TENILLE TOWNES’ “I KEPT THE ROSES” OUT TODAY

Emerging singer, songwriter and performer Tenille Townes’ new song, “I Kept The Roses,” is out today.

The song is the third from Townes debut Jay Joyce (Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, Eric Church) produced album, which is expected later this year on Columbia Nashville. Of the track, Townes says, “This is one of my very favorite songs to sing and I love the message of holding on to the good in the hard things we go through. And being able to smile about the way that it shaped you.”

In addition, Townes was recently featured on WXPN “World CafĂ©”.  Hosted by NPR’s Ann Powers, the interview and performance were recorded live from Nashville’s Sound Stage Studios. Powers praises, “Like her role models Bruce Springsteen and Lori McKenna, Townes brings passion and empathy to songs that capture the complexities of the heartland. With her distinctive, raspy voice and hard-driving guitar style, Townes has the heart of a rocker. She’s part of a generation of young country artists refreshing the genre by pushing its boundaries,” and goes on to proclaim, “Her spark has already gained her fervent followers in Nashville and beyond, where her debut album is one of the most anticipated releases of 2019.”

The session includes a performance of Townes’ debut single, “Somebody’s Daughter,” which is currently Top 30 and climbing at country radio as well as a version of fellow album track, “White Horse.”

Already receiving widespread attention, Townes was recently named iHeartCountry’s “On The Verge” artist as well as Amazon Music’s “2019 Artists To Watch,” CMT’s “Next Women of Country,” iHeart Radio’s “Artists To Watch in 2019” and is included in The Bobby Bones Show’s “Class of 2019,” CMT’s “Listen Up” and the inaugural class of “Opry NextStage.”

Townes is currently on the road supporting Dierks Bentley as part of his extensive “Burning Man Tour.” The Tennessean declares her performance with Bentley at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, “Country music’s new it girl Tenille Townes has one of the most distinct voices in country music.” She’ll join Miranda Lambert on her “Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour” later this year for select dates. See below for complete tour details.

Canadian-born and Nashville-based, Townes first made her public appearance at age nine alongside Shania Twain after being invited to sing on stage at a concert she attended with her parents. In addition to her work as a musician and songwriter, Townes remains committed to charitable causes including her own initiative, Big Hearts For Big Kids, which has raised over $1.5 million to date benefiting a youth shelter in her hometown of Grande Prairie, Alberta. More information can be found at bigheartsforbigkids.com.

And Vevo isn’t the only tastemaker touting Tenpenny’s unique style. Billboard also predicted his  breakout success noting, “Whether it's the desperation in ‘Drunk Me,’ the acidic revenge in ‘Bitches’ or the lack of self-control in ‘Alcohol You Later,’ he approaches a microphone with a biting ferocity.”

COUNTRY GROUP LEVON MAKES GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT TO STANDING OVATION

Levon made their Opry debut Saturday, and pictured here (left to right) are:

New country group Levon, dually signed to Sony Music’s Columbia Nashville and Epic Records, made their Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday evening. Levon is made up of best friends Michael David Hall, Jake Singleton and Ryan Holladay who released their five-song self-titled debut EP last year.

Although the three collectively had never before performed on Country’s most famous stage, Levon band member Ryan Holladay was a child prodigy and made his Opry debut as a five-year-old. Holladay began playing mandolin and singing harmonies as early as age three, and appeared on a “talented kids” episode of Oprah when has 11.  Ryan Holladay’s return to the Grand Ole Opry coincided with his 26th birthday.

Levon’s Ryan Holladay is pictured here at his Grand Ole Opry debut as a five-year-old.  On the left is Mark Holladay, Ryan’s father,  on guitar. Blake Williams on bass is on the right.

Levon’s Saturday Opry appearance showcased the trio’s engaging, soulful brand of country/rock and harmony-driven style. To start off their three-song set, lead vocalist Michael David Hall invited the audience to hold up their phones in flashlight mode to create a flickering starlit backdrop for the song “Barefoot on the Moon.” The band then performed “Till the Wheels Fall Off” and closed with the “Give Up Your Heart” which has received with a standing ovation.

