DALTON DOVER READIES NEW COLLECTION TAKE ME HOME: COVERS SET FOR FEBRUARY 9

Pre-Save "Take Me Home: Covers" Here

Growing up in Polk County, Georgia, Dalton Dover is no stranger to rural origins. His love of country music was sparked by his grandfather, who introduced him to a wellspring of artists that traversed decades of tradition. With Take Me Home: Covers, set for release February 9 via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, Dover is paying homage to his roots and saluting some of the songs that first enamored him to the genre.

“I grew up in a musical family, where we’d sing at church and then go home and keep singing,” reveals Dover. “My grandpa would put on his favorite records, and I’d listen to the stories. Seeing my own life in those lyrics is what made me fall in love with country music, and I can’t think of a better way to honor that than sharing these songs.”

Although the full track list is yet to be revealed, Dover recently released a rendition of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” earning MusicRow’s “Disc of the Day” and praising, “He remains one of our finest young country voices. Think again, if you think you’ve heard this oldie often enough. Dover’s slowed-down, gentle, caressing, thoughtful reading of the lyric brings a whole new dimension to the song. This man has the goods. A loud, “Amen” from this corner.”

Wide Open Country observes, “By singing one we all know, Dover drew attention to his smooth twang and his innate ability to make us feel the emotions packed in every line,” calling him “one of the more captivating young artists to sign a big-label deal in recent memory.”

After honing his live show with festival dates and supporting acts such as Luke Combs, Tyler Hubbard, Sam Hunt, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore and Chase Rice, Dover is gearing up to embark on his first headlining club tour with his Never Giving Up On That Tour, kicking off Feb. 23 among dates on Larry Fleet’s The Earned It Tour. Tickets are on sale now at DaltonDoverOfficial.com.

Dover is signed with United Talent Agency for worldwide booking representation in all areas, along with Sony Music Publishing Nashville in partnership with Droptine Music Publishing. For more information, visit DaltonDoverOfficial.com or follow along on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook.

DARIUS RUCKER JOINS NBC’S “TODAY” TO CELEBRATE MAJOR MILESTONES & PREVIEW FORTHCOMING ALBUM: CAROLYN’S BOY

“Wagon Wheel” Earns Distinction as Only the Fourth Country Song to Achieve RIAA Diamond Certification as Rucker Celebrates 10 No. 1 Country Singles & 10 Years
as a Grand Ole Opry Member

“At the end of the day, I’m really still just Carolyn’s Boy,” three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker shares following this morning’s interview with “TODAY” anchor Craig Melvin, during which he exclusively revealed the title of a new solo album planned for 2023 along with the meaningful cover image, a portrait of his late mother Carolyn.

“I wanted to name the record Carolyn’s Boy because Mom never got to see any of my success,” he explained. “She died before any of this happened, so it’s just another homage to the greatest woman I’ve ever known.”

When asked why now is the right time to honor her, Rucker was reflective, conceding, “years ago, I wasn’t really sure what my place in Country music was and I was trying to find it. Now I have found it – I know – and I think it’s time to give that record.”

In addition to looking ahead to the forthcoming album, Rucker also marked several major milestones during the conversation, including his 10-year anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry and his recent 10th No. 1 single at Country radio with “Beers And Sunshine.” Melvin was also on hand for the celebration of a milestone only three other artists have ever achieved in Country music, as “Wagon Wheel” earned RIAA Diamond certification as an 11x Platinum hit.

“Coming into Nashville, to expect anything like that wasn’t even in the cards,” Rucker noted when asked about his reaction to achieving that level of success in Country music. “Here we are now – 15, 16, years in – it’s been a fun run.”

Together with producer Frank Rogers, Rucker also shared an exclusive look at the isolated vocal track of “Wagon Wheel” in addition to previewing new music he is working on now for the project planned for release in 2023. Fans can also get a sneak peek at the new Carolyn’s Boy album with Rucker’s recent releases, “Same Beer Different Problem” and “Ol' Church Hymn” (featuring Chapel Hart), available everywhere now.

A 60th Anniversary Tribute Album to The Rolling Stones

Brothers Osborne & The War And Treaty To Perform Track Live For the First Time Together at “The 56th Annual CMA Awards” on Wed, November 9

Forthcoming Star-Studded Album Features Covers from Country’s Biggest Stars: Jimmie Allen, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, Steve Earle, Elle King, Marcus King, Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, Elvie Shane, Koe Wetzel, The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson & Zac Brown Band

Today, the first taste of "Stoned Cold Country" – a forthcoming 60th anniversary tribute album to The Rolling Stones from some of Country’s biggest names – arrives with the release of Brothers Osborne & The War And Treaty’s soulful rendition of “It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (But I Like It).” Listen to the song now and pre-save/pre-add "Stoned Cold
 Country" here.

