WILLIAM BECKMANN INVITED TO DEBUT ON GRAND OLE OPRY BY PARKER MCCOLLUM

BECKMANN RAISES OVER $50,000 FOR MATTHEW AND CAMILA MCCONAUGHEY’S JUST KEEP LIVIN’ FOUNDATION’S UVALDE RELIEF FUND

Emerging artist and Texas native William Beckmann received an exciting video call from fellow Texan and friend Parker McCollum recently inviting him to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on March 3. A visibly shaken Beckmann offered his gratitude to McCollum for all the support thus far.

“When Beckmann first performed for us, we were spellbound by the richness of his vocal and the classic beauty of his songs,” says Jordan Petit, Artist Relations & Programming Strategy at Opry Entertainment Group. “We are excited to see him step onto the Opry stage & join a history where so many vocal giants have performed.”

“Performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage is every country singer’s dream and I am beyond excited to finally have my chance to play there," says an emotional Beckmann. "I grew up in a small town in Texas and have so many friends and family who will be coming to cheer me on. To feel the love and support from both the Opry and my hometown is something I am beyond grateful for.”

His debut will follow a performance at the Ryman Auditorium’s Texas Independence Day Celebration with Pat Green and Randy Rogers Band the night prior.

This exciting news comes on the heels of a successful 2022 for the bilingual Beckmann. Late last year, he wrapped his Las Posadas Tour: Hope for Uvalde that sold out nine shows in ten days across Texas raising over $50,000 for Matthew and Camila McConaughey’s Just Keep Livin’ Foundation’s Uvalde Relief Fund.

“We are grateful to William for his generosity in giving back to Uvalde through his tour,” says McConaughey. “The money he was able to raise will make a big impact in the services the just keep livin Foundation is providing to this community.”

“Looking back on 2022, the Las Posadas tour is probably what I’ll remember the most. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to help a community in need," says Beckmann. "Especially when that community is one I know well. I want to thank all the people who helped me organize the tour and of course all the fans who came out to support it.”

Beckmann’s current single “Damn This Heart Of Mine” currently sits inside the Top 20 on Texas Radio Charts and continues to climb. New music from his forthcoming album will be released this spring.

BRIT TAYLOR & MIKE AND THE MOONPIES RELEASE "LONELY ON CHRISTMAS"

The Christmas season takes on a whole new feeling when Texas honky-tonk meets Kentucky country in “Lonely on Christmas,” an ode to the lonely that musically mingles Brit Taylor’s sultry melancholy whisper with the raspy angst of Mike and the Moonpies. The song is available now on all streaming platforms.

Written by hit songwriter Jason White and produced by Taylor and Adam Chaffins, “Lonely” is a Christmas tune that has all the vibes of a country classic; yet, it is as new as today and as familiar as yesterday. In a season of perpetual good cheer, Taylor and Mike and the Moonpies sympathize with the lonely while urging empathy because “that’s the reason for the season after all.”
Listen here.

With its simple holiday-style melody, in stark contrast to the despair of the lyrics, the contrasting delivery of Taylor and Mike and the Moonpies leaves the listener with a song that is both tormented and compassionate.

“When Jason sent this song over, I just knew I had to record it,” Taylor said. “Singing ‘Lonely on Christmas’ as a duet gave this song a whole other meaning. I discovered Mike and the Moonpies in 2020 and fell in love with their music. The polarity of our vocal styles just fits the song and the mood. It was a perfect complement.”

"When Brit [Taylor] calls, I’ll answer every time," adds Mike. "I rolled into my studio that night to add our Moonpies swagger to this lonesome Christmas collaboration."

During the joy of the season and the despair of loneliness, the poignant “ain’t no lonely like lonely on Christmas” will have you reaching for a tissue and a glass of bourbon.

“Nashville is the epicenter of great songwriting, so the top songwriters in Nashville really are the best in the business,” says Charlie Judge. “It is my incredibly good fortune to have the opportunity to work with these talented writers, both as a keyboardist in the studio recording their hits, and as an arranger re-casting their songs for orchestra.”

