EXILE ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM, "A MILLION MILES LATER"

First Album of Original Music in Over Thirty Years

American Country Rock Band and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Members, Exile announced the release of their new album, A Million Miles Later earlier this week at an exclusive invitation-only album listening party at the infamous Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville to a who’s who music industry crowd. The band shared stories about each of the new songs and paid homage to the co-writers and producers in attendance, along with many other team members behind making the project happen. This is the first album released with original music in over thirty years by the group. The new album is available for streaming and download https://onerpm.link/amml_exile.

What makes a release unique can range from the style of music it is, the lyrics, the instruments used, or even the feeling in the studio while it was being written, when combined make songs uniquely an artist’s. Exile uses all of these elements to their advantage and it is what sets them apart and has been the glue to their longevity. The elements all play a part in setting the tone of their release’s overall storyline and why listeners form a real, lasting attachment to the music. A Million Miles Later is a perfect example of this technique.

“This was our most ambitious album project ever, 16 songs,” shared band member J.P. Pennington. ”It took about a year and a half to complete and was a total team effort. I feel like we covered a lot of ground genre-wise. We have all been influenced by many different styles of music and we tried to reflect that here. We’re very proud of it.”

“We are family and at times reading each other’s minds, a by-product of focusing with full intensity on a common goal for sixty years,” said Exile’s Steve Goetzman. “Each member is chosen for personality, as well as talent. We are good guys and help one another grow along these lines, keeping ourselves in check. Actually, we’ve covered far more than a million miles, but who is counting. This album is a summary of how we click. I feel a lot of gratitude!”

“It's very rewarding to be able to release a new product that we're proud of, particularly as we're celebrating our 60th anniversary,” commented Exile member Marlon Hargis.

“I think this is one of the best projects we’ve ever done,” stated Exile’s Les Taylor.

“The creativity has never stopped in this band,” related Sonny LeMarie of Exile. “While we are grateful for our past accomplishments, we’re still striving to create new music and new challenges. This 60th anniversary project, ‘A Million, Miles, Later,’ from the writing and recording, has been a joy from start to finish. We can’t wait for fans to hear it!”

Rooms To Go Adds Video to 200+ Locations For In Store Entertainment

Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Members, Exile, recently released a new sentimental Christmas single, “Kid At Heart” and personal lyric video to accompany the release which included family photos of the band members. The reminiscing and timeless lyric video created by Jenny List at Pheasant Productions based in Nashville.

The video was picked up by Rooms-To-Go for their in-store entertainment and aired on National, International, Syndicated and On Demand outlets for linear rotation to also include Roku and Apple TV. “Kid At Heart” is available for viewing on Heartland TV, DC Networks, Stryk TV, Country Music Channel, Nashville Country TV, My Jam Music and more.

The song was penned by Exile member, JP Pennington and John Bizzack and distributed for radio airplay on the CDX 2020 Christmas Volume. The song is available for download and streaming on all digital music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music and more here.

"Kid At Heart” was inspired by the way I still feel at Christmas time. It's my hope that it makes others feel the same." shared JP Pennington of Exile. “It was an honor to write this song with John Bizzack, who I have been producing records on and writing with for over a decade.”

"It was both a privilege and a pleasure getting to create a visual interpretation of this beautifully nostalgic song. "Kid At Heart" is a wonderful reminder that childlike joy can be found at any age, and holiday traditions retain their magic throughout life,” expressed video producer, Jennie List. “Getting to illustrate the message of the song through snapshots of the band's own personal lives was such a special project of which to be a part."

Due to Covid-19 and the song was recorded in three different locations. As the band described, “Files flying everywhere!” The only band member who left their respective town during the whole process was JP Pennington who made two trips to Nashville during the making of this project. “Kid At Heart” was the first recording they made where guitars, vocals and percussion were recorded first. Guitars, vocals, percussion were tracked at Tower Station Studio, Bourbon County, KY. Drums, bass and keyboards recorded and engineered at The DAWg Houze in Hendersonville, TN by Tony Cottrill and mixing and additional percussion was produced by Paul Scholton at County Q Productions in Nashville, TN. The music was mastered by Mike Purcell.

2020 celebrates the 57th anniversary for the band, which formed in Richmond, Ky. Since beginning in 1963 the band has had No. 1 hits on both the pop and country charts, achieving ten No. 1 hits on the country chart. Previous Christmas music released by the group includes their album Wrapped Up in Your Arms for Christmas in 2016 and “Happy Birthday, Jesus” released in 1995 and also recorded by Alabama in 1996. The song was written by JP Pennington along with Teddy Gentry at his farm in Ft. Payne, AL in early 1995.

Pop/country crossover hit-making band will continue to tour performing their greatest hits, fan-favorite on-the-road songs from over the years, and will continue to announce new dates for 2021.

KENTUCKY MUSIC HALL OF FAME MEMBERS, EXILE, FEATURED ON SIRIUSXM PRIME COUNTRY

Kentucky Music Hall of Fame members, Exile, joined host, Storme Warren, during a special Prime Country performance with SiriusXM subscribers sharing stories and songs on their most recent release, The Garage Tapes. The music takes listeners back to Exile’s hometown of Lexington, Kentucky and the very garage they re-purposed into a recording studio where their acclaimed musical journey began. The special airs on SiriusXM channel 58 online at https://player.siriusxm.com.