Intertwining old school Rock ‘N’ Roll guitar parts with powerhouse vocals, the track takes a Country spin on The Rolling Stones’ hit song, which was originally released in July 1974 as the lead single of their October 1974 album It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll. A music video will be released at a later date.

Brothers Osborne & The War And Treaty will hit the stage live at The 56th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 9 (8/7c on ABC) for a not-to-be-missed debut broadcast performance of the collaboration. Brothers Osborne are the reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year and nominated again in that category this year, while the performance of “It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (But I Like It)” will mark The War And Treaty’s first time on the show.

“We couldn’t be more honored to take part in such a unique tribute to, not only one of music’s most influential trailblazers, but one of our favorite bands of all time,” shared Brothers Osborne. “And to top it off, we get to enjoy the spoils with two of our favorite people and fellow Marylanders, The War And Treaty. We adore them both.”

"It is such an honor to be part of a tribute to one of our favorite bands of all time and to share this moment with Brothers Osborne makes it that much more special," said Michael Trotter Jr. of The War And Treaty. "We cannot wait to share the stage with them next week at the CMA Awards, and we are looking forward to hearing what fans think of our take on the song.”

"Stoned Cold Country" will be released in 2023 on BMG, filled to the brim with reimagined versions of the legendary rock band’s catalogue. Throughout the record, which was produced by Robert Deaton, the participating artists – Jimmie Allen, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, Steve Earle, Elle King, Marcus King, Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, Elvie Shane, Koe Wetzel, The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson & Zac Brown Band – all inject their own trademark style into the revered music of The Stones across Stoned Cold Country, creating a powerful homage to one of the most enduring, trailblazing and influential bands in the world.

"This album is Country Music's thank you to The Rolling Stones for 60 years of inspiration and providing the soundtrack of our lives. While recording the record, I was reminded that this is a showcase and spotlight on the best we have to offer as a genre,” Deaton says of the project. “From our artists to all of the musicians that played on the record, we boldly state that Country Music is second to none when it comes to artists of integrity and creativity.”

PORTER HOWELL OF LITTLE TEXAS ANNOUNCES DEBUT SINGER-SONGWRITER ALBUM, "THIS TOWN WAS", AVAILABLE NOV. 11

'An ode to the ever-changing ways of Nashville … [Howell’s] weathered voice [is] a perfect foil for the song’s nostalgic lyrics.'
-Billboard

'Sung in a yearning voice of nostalgia and regret, this is essential listening.'
- MusicRow

Porter Howell, frontman, lead guitarist, principal songwriter and a founding member of multi-Grammy-nominated ’90s country vocal band, Little Texas, is announcing the release of his debut side project as a singer-songwriter, This Town Was, available Nov. 11. Pre-order is available now via ONErpm HERE. Howell will perform at an album release party at 6pm CT Tuesday, Nov. 15 at The Local in Nashville.

After 30 years in the business, it took a pandemic and the ensuing forced downtime from touring to compel Howell to compile this 10-track album of mostly self-penned songs. The title track and accompanying music video were released in April and garnered favorable reviews from Billboard and MusicRow.

“This album was recorded in my basement studio as honestly as possible,” Howell says. “No production tricks necessary—guitars, steel guitar, bass, drums and keys were all tracked with players in the room, the old school way.”

So maybe it’s no surprise that one of the more (humorously) self-reflective album tracks is fittingly titled “Old School”: So, say that I’m old school/Nothin’ but an old fool/That I’m behind the times, afraid to change/Cause in all honesty/I came about it honestly/A pretty cool old fool made me this way.”

In contrast, an ode to that “old fool,” the mesmeric “I Thought About You Today,” will bring more than a tear to your eye as Howell sings about his father: “I thought about you today/It’s funny how that happens/Think of some old thing we’d say/And I swear I hear you laughing/And I fight back a tear cause life without you here/Is still a little strange.” “I only wish I’d finished this project before he passed away, as I believe it would have been his favorite,” Howell says wistfully, noting that the album reflects his dad’s influence on his musical tastes.

Similarly nostalgic, anyone who knows Nashville’s history will be drawn to the authenticity of Howell’s heartfelt lyrics on the title track as he soulfully sings about how the town he grew up in professionally has changed so much. “This Town was/Two one-way streets where dreams could find a way to fly…If you look real close, you can almost see a vague outline…It’s where lonely voices dared to bare their hearts and souls/And if you listen close enough, you’ll hear the ghosts ….”

Other songs on the album metaphorically reflect the unpredictability of life (“Church of the Uncertain” and “Lucky to Be Alive”) and love (“Kinda Gone by Then,” “The Way You Were Back Then,” “Who Might Disagree”).

“It’s almost strange to feel this vulnerable by putting something out in the world that is so personal. I just hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.”