VIRAL SENSATION KAREN WALDRUP USES HER PLATFORM TO RAISE FUNDS TO BUILD A HIGH SCHOOL IN HAITI IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MISSION OF HOPE: HAITI

“TELL THEM WE LIVED,” SINGLE AVAILABLE NOW, ACCOMPANYING MUSIC VIDEO SHOT IN HAITI PREMIERES ON COUNTRY REBEL

Viral sensation, country singer/songwriter and innovative entrepreneur Karen Waldrup is in the depths of album release schedules, but that didn’t stop her from using her platform to give back to a very special cause. “Tell Them We Lived,” the song penned by Waldrup and her friend Mel King, is a heartfelt anthem that echoes the sentiment of Waldrup’s daily life, “living life to the fullest and showing love to everyone.”

The song came about when Carrie Underwood was performing “Softly and Tenderly” at the 2017 CMA Awards in tribute to the industry professional and Las Vegas shooting victims that died last year. Waldrup and King finished the song while the awards were happening. Fast forward to April 2018, Waldrup traveled to Haiti and immediately knew she had to release the song as a benefit to raise money for Mission of Hope: Haiti and their initiative to build a high school in the village of Bercy. The single is available everywhere music is streamed and sold.

Waldrup shot a music video for the song while she was in Haiti that features kids involved with Mission of Hope: Haiti. It premiered exclusively on Country Rebel to their engaged fanbase of about eight million people.

View it at highschoolforhaiti.com
Waldrup just released her first full length album, Justified, that landed on 4 Billboard charts including #26 on the Top Country Album sales chart. Waldrup wrote or co-wrote 9 of the 11 tracks with Nashville friends and fellow songwriters including Julia Cole, Anthony Smith, Donnie Skaggs, Ed Hill, Brian Kolb and others. The album features title track “Justified,” that Music Row magazine calls "a soul-rock tune that showcases potent, wailing and penetrating vocalist with moxie and fire,” the catchy party anthem “What Goes On In This Bar (Stays In This Bar),” Waldrup’s viral version of “I Hope You Dance,” the Lori McKenna penned love song “Sometimes He Does” and the vibey and sultry “Slow and Easy.”

Throwback to November 2016, Waldrup launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund a new project that award-winning producer Garth Fundis agreed to produce. The life of the campaign was a rollercoaster ride, with very low lows and even higher highs for independent artist Waldrup. During the campaign, she heard a preacher say, “The moment you take the burden off of yourself to be important is the moment you start living your true potential,” and she committed to living that mindset. Shortly after, by request from a 16 year old fan, Waldrup recorded an unedited, one-take cover of Lee Ann Womack’s massive hit, “I Hope You Dance” in her living room. After sending it to that fan, she also shared the video with her friends at lifestyle brand Country Rebel. They were blown away by the heartfelt cover and posted it immediately on their socials. After millions of views and thousands of interactions on social media, her Indiegogo campaign was over 100% funded, and she began recording that dream album. To date, the video has been viewed over 28 million times.

BRANDON CHASE JOINS FORCES TO STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING WITH 8 DAYS FILM

BUDDING COUNTRY ARTIST STANDS UP AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING
WITH 8 DAYS FILM AND MOVEMENT

CHASE USES MUSIC PLATFORM AND SONG “ARISE” TO INSPIRE HOPE AND
ACTION IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING

PRESS RELEASE

Nashville, TN– (July 18, 2014) - The Voice Team Blake Season 5 contestant and rising country music star Brandon Chase has a heart for missions and especially those captive in modern day slavery. Human trafficking is getting more ink these days but it’s still somewhat a silent epidemic that happens all over the world, and even here in the United States. Chase is broken hearted over this devastating issue and has been passionate about stopping this horrific crime even before it was a “hot topic” issue. In 2011, Chase wrote a ballad, “Arise,” to encourages victims to trust in the redemption and hope that is available to them.

His heart and song earned him a role in the upcoming feature film 8 DAYS. Produced by Dallas based film company After Eden Pictures and SHARE a 501(c) 3 non-profit. This film is inspired by actual events to raise awareness and funds for anti-trafficking organizations and safe homes across the country.

“Words can’t even begin to explain how awful this crime truly is,” says Chase. “There’s nothing more precious than a human life and it disgusts me to know that there are people out there that think they have the right to buy and sell a priceless soul as if they were just some inanimate object.”

The 8 DAYS movement, dedicated to ending human trafficking, will host events in eight major US cities as fundraisers, political rallies, screenings and concerts that benefit local sex trafficking organizations. This unconventional and unique approach to filmmaking pours ticket sales directly into local sex trafficking organizations. These organizations will use these funds to rescue and rehabilitate victims as well as build and expand safe homes. Brandon Chase will be a featured musical guest at these events.