Exile has enjoyed much unexpected demand for the 30 song, two CD compilation released by Big Horse Records late summer 2019. Watch the video to learn more about The Garage Tapes from the voices that made the songs famous here.

“What fun this project has been. When we started, we really did not grasp the reaction fans and industry would have, as these songs are not fully produced,” shares Exile. “We are elated that people love sharing the journey with us and have embraced the music from our humble beginnings.”

“The liner notes with this project are superb. Forget Wikipedia. Leave Google alone. This is far better. These are words coming straight from the source. Some of the best liner notes I’ve seen in recent years. I’d love to keep telling you more fun factoids about Exile, but just buy the album. It’s 30 tracks of listening luxury. That’s not something you get everyday anymore.” Think Country - Patti McClintic

Capturing these songs from the original tapes required an intricate process and remastering to bring it up to current technical standards.

“THE GARAGE TAPES” TO BE RELEASED BY KENTUCKY MUSIC HALL OF FAME MEMBERS, EXILE

Musical Legacy of Original Demo Recordings Recorded Between 1979 and 1982

Celebrating CD Release with VIP Event at The Caverns in Pelham, TN

A little over forty years have passed and over 8 million records have been sold, including three Gold records and eleven number one hit songs, along with numerous hits on the pop and country chart since Exile band members, Steve Goetzman, Marlon Hargis, J.P. Pennington, Sonny LeMaire and Les Taylor began making music and gathering in a small garage in Lexington, Kentucky making demos of their songs. Until now these recordings have remained unheard by anyone outside the small circle of the band. These particular garage tapes, were recorded between 1979 and 1982 at LEMCO studio in Lexington, Kentucky. Exile is excited to share their most current CD project, “Exile - The Garage Tapes.” The 30 song, two CD compilation is set for release by Big Horse Records in the upcoming weeks for purchase online and on all digital music platforms.

Industry and fans are invited to celebrate at a VIP CD release event to take place in the cave at The Caverns in Pelham, TN on July 13. For more information on tickets visit here.

The compilation includes pop songs as well as several country songs. Capturing these songs from the original source taped required a process known as “baking” to recover each song. Unfortunately, they could not recover the song “Take Me Down” in its entirety, so they included an actual rehearsal version recorded on a boom-box in 1980 prior to leaving L.A. to record it for the album, "Don’t Leave Me This Way."

Since there are no demo versions of “Give Me One More Chance,” they have also included a rehearsal version recorded in the same manner on April 24, 1984. You will notice how the song morphed between this version and the final album version.

The band thought it would be interesting for fans to hear a song in the early stages of creation by including J.P. Pennington and Sonny LeMaire performing a very early version of “Keep It In The Middle of The Road" from a songwriting cassette tape.

NEW EPISODES OF LARRY'S COUNTRY DINER TO AIR THIS FALL FEATURING CELEBRITY GUEST HOSTS FILLING IN FOR LARRY BLACK

Hit Variety Show Dubbed 2015 ICGMA "TV Show Of The Year"

Seasons come and seasons go, but no matter what rain comes their way, the cast of Larry’s Country Diner always finds the sun. This fall, tune in to RFD-TV for new episodes of the hit music and comedy variety show, featuring performances from artists like Wade Hayes, John Conlee and Joey+Rory in September. Then, in October, celebrity guests fill in for the diner’s beloved host, Larry Black as he continues his recovery from a serious ATV accident.

“Witnessing the way in which the whole cast and production teams have come together to make sure the show continues on without a hitch despite my absence, has been incredibly heart-warming and inspiring to say the least. I have a first-class team behind me and knowing that helps me heal up even faster!” said Black.

Though Black has suffered a broken back, two punctured lungs and other injuries due to the crash, he was able to be present as a bystander at the show’s most recent tapings. Black hopes to be back hosting shows in coming months.

Until then, tune in this fall in September for never-before-seen episodes featuring performances by Hayes, Conlee, Joey + Rory, Carl Jackson and Orthophonic Joy, before new episodes in October featuring celebrity guest hosts.

Upcoming episodes of Larry’s Country Diner include:

Week of:

In addition, on August 8, the International Country Gospel Music Association (ICGMA) awarded Larry’s Country Diner the 2015 ICGMA Award for “TV Show Of The Year.”

One of the show’s leading cast members, Renae The Waitress, was present at the ceremony in West Plains, Missouri to accept the award, and said, “You guys just don't know how thrilled we are to receive this award! On behalf of the whole cast, the Sheriff, Keith, Nadine and our boss, Larry, thank you for this honor. When our first show aired in 2009 we had no idea that we would still be on the air six years later. We are so thankful that we have a platform to bring wholesome family entertainment into homes every week, and that we are able to start our tapings with a prayer and our shows with a promise. Thank you again for this award and I think it should be placed right by the cash register in the diner!”

Airing Saturday nights at 11 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. CT and Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT on RFD-TV, the down-home hit variety show has captured the hearts of over 1.6 million viewers each month across the nation, and celebrated over 100 episodes of live, unscripted wit and family-friendly fun.

Larry’s Country Diner, produced by Gabriel Communications, airs on Saturday nights and Sunday evenings on RFD-TV. Find your local channel listing for the show here.
