“The best part about this video and the thing that I'm most proud of is the fact that my son was in it. I feel like it's so important to have these moments to be able to look back on. I feel like the kids are right at that age where they kind of realize what daddy has done for a living and what he continues to do. So just to be able to have that memory is super special to me and I'm just very thankful that not only was he in it, but that he cooperated and did what the directors asked.” Nail said.

DAVID NAIL RELEASES LONG AWAITED NEW EP, "BEST OF ME" - AVAILABLE NOW
This new EP is an avenue of Nail's artistic evolution, following a string of critically acclaimed albums. With his unparalleled vocal talents and captivating songwriting, David Nail continues to solidify his place in country music.
“Silverado is one of the most fun songs I’ve ever been a part of writing, and there was an immediate feeling in the room that this would be a blast playing live! We initially planned to release this last Fall but the pause allowed us to really take another look at it, and I think, enhance the overall sound,” Nail said.
“Nail’s superb vocal talents are country canon, thanks to songs like ‘Red Light’ and ‘The Sound of a Million Dreams.’ The singer-songwriter shows off his sentimental side on this solo write, about his wife Catherine, as he recalls the man-to-man conversation he shared with her father as Nail asked for her hand in marriage. Though he doesn’t have money or the finer things in life to offer, he does have one thing of even more value — a steadfast love and commitment. ‘I’ll give her the best of me/ If you’ll give her away,’ he sings, as his nuanced vocal, layered over sweet guitar work, embodies the passion, vulnerability and hope embedded in the song’s sentiments. This is sure to be a wedding season favorite.” - Billboard
“I have always thought this guy had something special. His return to disc is a summer romance with a nostalgic tinge. He still sings splendidly and the track (Sunset Carousel) is right in the pocket for beach listening.” Robert Oermann, MusicRow
David and his wife, Catherine sat down for an intimate weekly series telling their story about their first meeting at the Nashville staple, Tin Roof, and how David asked Catherine’s father for permission to ask her for her hand in marriage.

DAVID NAIL RELEASES TENDER NEW SINGLE REFLECTING ON THE DAY HE ASKED FOR HIS FATHER-IN-LAW'S BLESSING
David Nail is sharing one of the more poignant moments from his personal life with his newest release “Best of Me,” available everywhere now.
Written about his longtime wife, Catherine, the new single finds Nail reminiscing about asking his father-in-law for his future wife’s hand in marriage and reflecting on the promise he made way back then to give her the best of him throughout the life of their relationship. Nail’s vulnerability shines throughout “Best of Me,” particularly in acknowledging that while he didn’t have much money or a ring, he knew he would love Catherine for the rest of time. Listen to “Best of Me” here!

DAVID NAIL, A SIMPLE SONG AND A PERSONAL THOUGHT
The Twitter post by David Nail from February 23, 2019 is so spot on.
We're all so quick to criticize what we don't like and what we don't agree with. Artists hear so much criticism, they hear the word "no" more than most of us do every day, they hear all day long what every thinks they're doing "wrong", how people don't like this song or that song, and even how they handle their personal lives. It's no wonder so many amazingly talented artists give up. There are bigger issues to focus my energy on rather than wondering why an artist chose to do a song I don't like or why they took a path I don't agree with. Who cares?
As "some blogger", I try to focus on the positive but I have been guilty of complaining, "Bashing" and being just negative just like every one else because I am so passionate about good music and how great artists are being looked over for this or that while others are put on pedestals for a mediocre and sometimes just plain bad product and complaining that "this isn't country or that isn't country", but this made me stop and think that it doesn't help them and the whole reason I do this is to help, not hinder and certainly not to create doubt about their abilities.
From today forward, you won't hear me be critical about what I don't like without at least trying to be constructive about why it doesn't work for me. I believe artists need more constructive feedback and not just "that sucks" or "I hate that song." The internet opens up such an uninhibited environment to say what you want under an umbrella of anonymity and it has to be hard for artists to read this all day, every day. Yes, I know being in the public eye puts you under intense scrutiny and you know what you're signing up for, but starting today, I choose not be part of that never ending negative scrutiny. I'd rather spend my time showing the positive that another artist is doing than spending my time, and yours, talking about what I don't like about another artist and their music. Those songs speak for themselves, the really good music sometimes needs the bigger voice.
Thank you David for making me stop and think ...

About this Concert
David Nail first learned of Payton Wright’s battle with Medulloepithelioma, a rare form of brain cancer, in December 2006 while watching a college basketball game on television. Dick Vitale, the ESPN basketball analyst who lives in Lakewood Ranch, was talking about Payton and her plight.
David reached out to Payton’s father, Patrick, and his wife, Holly, through their website and a relationship developed. David told the Wrights he would do whatever he could to help their foundation, and has been true to his word. So when Patrick recently asked David to perform a special benefit concert, with proceeds supporting The Payton Wright Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, Nail readily said yes.
The proceeds of this benefit concert will support the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, and The Payton Wright Foundation.