"This Town Was" Track List:

1. “This Town Was” (Porter Howell)

2. “Old School” (Porter Howell)

3. “Church of Uncertain” (Porter Howell)

4. “Lucky to Be Alive” (Porter Howell)

5. “I Thought About You Today” (Porter Howell)

6. “The Way You Were Back Then” (Jay Knowles, Porter Howell, Adam Wright)

7. “My Baby” (Porter Howell)

8. “Kind of Gone by Then” (Porter Howell)

9. “Who Might Disagree” (Porter Howell)

10. “What It’s All About” (Lisa Brokop, Porter Howell, Paul Jefferson)

AMERICAN IDOL’S HUNTERGIRL READIES LABEL DEBUT SONG “HOMETOWN OUT OF ME” FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21

“It’s only been five months since HunterGirl ended her journey on American Idol, where she finished in second place, but she’s already making big moves in her Country music career” (Hollywood Life), as 19 Recordings/BMG today announces the signing of the powerhouse singer-songwriter.

Catapulted to fame on this year’s American Idol, the “Country singer with a bright future” (Hollywood Life) delivered star-making performances that Taste of Country called “impressive,” “shining,” “chill-worthy,” and “glowing,” winning her the hearts of millions across the country and enthusiastic praise from Idol judge and Country superstar Luke Bryan, who applauded her as the “new age Miranda Lambert” and his “favorite female Country voice.”

Up next – the budding Country star will release her first new music since wrapping the show with her label debut track – “Hometown Out Of Me” – on Friday, October 21. Written by HunterGirl with Laura Veltz and producer Jimmy Robbins, the deeply personal song is a thank-you letter to her hometown of Winchester, Tennessee. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.

Currently hustling out on the road, most recently with Justin Moore and Tracey Lawrence, HunterGirl will also kick-off her co-headlining tour with this year’s American Idol winner Noah Thompson on Thursday, October 27 in Columbus, Ohio.

“Despite missing out on the win, her crooning vocals and intimate original song, ‘Red Bird,’ has made her one to watch in the Country scene (American Songwriter). Skyrocketing to No. 1 on iTunes All-Genre and Country charts, “the budding Country star” (Taste of Country) performed her heartfelt and deeply personal original track “Red Bird” on Live with Kelly & Ryan and has appeared on Good Morning America.

Now, with a just-inked record deal and the release of her label debut song “Hometown Out Of Me,” driven by her distinct and genuine vocals, unwavering tenacity and heart of gold, HunterGirl is “settling in for what will be much longer than fifteen minutes of fame.” (Chattanooga City Lifestyle Magazine).

JUST IN TIME FOR FATHER'S DAY: MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY AND SON RYAN MURPHEY RELEASE "ROAD BEYOND THE VIEW"

In 1973, famed singer / songwriter Michael Martin Murphey invited his 3-year-old son, Ryan to the stage with he and his friend, Willie Nelson, at the Abbot Reunion in Austin. Three years later when Ryan was 6, he joined his dad for a taping of Austin City Limits. He was in the studio at Caribou Ranch in Colorado for the landmark recording of Blue Sky Night Thunder (which yielded top pop hits ”Wildfire” and “Carolina In The Pines”). By the time Ryan was 17, he was performing regularly with Michael and the two even shared a top 10 radio hit, “Talking To The Wrong Man.” Ryan went on to be his father’s lead guitarist of choice, and even produced the Grammy nominated Buckaroo Bluegrass and Michael’s subsequent albums.

But the newest release, Road Beyond The View, slated for release on June 10, 2022, is their first truly collaborative record.

“For the first time in my career, I decided to make an album that is a full collaboration with another artist – my son Ryan Murphey,” says Michael. “We wrote, arranged, produced and performed all of the songs together. The result is something different than either of us have done before, yet it contains all the things with which we’ve experimented.”

Michael’s first album, Geronimo's Cadillac was given a rave review in Rolling Stone for his eclectic songwriting style: 50 years later he's still one the most eclectic singer-songwriters out there. Michael Martin Murphey has never lost his passion for exploring and pushing the boundaries. In the 70s, when pioneering the Texas Music Scene centered in Austin with friends Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffett, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Willie Nelson, he topped the pop charts with hits like “Geronimo’s Cadillac,” “Wildfire” and “Carolina In The Pines.”

Michael followed with a string of Country hits including “Long Line of Love,” “What’s Forever For” and “Still Taking Chances,” then turned his attention to American Cowboy Music with the release of Cowboy Songs, and became the number-one selling artist of Cowboy Music since Marty Robbins. He then focused on the world of bluegrass, again topping the charts and earning a Grammy nomination to boot. Along the way, Michael played music with symphonies, cutting-edge Jazz ensembles, Country, Folk and Bluegrass greats - and even performed in churches like Holy Angels in Kansas, where he made a live album with an expert pipe-organist.

Michael's long-time production and songwriting partnership with Ryan has been enhanced by Ryan's position as the head teacher of the Guitar program, AP Literature and Composition at the prestigious Nashville School of the Arts. Together, the father and son collaboration finds them returning to New Mexican and Southwestern dreamscapes they have known and lived, lyric and vocals set against complex acoustic and electric guitar work.