“Becoming aware of the fact that human trafficking is happening all around us is the first step towards making a difference and becoming vocal about the crime starts to shake things up,” continues Chase. “Taking action is what results in the freedom of the victims and the captivity of the perpetrators. I want to see trafficking eradicated and real justice served, that’s why I’m taking action."

EXCLUSIVE ARTIST INTERVIEW: INTRODUCING BRANDON CHASE (NBC'S THE VOICE SEASON 5)

If you're a fan of NBC's "The Voice", you may recognize Brandon Chase from season 5. With obvious charisma and a winning personality, Brandon Chase comes across as a shy, unassuming artist, humble in his attitude and charming in his character, but don't let that fool you. There is nothing shy, unassuming or quiet about his talent, it speaks rather loudly for itself. Having worked hard as an independent artist, writing and selling his own music, his turn on The Voice thrust Brandon into the spotlight as an artist with a future that is now a little more defined and a little less uncertain. He's got talent, that's been seen by millions, now he's ready to prove it outside of your television sets, through live performances nationwide. Brandon took time out to answer some questions for us so that we can help you get to know him  just a little better. We found him while surfing iTunes back in 2012 and started promoting his talent then, but now, with a brand new single, "One", just released to country radio, it's time that the whole world has a chance to see the natural talent that Brandon brings to the entertainment table.

1. For those who might not be familiar with your story, give us a little background into who Brandon Chase is, both personally and artistically.

I consider myself a very driven person in both the personal and professional aspects of my life. I’m very passionate about everything I do and always strive for excellence and quality. Having escaped the clutches of death only a few days after I was born, I live each day with purpose and passion to inspire and uplift others on this journey called life.

2  You were an independent artist, recording and releasing your own music before you auditioned for The Voice. That's actually how we found you, surfing on iTunes and came across your cd, "Country Enough", back in November 2012. What lead you from that point to "The Voice"?

After a pretty successful run of my "Country Enough - EP" as an independent artist, I found myself at a bit of a crossroad. There was momentum in my career, but at the same time I felt a little stuck. In that time of wondering what was next for me, I got an email from The Voice inviting me to a private audition. The timing of it all was really perfect, and after much thought and prayer, I felt like it was the right opportunity for me.

3. What is the biggest personal challenge that you're currently pushing yourself to achieve?

Diving a little deeper into my personal songwriting.

4. You have a new single out, "One". Tell us about the song and how it came about that this particular song would be your debut single.

As a songwriter, I typically write all of my own music. However, "One" came to me through a publishing companies catalog. The first time I heard it, I knew it was a great song. I loved the story and how relatable it is to really almost anyone. Then, when we got into the studio to record it, it really just took on a whole new life. While the song was still being tracked, we already knew it had to be the first one out of the gate.

5. Who or what has been your strongest motivator?

My strongest motivation comes from peoples reaction to my music. There's nothing more rewarding to me than when someone's life is impacted in a positive way through my music.

6. Who is your most influential artist?

Definitely Keith Urban. He's an incredible musician, singer, and songwriter. And from what I hear, he's a really great guy personally. I can't wait to meet him!

7. Do you have hobbies that keep you busy when you are not performing or in the studio?

When I'm not busy on the road, in the studio, etc. I really just love doing all the normal stuff. Watching movies with friends, hunting, bowling, etc. And one of my favorite things in the world to do besides music is snowboarding. But unfortunately, living in Texas I don't get to do that very much!

8. What is at the top of your bucket list, musically and non-musically?

Musically: to play at the new Dallas Cowboys AT&T stadium.

Non-Musically: skydive without an instructor strapped to my back.

9. What's your favorite memory of being on "The Voice" and do you keep in touch with any of the other contestants?

My favorite memory of The Voice was walking into the room to meet my family right after my blind audition. It was such a special moment for all of us that we will never forget.

I try to keep in touch as much as possible with the friends I made while on the show. But of course we all have busy lives and usually end up on completely opposite schedules. But they will always be great friends regardless of how much we end up communicating.

10. Having been that indie artist struggling to get heard, besides "don't give up", what's the best advice you can give to another artist just getting started?

Well first of all, make sure that music is absolutely what you feel like you were put on this earth do to. Because if there's any second guessing at all, it's probably not for you. It takes a lot of heart, a lot of determination, and even more endurance. You will hear the word "no" many more times than you can imagine, and at times it really hurts. But no matter what, you just have to keep going as if you heard "yes".
