31ST ANNUAL TIN PAN SOUTH SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL SET FOR MARCH 28 - APRIL 1

THE NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL TO REVEAL LINEUP, BEGIN PASS SALES MARCH 3

The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) announces additional details for its 31st Annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival presented by Regions Bank. Taking place Tuesday, March 28, through Saturday, April 1, 2023, the famous Nashville staple will takeover ten stages across Music City in many of the most popular and hottest venues! Locations include: 3rd & Lindsley, Analog at Hutton Hotel (stage presented by Musicnotes), The Bluebird Cafe, Commodore Grille, Cross-Eyed Critters Watering Hole (stage presented by Tennessee Entertainment Commission), Hard Rock Café Nashville, The Lounge at City Winery (stage presented by Recording Academy Songwriters & Composers Wing), The Listening Room Cafe (stage presented by Visit Music City), Live Oak, and at The Vinyl Lounge (stage presented by Nashville Scene).

NSAI will reveal the full festival lineup on Friday, March 3. Week-long passes will go on sale that day at 10:00 a.m. CT at www.tinpansouth.com. Pass pricing is $145 for NSAI members and $175 for general public. If you are a member of NSAI, be sure to log in to your account to receive the member price! Passes typically sell out within 48 hours, so set your alarms! There will be a cash line at every show for those looking to attend on an individual basis – availability will be based on venue capacity and admission is not guaranteed.

Tin Pan South is one of Nashville’s most revered and highly anticipated events of the year and the 2023 festival will be no exception! Each venue will host early and late rounds throughout the week, showcasing hundreds of songwriters from Nashville, around the country, and beyond. With an array of musical talent spanning multiple genres, the entire week will be filled with a variety of unforgettable moments.

One show of note at The Bluebird Cafe will be curated by The Saxon Pub, a legendary Austin, Texas music venue, and will feature songwriters from the Lone Star State. The show is part two of a unique exchange program between The Bluebird Cafe and The Saxon Pub, and designed by NSAI to showcase and support the songwriters from the two music communities. Part one will be presented at The Saxon Pub during South by South West (SXSW) in mid-March. The Tin Pan South performance will cap off the inaugural partnership. “A greater presence in Texas is a priority for NSAI,” said Executive Director Bart Herbison.

Each year, Tin Pan South selects a nonprofit organization to receive proceeds from one of the participating shows. The Store has been chosen as the the official charity for 2023. The free year-round grocery store on 12th Avenue South at Caldwell Avenue in Nashville allows qualifying families to ‘shop’ for their basic needs with dignity. The Store collaborates with other organizations to solve hunger issues through food security and community empowerment programs.

Thank you to our annual Tin Pan South corporate partners: Regions Bank (title sponsor), Southwest (official airline) NewsChannel 5 (official broadcast partner) Jack Daniel’s, Visit Music City, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, Graduate Hotel, and Hutton Hotel.

#FESTIVALNEWS - BUCKLE & BOOTS REVEAL THEIR SUMMER LINE-UP FOR 2023

Buckle & Boots returns with another stellar line-up for 2023, taking place over the bank holiday weekend of the 25th - 28th May at Whitebottom Farm near Manchester. Continuing their loyal commitment to supporting homegrown talent, as well as introducing rising stars from across the pond to a UK fan base, this year once again sees an array of talent from all over the world, including America, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands.

Buckle & Boots are delighted to welcome Everette to Whitebottom Farm for the first time. UK country fans will be familiar with the Kentucky born duo who wowed audiences at C2C, The Long Road Festival and when they opened for Sara Evans on her recent UK Tour. Rooted in country, rock & roll, southern storytelling, and heartland hooks, Everette proudly blur the boundaries between themselves and their audience. For them, music is all about community and connection which sits perfectly with B&B’s ethos and why they are sure to be warmly embraced by everyone attending.

Following the tradition of presenting Canadian country stars such as Brett Kissel (2019), Tebey (2021), Matt Lang & Dan Davidson (2022), this year’s line-up includes Aaron Goodvin from the Land of the Maple Leaf. The Alberta-bred, Nashville-based country music star has topped the charts, produced a number one single and had several top 10s. Additionally he scored multiple CCMA and JUNO Award wins and nominations, most notably winning the 2018 CCMA Songwriter of the Year. Additionally, he has had songwriter cuts by Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Cole Swindell, and Josh Gracin.