“It's country, it’s jazz, it’s pop, classical and folk,” Michael says. “It’s a little bit of all of those things. When I was in high school, I was a big jazz fan, but I was also a Bluegrass fan. I was a classical music aficionado, but also a hillbilly and cowboy music fanatic. I drove my parents crazy with folk and flamenco, Charles Ives and Johnny Cash! I still love genre-jumping!"

"I have always been inspired by the pastiche approach that my dad takes to songwriting,” Ryan adds. “I have never seen boundaries in music because of this influence. It is truly an Americana philosophy in the sense that freedom of expression is undeniably what this melting pot is all about. It is also Western in that there is always a new frontier to explore, and that wide open way of thinking makes it into our lyrical concepts. The Southwest, especially for me, is an example of where jazz, country, blues, pop, and latin music come together and are my favorite examples of how our American quilt lives on.”

In a sense, Road Beyond The View represents a full circle turn for the Murpheys. “When he was 6, I taught Ryan to play guitar,” laughs Michael. “I decided it was time for me to start taking more guitar lessons. So I went online with Ryan by way of Zoom and FaceTime and he painstakingly gave me Classical and Jazz guitar lessons. That led to the making of the Road Beyond the View album together."

The Murpheys, who consider New Mexico a second home, found inspiration in the Abstract Impressionism mixed with Realism, Abstract Impressionism, Imagist and Surrealism from Santa Fe. Taos and Southwestern artists. The cover features a painting from noted Taos artist Ed Sandoval, and the Murpheys were inspired by the work of New Mexico icon Georgia O’Keefe.

The title track, in particular, has many references to O’Keefe’s work. “I’ve had a lifelong obsession with New Mexico’s artists,” says Michael. “My own songwriting style is actually an experimental mixture of Abstract Expressionism, Surrealism and Imagist Poetry. My heroes in poetry are William Carlos Williams, James Joyce, Amy Lowell and Ezra Pound. My heroes in painting are Georgia O'Keefe, Salvador Dali, Ed Sandoval, Nicholai Fechin and William C. Matthews. Matthews has done several of my album covers."

“Road Beyond The View,” the title track, contains the central idea of the collection, Michael explains. “As human beings we are all on an risky, adventurous journey. No matter how much we plan, we encounter the unexpected along the way. The way we deal with that is the measure of our lives, the thrill of living is being open to what is around the bend that may be surprising – even shocking.

“What is encountered is sometimes inscrutable,” he continues.“Georgia O’Keefe’s arresting images in her paintings present an ineffable beauty beyond all understanding- making her a renegade. Design lives on in the skeleton where life once hung on the bones. The bones themselves have a kind of eternal life. The story told is multi-faceted, many-sided and open to interpretation."

Finally, says Michael, "I’m going to keep making music and experimenting with sounds and lyrics based on the unexpected; I have no idea where all of this will lead. Every day, I pray ‘God, lead me, but surprise me!’ This Road Beyond the View album is meant to be a theme song for a philosophy of living.”

Blue Highway, set for release on Friday, June 24 via BFD / Audium Nashville, features twelve archival tunes from 1992 — but only recently were the tunes mixed and mastered with the addition of bass, drums, electric guitar and mandolin.

The upcoming compilation features the vocals of all three original members of BlackHawk: Henry Paul, Dave Robbins and the late Van Stephenson, who died of cancer in 2001. All twelve album cuts were written by the trio.

“Looking back on BlackHawk’s beginnings, I’m always reminded of the innocence and personal character of our songwriting, and both the fragile beauty and strength of our voices,” says Paul. “For Van and Dave and I, it was magic watching this exciting chapter in our life’s musical journey unfold. This album once again brings the three of us together and sheds light on the dawn of our creation in those early days.”

“This collection of songs brings home the fact that it wasn’t by chance that Van and Henry and I got to have this dance with you,” adds Robbins.

Paul and Robbins are dedicating the upcoming release to the memory of their departed bandmate. Before Stephenson's passing, the two surviving members made a pact with him to keep BlackHawk alive for years to come.

“Without Van, BlackHawk would have never been, and his uniquely beautiful talent was at the heart of all we did,” explains Paul. “Dave and I continue to honor our last promise made to him by keeping BlackHawk together and doing what we can do help find a cure for cancer.”

In 2006, BlackHawk established the Van Stephenson Cancer Research Fund. Since its inception, the non-profit has has generated over $400,000 for the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. To donate, visit blackhawklive.com/vans-charity.