After Levon made their Opry performance debut Saturday, the group posed for photos backstage with management, booking and Opry VIPs here (left to right): CAA’s Blake McDaniel; Levon’s Ryan Holladay and Michael David Hall; Gina Keltner, Director of Opry Talent Scheduling & Logistics; Levon’s Jake Singleton; and Red Light Management’s Chip Dorsch.

Collaborating to create Levon’s genre-transcending sound are Northbrook, Illinois native Michael David Hall (on guitar and lead vocals, with a soaring five-octave range); Sumter, South Carolina’s Jake Singleton (on harmonies, bass, and percussion); and Camden, Tennessee, native Ryan Holladay (on guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonies). A display of their compelling song craft and harmonies, their Levon EP features the following selections and songwriters: “What Oh Why” (Michael David Hall/James Dean Hicks/Jamie Houston), “Runaway Love” (Michael David Hall/Chris Lindsey/Jamie Houston), “Wired” (Michael David Hall/Marc Beeson/Jamie Houston), “Give Up Your Heart” (Jamie Houston/Craig Wiseman) and “Ms. Marianne” (Michael David Hall/James Dean Hicks/Jamie Houston).

A few of the trio’s musical roots are suggested by their name, an homage to the talents of The Band’s Levon Helm, as well as Elton John and his song, “Levon.”  All in their twenties, Levon’s members nonetheless share a collective musical passion for the 1970s “Laurel Canyon Sound” generation whose lyrics and melodies have remained relevant long after their time on the charts.

To date, the band has performed festival dates and opening slots for such artists as Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson, Kelsea Ballerini, Alabama and many others.

The Arlington, TX native broke the news this past Friday night from the stage of the New Faces In Country Music showcase at the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, TN, where Morris performed in front of a packed house of Country Radio representatives from all over the globe, where it was noted that Morris was the first artist in eight years to perform on the New Faces stage after winning a GRAMMY since Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum in 2009.

About “I Could Use A Love Song” The New York Times calls out the new single as being “phenomenal, a meditative plaint with clear passion.” Billboard adds that the song “shows the vulnerability every true country artist strives to cultivate -- both lyrically and melodically.”

Morris continues bringing her high energy live show this week taking her HERO Tour 2017, which is completely SOLD OUT, to the lucky ticket holders in Oxford, OH (March 1), Chicago, IL (March 2), Springfield, IL (March 3) and Louisville, KY (March 4) before making her return to the U.K. for the C2C (Country to Country) Music Festival March 10, 11 and 12.

It was just one year ago when Morris made her first appearance at C2C where she performed to an audience of 20,000 at The O2 Arena when the singer/songwriter was moved to tears when the overwhelming festival goers sang in unison Morris’ then debut single “My Church” back to her, which CBS Sunday Morning highlighted in their introductory profile of Morris seen here.

TYLER FARR FANS DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH “WITHDRAWALS” ANY LONGER

 “WITHDRAWALS” IMPACTING AT RADIO TODAY

VIDEO INSPIRED BY NINE INCH NAILS MUSIC VIDEOS AND ART GALLERIES OF PEOPLE IN GLASS BOXES RELEASED TODAY

Nashville, TN – Columbia Nashville’s Tyler Farr released his brand new music video today for the Eric Welch directed and Max Butler produced “Withdrawals.”

Tyler doesn’t do anything with half effort. Filming the music video for “Withdrawals,” his latest single that is impacting at country radio today was no different. The video features Tyler solely in one room throughout the entire music video and showcases Tyler being trapped in a glass box that as you will eventually see fills up with water and smoke.

“I chose to record ‘Withdrawals’ because of its raw emotion. So when I was trying to come up with a concept that would fit the song perfectly, I wanted the video to reflect the anguish of the lyrics,” Tyler explains about the music video.

About coming up with the concept of the video during the planning stages he says “When we were trying to come up with visuals to help explain the emotion we looked at footage of Trent Reznor performances in NIN music videos, art galleries of people in glass boxes, and then tried our best to put those against the lyrics of the song. What came out in the end is exactly what I had in my head.”

The music video was shot in Nashville, TN.
