DAN + SHAY BRING “FROM THE GROUND UP” TO LIFE ON ABC'S DANCING WITH THE STARS’ LIVE FINALE

www.danandshay.com

In March when chart-topping duo Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) debuted their new single, “From The Ground Up” on ABC’s Good Morning America, Ginger Zee had just announced her addition to the season's cast. The duo joked with talent off screen about how their single lent itself for Dancing With The Stars. Fast-forward two months and Dan + Shay are performing the single on the series' season finale tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 24. The song, a heartfelt ode to long-lasting marriages, is the debut single from their upcoming Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville album Obsessed, which is available for pre-order on iTunes now and released everywhere June 3.

The breakout duo will join Darius Rucker on his Good for a Good Time Tour the same day as the album is released.

"The reaction to the pre-ordered tracks from Obsessed--'From The Ground Up' to 'Already Ready'--has been incredible, and we cannot wait to get the full album out to all our fans," shares Smyers. "Performing the single 'From The Ground Up,' on Dancing With The Stars and having the song come to life with this type of production and choreography is exciting."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country music singer/songwriter Kellie Pickler released her new album, The Woman I Am, on Monday, and has been making the media rounds with appearances and performances on several television shows this week. The Woman I Am was produced by Luke Wooten and Frank Liddell and features her current single “Little Bit Gypsy.” This is her first album for Black River Entertainment.

On Monday, Nov. 11, the reigning Mirror Ball champion appeared live on ABC Television’s “Dancing with the Stars” to cheer on this season’s contestants. During her chat with host Tom Bergeron, it was announced that Pickler will return to “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday, Nov. 25 to perform during the show’s Finale Week. Click HERE to view the appearance.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Pickler appeared on the syndicated “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Watch the interview HERE and performance HERE. Later that night, she appeared on “Late Night with Craig Ferguson.” Watch that interview HERE and performance HERE.

The Woman I Am has already received praise from music critics, including:

“Continuing to mature into a top-class country singer, [Pickler]…has grown from a competent interpreter of others' songs into an artist with her own vision and style. As a songwriter and vocalist, she's held onto the charm of her back-country personality while growing into a confident stylist …Add Pickler's name to the list of women making outstanding albums in a year where men dominate country radio and the media.”
 – Michael McCall, Associated Press

“Too bad Pickler's best known for her personality, because her albums are as much fun as hearing her talk. (Three stars)”
– Brian Mansfield, USA Today

"On a dozen new tracks, that sound spans the sonic country landscape between the lead-off single, the pining ballad 'Someone Somewhere Tonight,' and its breezy, country-rock follow-up, 'Little Bit Gypsy.' The guitar-heavy, shuffling song, which Pickler says is the record's poppiest moment, sounds like her take on Tom Petty covering Elvis Costello's 'You Belong To Me."
– Adam Gold, Rolling Stone

“Pickler's growth is impressive, but she is still at her most charming when she lets that sassiness out. With The Woman I Am, Pickler shows how the next phase of her career may be bigger than she ever dreamed. Grade: B+”
– Glenn Gamboa, Newsday

“…Pickler is still one of the most exciting and underrated voices in country music. The Woman I Am is rooted in classic sounds, with a few nods to contemporary country, but none of it comes across as pandering…. The Woman I Am is the autobiographical declaration of a talented North Carolina native who continues to channel the sounds of Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.”
– Erik Ernst, Journal Sentinel

After performing on “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday, Nov. 25, Pickler will travel to New York City to perform on ABC Television’s “The View” on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Two days later, she will make her debut appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, Nov. 28 (broadcast live on NBC Television), where she will ride on a float and perform. The following week, she will perform on “CMA Country Christmas,” airing on Monday, Dec. 2 on ABC Television.

In between media appearances, Pickler is also performing at venues across the nation, including the following dates:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 5, 2013)- Country music’s Kellie Pickler announced today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she and her dance partner, Derek Hough, will dance to a very special song on Monday night’s Dancing With The Stars. In honor of the show’s theme of the week, “Most Memorable Year,” Pickler chose to dance to one from 2011— the year she married her husband, Nashville songwriter, Kyle Jacobs. Click here to watch her reveal the announcement to Ellen.

Pickler and Hough will dance the rumba to “Say I Do,” a romantic ballad written by Jacobs for Pickler shortly before their wedding day – and to top it off, Jacobs will perform the song in person on the show Monday night with the help of the Dancing With The Stars house band.

“It’s going to be an 100 percent emotional moment, and I’m just hoping I can keep it together,” Jacobs says. “Kellie’s doing so well on the show, and she’s having so much fun. The fact that she’s dancing to this song, our song, means so very much to both of us… it honors the love that we have so much.”

When asked how Jacobs feels about his wife dancing with Hough each week, Pickler sweetly told Ellen, “My husband knows he’s always going to get the last dance.”

Tune in to Dancing With The Stars on ABC on Monday at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 CDT to watch.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Fans won't want to miss it, as Pickler will make a very special announcement that can only be heard on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