TEXAS NATIVE AND VETERAN COUNTRY MUSIC ENTERTAINER GEORGE DEARBORNE SET TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE, “OLD BROWN BOTTLE”

#NEWSINGLE #COMINGSOON

Original Tune, Poised To Become Country Classic,
Available Via All Digital And Streaming Outlets--Friday, September 14, 2020

Country music entertainer and Texas native, George Dearborne (REG Records) is set to release his first Nashville recording, “Old Brown Bottle,”* in mid-September. Written by Jimmy Ritchey (George Strait/Mark Chesnutt/Jake Owen), Donald Poythress (Big Loud Shirt, Nashville) and GMA Dove Award Winner Tony Wood, and produced by Ritchey (Jake Owen/ Mark Chesnutt/Clay Walker), the track will be available Friday, September 14, 2020 via all major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/iTunes/Pandora/ Spotify/Tidal). The tune is the title track and the early introduction to the Texan’s forthcoming album, OLD BROWN BOTTLE.

Tickling ivories do-si-do with rockin’ electric guitars to disguise the heartbreak storyline in this good-timin’, used-up, drank-up, party’s over, so long, goodbye tune poised to become a country classic and honky-tonk favorite.

YEAH I FEEL LIKE AN OLD BROWN BOTTLE
ROLLIN’ ‘ROUND IN THE BACK OF YOUR TRUCK
IT WAS REAL FUN FOR A WHILE
AND GIRL YOU REALLY DRANK IT UP
THEN NEXT THING I KNEW YOU TOSSED ME OUT THE WINDOW
ONCE YOU HAD ENOUGH
AND I FEEL LIKE AN OLD BROWN BOTTLE
ROLLIN’ ROUND IN THE BACK OF YOUR TRUCK

“’Old Brown Bottle’ is a straight-up break-up song; rather than sappy, the upbeat melody gives the tune a light-hearted twist,” said Dearborne. “The Nashville recording experience is one for the memory books; I’m in awe of the professionalism and mutual respect shared among the fellow musicians and my producer, Jimmy Ritchey.”

Additionally, Combs’ current 2x Platinum single, “Beautiful Crazy,” spent seven-straight weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart—tying the second longest run atop the chart since its launch in 1990. “Beautiful Crazy” is Combs’ fastest rising single to date (15 weeks) and makes Combs the first artist ever to send his first five singles to the top of Billboard ’s Country Airplay chart. “Beautiful Crazy” is also the first country single shipped to radio already platinum-certified since Taylor Swift’s “Red” in 2013 and has more than 360 million on-demand streams. In celebration of these milestones, Combs recently performed an acoustic version of the song during the 2019 ACM Awards live broadcast. Watch the performance here. Of the performance, Billboard praises, “…a stirring version of the hit single…the arrangement breathed a second life into a song that many would have stated was perfect as is beforehand,” while Rolling Ston e declares, “…Combs showed why he’s one of the genre’s most promising young voices.”

Continuing his monumental year, Combs sold out venues in 25 of the 29 cities on his newly confirmed “Beer Never Broke My Heart” fall tour in the first weekend tickets were on-sale. He broke records at Bozeman’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, Bloomington’s Grossinger Motors Arena and Bossier City’s CenturyLink Center for the fastest sell out times in venue history. Additional sold-out shows include Kansas City’s Spring Center, Portland’s Moda Center, Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center, Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena, Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena among several others. Special guests throughout the tour include Morgan Wallen, The Cadillac Three and Jameson Rodgers. See below for complete tour details.

Since the release of his double Platinum certified debut album, This One’s For You, on June 2, 2017, the album spent a total of 32 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart—the longest reign for a solo male artist in over 25 years. The album also spent 16 weeks at No. 1 in 2018—making it the highest selling country album last year with 1.1 million equivalent album units sold and the only country album to surpass 1 million album units. It’s also the most-streamed country album of 2019 so far. Additionally, Combs was named New Male Artist of the Year at the 2019 ACM Awards, Country Artist of the Year at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, New Artist of the Year at the 52nd Annual CMA Awards, was nominated for Best New Artist at the 61st GRAMMY Awards and was the recipient of a CMA Triple Play Award for writing three No. 1 songs in a 12 month period.

SYLVIA'S "SECOND BLOOM - THE HITS RE-IMAGINED" SET FOR JUNE 8 RELEASE #NOBODY WANTS TO MISS THIS ... SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

'80s Icon Blossoms With New Interpretations Of "Drifter," "Nobody," "Cry Just A Little Bit"
& More

Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist Of the Year, Grammy nominee and multi-million selling '80s icon Sylvia is set to release her newest CD, SECOND BLOOM - The Hits Re-Imagined, on Red Pony Records June 8. The album is available for pre-order now from iTunes and CD Baby.  Fans who order digitally will receive "Like Nothing Ever Happened" as an instant gratification track. Those who prefer a disc, will have their album autographed by Sylvia and receive an email containing instructions on how to obtain their "grat track" download. The project's first single, a reprise of Sylvia's signature Country/Pop smash, "Nobody," has just been released to radio and programmers can download the track HERE.

