BREAKOUT COUNTRY BAND LOCKELAND SET TO RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE ON MARCH 8

Trio Introduces A Love Song “Over The Moo-oon” As First In 2019 Series Of Original Tunes

The new country trio Lockeland (Michael Boris, Kyndon Oakes and Mark Vikingstad), that came together to “lock the lands” between the Midwest and New England with their musicianship, is set to release its debut single “Til The Cows Come Home.”* Co-written by Boris, Oakes, Vikingstad and Renn Anderson (and produced by Michael Boris and Sean Spence), the fun-loving hook is a rendering from the colloquial phrase cleverly coined with nursery rhyme lyrics electrified by heart-pounding drumbeats, rockin’guitar licks and smooth-groovin’ harmonies. Slated to impact country radio on March 1, 2019, the easy-does-it, tongue-in-cheek love song gives a shout-out to Russell Stover—likening a newfound love to a “box of chocolates—and “Full Moon Fever.”

ON YOUR MARK, GET READY
I’VE GOT SOMETHING TO PROVE
MAY NOT BE TOM PETTY
BUT I’LL FREE FALL INTO YOU

The combination of the playful sing-along chorus and a bridge filled with similes forecasts a sweetheart’s indefinite devotion.

IT’S LIKE I STUMBLED ON A FIELD OF FOUR LEAF CLOVERS
SAILING PAST CLOUD NINE, I’M LOOKING DOWN AT THE MOON
IF LIFE’S LIKE A BOX OF RUSSELL STOVERS,
GIRL, LOOK WHAT I GOT WHEN I FOUND YOU

“Kyndon, actually got the song idea riding along a roadside in Kansas,” Mark Vikingstad (lead guitar) introduced. “I wish the idea was clever, but I just saw a bunch of cows in a field and the thought just came to me…wouldn’t it be grand to be in a relationship ‘til the cows come home,” added lead singer, Kyndon Oakes. “I feel that this track really demonstrates the key elements of Lockeland...Our three-part harmonies, high-energy performance, affinity for clever lyrical hooks and phrases, and our mutual sense of humor. 'Til The Cows Come Home' is a fun, witty love song that we hope listeners will crank-up and sing along!" said Lockeland drummer and co-producer, Michael Boris. "The production showcases the smooth, yet soaring elements of our three part vocals as well as the rockin’, high energy of the instrumental performances. Our goal is to give the listener a fun, witty love song that they can crank up to eleven in the car, with the windows rolled down, cruising on an open highway with the one they love in the passenger seat.” said Lockeland drummer and co-producer, Michael Boris.

Marco Promotions and Jerry Duncan Promotions will team to spearhead the “Til The Cows Come Home” country radio promotion campaign Lockeland is also slated to participate in CRS-50 (Country Radio Seminar/February 13-15, 2019) in Nashville. The single will be available via major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/iTunes/Pandora/Rhapsody/ Spotify) on Friday, March 8, 2018. Digital retail distribution services will be provided by Ed Gertler/Digital Delivery Services.

JAKE FLINT BUSTS OF OF THE CHUTE WITH DEBUT SINGLE "COWTOWN"

Oklahoma Red Dirt artist, Jake Flint, is busting out of the chute with his debut self-penned single, "Cowtown."  The uptempo goodtime tune is about a group of young men who spend the night out on the town having a great time on Saturday night, and closes with a morning-time musical tip of the hat to Merle Haggard. The single was produced by Flint and Mike McClure (Great Divide).

Currently in the midst of a multi-city radio tour that has taken him across Oklahoma and Texas, Flint is beginning to see his efforts pay off as "Cowtown" bubbles under the Top 100 on the Texas Regional Radio Report chart, where it lands this week at #103. No small feat in a competitive market where hundreds of other artists jockey for position.

In addition to the current radio promotion, Flint has recently returned from a trip to Nashville, where he was accompanied by his manager, Brenda Cline of Workhorse 615, and management roster mate, platinum selling songwriter Bernie Nelson, to the 47th Anniversary Songwriter Hall Of Fame Gala. There, Flint was introduced to legendary writers Tim Dubois, Mac McAnally, Jim McBride, and Jerry Salley, along with top-level producers and tastemakers including Harold Shedd, Buddy Canon, Bob Doyle and Judy Harris. Flint also had several successful co-writing sessions while in town.

"Workhorse 615 and our entire team is working diligently to raise awareness about our single that we are very proud of and excited for people to hear. I truly treasure every mile I travel playing shows and visiting radio stations to promote the single. Many thanks to my team and to all the great people I've met on this journey; from radio DJs to venue owners to co-writers and performers and all great folks who come to my shows. You have become my family. Onward and upward!"
