DARREN WARREN WRAPS UP FIRST ACM EXPERIENCE

Darren Warren EP cover

(Las Vegas, Nevada...) - NuCorp Entertainment Artist Darren Warren packed enough into 48 hours at his first Academy of Country Music Awards to create a lifetime of memories. Highlighted by a performance at the first ACM Experience and singing the National Anthem at NHRA drag racing's Summit Racing.com Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the weekend was filled with television and radio appearances, parties and more parties.

After arriving late Friday night, he was up bright and early on Saturday morning to appear on Las Vegas ABC Television affiliate KTNV to promote his performance on the ACM Experience later that day. He chatted with weekend morning anchor Tina Patel about being in Las Vegas and attending his first ACM Awards, and he performed "That's The Way God Made Me" from his Cowboy Up and Party Down EP. The interview and performance can be seen here.

He performed at the debut ACM Experience Saturday afternoon and signed autographs for new fans at the Shepler booth. A quick ride to the MGM Grand followed for almost three hours of interviews with radio stations from coast to coast at the Dial Global radio remotes. Then it was back to Mandalay Bay to catch the ACM Concert - Salute to the Military Presented by NRA Country.

Sunday morning proved to be a highlight of Darren's career, when he performed a wonderful rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" at the NHRA drag race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He was caught completely off guard when, immediately after the last note was sung, the two 8,000 horsepower top-fuel dragsters fired up for their pre-race burnouts. "My knees literally buckled, when those things took off," he said.

After watching several top-fuel and funny car races from various vantage points, it was back to Mandalay Bay to get ready for the ACM Awards red carpet. He and several other new artists were whisked back to Mandalay Bay for the ACM Fan Jam, which coincided with the ACM Awards. During one commercial break, Darren was enlisted to give away an autographed guitar to a lucky fan in attendance. He headed back to MGM following the awards for the ACM All Star Jam and hit several more parties before calling it a night.

"This weekend was honestly one of the highlights of my life," Darren said. "You work, work, work and bust your chops playing bars and dives, and then you find the right team to release your music and get it to the point on the charts where you start fulfilling dreams like going to the ACM Awards. I feel so honored and privileged to be able to take part in every moment this weekend."