SECOND BLOOM includes 10 all-new interpretations of her # 1 / Top 10 hits from the RCA years (1979 to 1987). The Indiana-born songstress became known for her unique "Prairie Music" sound, with hits like "Drifter" and "Tumbleweed," and crossed over to the Pop market with the unforgettable "Nobody," which sold an astounding two million copies, spent 52 weeks on the Billboard charts, and was named BMI's Song of the Year. Sylvia's new version of "Sweet Yesterday" brings her life experience to bare with an even more poignant and meditative take on the song. "Cry Just A Little Bit" is updated with strings and drums with an infectious shuffle feel, while "Fallin' In Love" takes a decidedly Bluegrass spin that swings joyfully along as Sylvia's voice and Andy Leftwich's fiddle take turns in the spotlight. The disc closes with "You Can't Go Back Home," a song that was not previously released as a single, but serves as an allegory for Sylvia's approach to recording SECOND BLOOM. The song metaphorically reflects her intention to not re-record the songs note-for-note but to give them a fresh rendering. Sylvia's interpretation of the song is subtle, reflective, and memorable. This is Sylvia at her most powerful.

The synthesizer-laden, Country/Pop sound of the past is replaced throughout with a cleaner, more streamlined and organic approach. Tin whistles and strings are paired, fiddle and classical guitar meet - and in each joining they form a magical backdrop for Sylvia's clear and soulful vocals. While much of her formative music is defined by a certain era and genre, the songs themselves are bound only by the artist's imagination. And Sylvia has imagination to spare. She and longtime collaborator John Mock modernized instrumentation and voicing and, in some cases, departed dramatically from the original production values. Consistent, however, are the signature licks that fans will recognize and Sylvia's genuine reverence for these tunes that form her artistic lineage.

"My desire was to bring my music from the '80s into alignment with the music I'm creating today," she notes.  "I wanted to breathe new life into the songs as if I was recording them for the first time while still honoring their musical identity. I believe the spirit of the music is just as relevant today as it was when these songs first bloomed."

On SECOND BLOOM, Sylvia bridges the gap, bringing these hits to life in a new way while paying homage to the music that made her a star. This is an album that is by turns introspective and carefree, evocative and joyful. Longtime fans will remember why they fell in love with Sylvia's music, while new admirers will be captivated by the purity of her voice and musical convictions.

CRAIG CAMPBELL TO UNLEASH HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SEE YOU TRY EP ON JUNE 8

FIRST NEW COLLECTION IN FIVE YEARS INCLUDES HOT-BLOODED SINGLE,
“SEE YOU TRY”

SEVEN-TRACK SET ALSO FEATURES TWO VERSIONS OF FAITHFUL
“OUTSKIRTS OF HEAVEN”

Purchase/stream “See You Try” Here

The wait is over for Red Bow Records hitmaker CRAIG CAMPBELL and his legion of Country fans. Five years after the Georgia native last released a new collection of tunes, his SEE YOU TRY EP arrives on June 8.

Featuring seven tracks, which once again show off the smooth, expressive vocals and easy charisma that earn Campbell comparisons to icons like Alan Jackson, SEE YOU TRY finds the singer-songwriter maintaining his reputation for country authenticity – but also looking ahead to the future.

“For the past few years, I’ve created and found some of the best music of my career,” shared Campbell. “I’m beyond excited to release this EP and show the Country music world what I’ve been up to. I’m very proud of the music and can’t wait for everyone to finally hear these songs!”

Leading the project is the flirtatious new single “See You Try,” a hot-blooded barstool anthem that Rolling Stone calls “a big, bold song that shoots for the nosebleed seats of arenas everywhere.” The track is currently rising through the Country charts and has gathered nearly 1 million Spotify streams.

Meanwhile, SEE YOU TRY also includes two versions of Campbell’s “Outskirts of Heaven,” his most sincere and impactful single to date. Open hearted and full of faithful conviction, the uplifting critic’s hit is presented in both electric and acoustic settings.

Other standout moments on the highly-anticipated EP include the regretful romance of “Me Missing You,” the party-ready Tejano twang of “Mas Tequila,” the lusty rock ballad “Upstairs” and the slinky strut of “Kids in the South,” all written by top flight tunesmiths like Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, Jim Beavers, Ben Hayslip and Campbell himself.

Here’s the complete track list for SEE YOU TRY:

1. “See You Try” (James McNair, Tyler Hubbard, Bart Butler, Jordan Schmidt)
2. “Me Missing You” (Barry Dean, Jonathan Singleton, Dave Barnes)
3. “Outskirts of Heaven” (Craig Campbell, Dave Turnbull)
4. “Mas Tequila” (Craig Campbell, Jim Beavers, Chris DuBois)
5. “Upstairs” (Kelly Archer, Justin Weaver, Al Anderson)
6. “Kids in the South” (Chase McGill, Ben Hayslip)
7. “Outskirts of Heaven (Acoustic)” (Craig Campbell, Dave Turnbull)

In related news, Campbell will host his 6th Annual Craig Campbell Celebrity Cornhole Challenge on June 5th at Nashville’s City Winery. As a national spokesperson for Fight CRC – a charity organization which supports research, education and awareness for colorectal cancer – Campbell raised over $200,000 for the cause with last year’s event, and hopes to top that mark as fans donate for the chance to battle another star-studded lineup in 2018.

