 1 spot on the country charts an astounding 18 times. Bilbrey discusses how Fricke was the First Female Voice on the Moon to reaching Gold and Platinum sales status worldwide. Fricke also chats about how her upbringing in Indiana shaped her career to begin recording numerous jingles for Coca-Cola, Pizza Hut and United Airlines. Janie has released 23 albums and 36 hit singles, and she remains one of the most-beloved entertainers in the country field.

In the Dec. 29 episode, Bilbrey sits down with Mark Chesnutt who continues keeping traditional-minded classic country music alive with Tradition Lives, his first album of all-new material in eight years. Chesnutt also chats about his run up the charts in 1990 with “Too Cold At Home,” and blockbuster 90s favorites such as “Brother Jukebox,” “Let It Rain,” and “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” Along the way, he has earned one Gold album and four Platinum albums.

“Reflections” is filmed at The Hot Seat Studios, located in Hermitage, Tennessee, and is produced by Jeff Moseley and Brian Covert of CJM Productions. Each week, Keith Bilbrey leads one-on-one insightful interviews with country music's legendary artists.

Raye is bringing his exciting and uplifting live show across the U.S. to celebrate a quarter-century of success in the industry.

Further proving his staying-power and impact on the genre, Collin Raye was recently named to the list of Billboard’s ‘Greatest of All-Time Country Artists.’ Considered one of the greatest voices of our time, his aforementioned hit “Love, Me” was also named No. 68 on Billboard’s ‘Greatest of All-Time Country Songs.’

On The Big 25 Tour, the energizing showman performs vivid rockers like “My Kind Of Girl,” “I Can Still Feel You,” “That’s My Story” and “Little Red Rodeo.” Fans can also look forward to hearing his smooth tenor on iconic ballads like “In This Life,” “One Boy, One Girl” and many more.

The song and video for “I Think About You” exposed the exploitation of women and children, earning Raye the award for “Video of the Year” from the Academy of Country Music in 1997.

In addition to impacting lives with his issue-oriented music, Raye has utilized his stardom to advance social causes through his tireless charity work. He has supported organizations like Special Olympics, Parade of Pennies, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and The Tennessee Task Force Against Domestic Violence, as well as founding the Haley Bell Blessed Chair Foundation to honor the memory of his granddaughter.

Fans are anxiously awaiting Raye’s soon-to-be released “Silver Anniversary Album” to commemorate his 25 years in country music, featuring new recordings of his greatest hits. COLLIN RAYE INSPIRES ON WORLD STAGE

Multi-Platinum Selling Country Music Artist and Catholic Convert Headlines
‘Two Nations, One Faith’ Papal Telecast Event

EL PASO, Texas (February 18, 2016) – It was a communion of technology, faith and worship at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso Wednesday, Feb. 17. Before Pope Francis delivered a blessing to a crowd of approximately 45,000 at the Two Nations, One Faith Papal Telecast during his historic Mass across the border in Juarez, Mexico, multi-platinum selling country music artist Collin Raye inspired event-goers on a world stage. As the headliner of the prelude to the anticipated telecast, Raye shared his personal testimony of faith and performed his inspirational music from his album, His Love Remains, the top rated "Praise and Worship" CD on Amazon in 2012.

Raye, who converted to Catholicism at the age of 23, is a 10-time Male Vocalist Of The Year Award nominee and multiple No. 1 country hit-maker with songs like “Love, Me,” and “In This Life,” captivated the melting pot of diverse cultures with his moving performance of songs like "Give Me Jesus," "Here I am Lord," "How Great Thou Art," and his top five single, "Love Remains," which Raye said he always viewed as a hymn when he recorded it in 1995. Raye performed alongside rising singer Andrea Thomas. The two sang "How Beautiful," before Thomas electrified the Sun Bowl with "Ave Maria," sung in the traditional Latin.

“I was so blessed to be able to donate my time and talent for this beautiful event. The Pope’s visit to the border was unforgettable,” he said.

Days prior to the worldwide broadcast, Bishop Mark J. Seitz of The El Paso Catholic Diocese said, “We want to demonstrate [through this event] to The Holy Father that our two nations, and our two sister cities, embody ‘Two Nations, One Faith.’ Pope Francis’ visit to this region will be a historic moment for these communities, and give a voice to the often voiceless, especially children and families who are at the center of the critical issues facing the border.”

A frequent inspirational speaker at Christian and Catholic events, Collin Raye often tells the poignant story of losing his granddaughter Haley to a rare neurological disorder, and the challenges that come with understanding God’s will in traumatic loss. He testifies through the process, God has faithfully led him to see things envisioned for his life now, which he could not see before.

“God has a larger purpose. Rarely is he going to do what you want him to do – and thank God for that,” Raye said.

“If my life has taught me anything that I want to share with people –we all can learn to be still and listen to God when we pray… just say, ‘Lord, just do whatever with me. Utilize whatever of me you can,’” he added.

In 2011, Raye released his first inspirational album, His Love Remains, which quickly shot to No. 1 on Amazon for inspirational and religious music. It is a compilation of unique renditions of classic hymns as well as originals, written by Raye, like “Undefeated,” “I Get What I Need,” and “Love Remains.”

Collin Raye took country music by storm. The mega-hit maker and ACM Award winner began his career in the early 1990’s when he released his debut album All I Can Be, which catapulted his first #1 hit, “Love, Me.” In 1992, the widely-recognized single earned Collin several prestigious nominations across the country scene including Song of the Year as well as Single of the Year. All I Can Be was the first of five of his albums to skyrocket to platinum status. Collin was instantly a household name and a country fan favorite.

Charting 15 No. 1 hits and his 23 Top-10 hits, Collin claimed his stake in country stardom. Throughout his prolific career thus far, Collin has released 11 studio albums including a greatest hits complication, a Christmas record and a live album. Collin has received five nominations for CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and three nominations for ACM Male Vocalist of the Year. In addition, he received a CMA nomination for Best Video, two CMA nominations for Song of the Year and two nominations for single of the Year. In 1997, Raye took home the ACM Award for Music Video of the Year for “I Think about You.”

Three years ago, following the death of his granddaughter Haley, Collin founded a charity in her memory which aims to help families in need of wheelchairs for their children. The Haley Bell Blessed Chair Foundation is dear to his heart and he holds an event annually in her honor.

Recently, Collin has embarked on a new chapter in his life, signing with Brand Entertainment Agency for the launch of his 2013 “That’s My Story” tour.

*EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW* - A Conversation with Collin Raye

Collin Raye performed locally at the Morehead Center for Performing Arts in Morehead City, NC on January 13, 2012. We were blessed to have been given the opportunity to catch a few minutes with him and find out what's been going on with him personally and with his career and the new cd, "His Love Remains". Excuse the poor lighting and audio, the venue was very dark and the acoustics for speaking weren't that great. I think he's such an interesting person and we'd like to thank Collin and his management for allowing us to time to talk with him so we can share it with you.