A regular guest on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage, exceptional vocalist and critically acclaimed live performer, Campbell is on the verge of breaking out to superstardom after nearly a decade of success on the Country radio airplay charts and beyond.

Songs like “Family Man,” “Fish” and “Outta My Head” struck a chord after the singer-songwriter was discovered in Nashville’s famous honky-tonk, The Stage. Since then, “Keep Them Kisses Comin’” has cracked Country radio’s Top 10 and “Outskirts of Heaven” found tastemakers praising Campbell’s heartfelt sincerity, paving the way for the next chapter of his story.

Campbell is coming off a standout year which included Luke Bryan’s 2017 HUNTIN’, FISHIN’ AND LOVIN’ EVERY DAY Tour, and will headline select dates across North America throughout the summer of 2018.

TEXAS COUNTRY CHART-TOPPER ZANE WILLIAMS IS ‘BRINGIN’ COUNTRY BACK’ OCTOBER 21

KICKS OFF “BRINGIN’ COUNTRY BACK” TOUR AT FT. WORTH’S LEGENDARY BILLY BOB’S ON OCTOBER 20

“In his rear view mirror, Williams’ eyes are fixed on an arrow-straight two-lane that tracks back to Texas singer-songwriters like Steve Earle, Jerry Jeff and Guy Clark. This is country music for today with all the good elements from the past kept firmly intact.” -MAVERICK MAGAZINE

Texas country-chart topper Zane Williams is set to release his sixth studio album, ‘Bringin’ Country Back’ on October 21 via his newly created independent label Texas Like That Records. Drawing from a dynamic mix of influences from the 70s, 80s and 90s (George Strait, Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks), this album pays homage to traditional country music and its loyal fan base. The result is a turning point in Zane’s catalog – extraordinary songwriting seamlessly integrates through the twang of the fiddle and the whine of steel guitar showcasing growth, confidence and earnest work from an artist just hitting his stride.

Combining his gritty passion and artistic drive, ‘Bringin’ Country Back’ marks the first time Zane has taken the reins as producer. Recorded in Denton, TX, the album features eleven superbly crafted, self-penned tracks. “Musically, I was able to achieve my vision better than I have in the past,” explains Williams. “This is authentic, independent, country music for adults. It’s poetry for the working man.”

Having made his mission statement clear with the buoyant title track and album opener, Zane wastes no time in getting down to business. His Texas roots are on full display in the rollicking “Honkytonk Situation”, in which he offers the listener some road-tested dancehall advice. “Slow Roller” exudes the easy-going charm of a young Strait, and “Hello World” could easily have been sung by Don Williams thirty years ago. The clever “Church of Country Music” is chock full of the double-entendres for which country music used to be famous. Meanwhile “That’s Just Me” lays out a straight-talking, bridge-building response to the current election year climate.

“I Don’t Have the Heart”, perhaps the most modern-sounding tune, is likely to fill the dance floors in Texas and beyond, while “You Beat All I’ve Ever Seen” evokes a bygone era when grown men sang unabashedly sensual songs to experienced lovers. Zane’s alternately soaring and intimate vocals drive home the elegantly heartbroken “Goodbye Love”. The album ends with “Willie’s Road”, a raucous ode to Willie Nelson, whose life story shares some striking parallels with Zane’s own.

Looking ahead, Zane will tour extensively throughout Texas and beyond this fall including coveted headlining gigs at Ft. Worth’s legendary Billy Bob’s on October 20 and Gruene Hall in New Braunfels on October 21.

CHARLIE DANIELS' NEW ALBUM "NIGHT HAWK" TAKES FLIGHT ON AUGUST 26

2016 Inductee to The Country Music Hall of Fame Shows No Signs of Slowing Down Amidst Induction, Museum Exhibit and 80th Birthday Celebrations

Charlie Daniels has never fit into any certain label, purposely creating a sound and blend of music all his own. The new album, Night Hawk, stays true to that tradition with Daniels putting a unique spin on cowboy songs both well known and uncovered from through the years. The album will be available on August 26 at www.CharlieDaniels.com, FYE, and wherever music is sold.

Night Hawk will be available for presale on August 15 here where the first 100 autographed copies sold will also be hand numbered by Charlie Daniels himself.

"Most of our concepts about cowboys, and all things western, are mostly derived from movies and TV. Well, the truth of the matter is, the real cowboys are not glow in the dark characters who go around fighting rustlers and cleaning out saloons with their fists. The actual working cowboy is a hard working, different breed who spend endless hours in the saddle and as Louis L’Amour said, they ‘ride for the brand.’ Night Hawk is a tribute to the working cowboy and his way of life,” said Charlie Daniels.

Night Hawk is a reflection of stories from the trail told by cowboys around the campfire through the years. Many of the songs, introduced in an acoustic style, are obscure songs with deep meaningful lyrics, while some are classics presented in a new way.

NIGHT HAWK TRACK LISTING:

Big Balls In Cowtown
Billy The Kid
Night Hawk
Stay All Night (Stay A Little Longer)
Goodnight Loving Trail
(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend
Running With The Crowd
Old Chisholm Trail
Can’t Beat The Damned Ole Machine
Yippie Ki Yea

The album comes in the midst of one of the most important years of Charlie Daniels’ career. In early 2016 it was announced that he would become the newest inductee to the Country Music Hall of Fame, along with Randy Travis and Fred Foster. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum curtailed that with the announcement of an exhibit in his honor, called Million Mile Reflections, set to open September 23. Adding to the fun, Kid Rock, Chris Stapleton, Travis Tritt, Larry the Cable Guy and more will join Charlie in celebration at his 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam on November 30 at Bridgestone Arena. ALLIGATOR RECORDS SET TO RELEASE MEET ME IN BLUESLAND BY THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS WITH JOHNNIE JOHNSON ON JUNE 2

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 1, 2015) – Alligator Records has set a June 2 street date for Meet Me In Bluesland, a previously unreleased album by Grammy-winning Southern blues-rockers The Kentucky Headhunters with pianist Johnnie Johnson, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. The performances found Johnson -- the man Rolling Stone called “the greatest sideman in rock and roll” for his groundbreaking piano work with Chuck Berry -- playing some of the deepest and most rocking blues piano of his legendary career. With The Kentucky Headhunters at their down-home best, the record is a country-fried, blues-infused party from start to finish.

On January 25, 2003, Johnson joined his hosts, The Rolling Stones, for a rousing rendition of Honky Tonk Women at Houston, Texas’ Reliant Stadium. After hanging out all night with Keith Richards, Johnson got on a plane and flew to Kentucky. There he reunited with his good friends, brothers Richard and Fred Young, Greg Martin, Doug Phelps and Anthony Kenney, known worldwide as The Kentucky Headhunters. The plan was to have Johnnie lay down some piano for the band’s upcoming release, Soul. But the vibe was too strong and the music too good, so the tape just kept rolling. With songs and arrangements furiously being created on the spot and everything recorded live as it happened over the course of three days, a magical musical event was underway. Because the whole session was spontaneous, there were no immediate plans to release an album. After Johnnie’s death in 2005, the tapes, while never forgotten, remained unissued.

With the release of Meet Me In Bluesland, these timeless and rollicking performances are available for the first time. The album grooves from the raunchy rock of Stumblin’ to the slide-fueled Superman Blues to the roof-raising version of Little Queenie to the rocking Party In Heaven to the salacious She’s Got To Have It (the last vocal Johnson ever recorded).

“The minute Johnnie sat down with us, the music was a kind of ecstasy,” says guitarist/vocalist Richard Young. “Johnnie made us play like real men,” adds guitarist/vocalist Greg Martin. “Playing with him, the groove got bigger and much more grown up.” Drummer Fred Young explains, “We all admired Johnnie from the start. The first time we played with him was the first time I ever felt like we were doing it right. The music we made on Meet Me In Bluesland is as good as it gets.”

The relationship between Johnson and The Kentucky Headhunters dated back to 1992. Headed to New York for a Grammy Awards party, Greg picked up the new Johnnie Johnson CD, Johnnie B. Bad, for the ride. The band listened to nothing else all the way to New York. Having no idea he’d be at the party, they were shocked to see Johnnie Johnson sitting alone at a table. After some quick introductions, the musicians talked for hours, becoming fast friends. In 1993 they released their first collaboration, That’ll Work, on Nonesuch. They took the show on the road, playing gigs from the West Coast to New England, from Chicago’s Buddy Guy’s Legends to New York City’s Lone Star CafĂ©. They performed at The Jamboree In The Hills in Belmont County, Ohio, where Johnson, with the Headhunters triumphantly jamming behind him, played to over 30,000 fans.

From their very first meeting, Johnson and The Kentucky Headhunters stayed close, getting together whenever possible. In 2003, when the band asked Johnson to record with them again, he couldn’t wait to get back to Kentucky and make music with his friends. “Johnnie’s music was spontaneous, organic, magic energy,” says Greg. “During the recordings, everything was off-the-cuff and easy; a higher power just took over. This album is special, and we’re very happy in 2015 that it’s coming to fruition.” Adds Fred, “Johnnie gave us the gift of letting us know what it was like to do something great.”