Josh Setterfield’s ground-breaking single ‘Right About Now’ has accrued over 1 million streams and propelled him towards the heights of country music in his native Australia. Backed by a loyal and rapidly growing fan base, back-to-back #1’s on CMT, global playlisting and radio play, he is raising the bar with every release and performance.

There will be a special songwriters round on display as D. Vincent Williams (Rascal Flatts, James Otto, Ty Herndon), Trick Savage (Trisha Yearwood, Ashley McBryde, Eric Church) and Blue Foley (Ashley McBryde) roll into the farm for their UK debut. Having written for some of the biggest talent in Nashville it’s sure to be a jewel in the line-up.

Buckle & Boots attendees favourite Jeremy McComb returns for 2023, building on his recent UK Tour with Dan Olsen (who is also on the billing) in November. America continues to be well represented with Nashville recording artists The Reeves Brothers, Jessie G and Watt Wynn all performing under the Stars & Stripes flag along with Minneapolis based singer-songwriter Chastity Brown. Dutch songstress Deborah Parlor makes up the international contingent.

Buckle & Boots will once more welcome some of the best UK talent to their stages this summer with Katy Hurt, Matt Hodges and Two Ways Home all making an appearance. They will be joined by the popular country supergroup The Honkytonk Roadshow and a special performance by the newly formed The Country Orchestra.

Offering something different for Thursday the 25th, entertainment comes in the form of Old Time Sailors, a musical show designed to take the audience back in time through an unforgettable trip to the 19th century and beyond.

Full line-up available on the Buckle & Boots social media pages and website.

Full weekend tickets currently on sale starting from just £110 for adults and £55 for 15 and under, with individual day tickets soon to be available. All the details, including camping and glamping info, as well as festival guidelines can be found at http://www.buckleandboots.co.uk

Performers include Anders Osborne, Marc Broussard, North Mississippi Allstars, and more

Taking place across five venues in the “best small city in America” on September 13th and 14th, Park City Songwriter Festival promises to be an experience to captivate even the most avid of live music fans. In addition to the headliner’s concerts each night, songwriters in the round, panels, and workshops will all be part of the PCSF experience, which was dreamed up by Park City residents and festival co-founders, Ben Anderson, Scott Thomson, and Aaron Benward. “Park City Songwriter Festival brings to life our vision for an intimate musical experience where attendees feel like they’re in the green room, listening to their favorite artists swap stories,” says Anderson. “We’ve got Grammy award-winning artists with chart-topping songs and the Festival lineup brings a great mix of acoustic shows, electric musical performances, and industry-leading speakers.” Speaking of Grammys, Park City Songwriter Festival’s inaugural lineup has collectively won 17 of them. Park City Songwriter Festival’s initial lineup includes (in alphabetical order) Aaron Barker, Aaron Benward, Alicia Stockman, Anders Osborne, Anna Wilson, Bill Luther, Billy Dean, Bryon Friedman, Chad Cromwell, Chris Wallin, D Vincent Williams, Danny Myrick, Dave Pahanish, DJ Logic, Earl Bud Lee, Eric Van Houten, Even Stevens, Hailey Steele, Ira Dean, Keith Stegall, Kent Blazy, Kyle Jacobs, Kylie Sackley, Luther Dickinson, Marc Broussard, Matt Warren, Megan Linville, Monty Powell, North Mississippi Allstars, Paul Jenkins, Phillip White, Rick Brantley, Rick Gerber, Shannon Runyon, Sinclair, Sophia Dion, Steve Seskin, The Side Deal, Tim James, Travis Howard, Tyler Hilton, and Windy Wagner. 20 ACTS AND 2 STAGES: DEEP SOUTH ENTERTAINMENT CELEBRATES 20 YEARS WITH STREET FESTIVAL ON MAY 16

Following the announcement of Deep South Entertainment's 20th Anniversary celebration, the performers, fans, and friends alike have all voiced their excitement for the street festival on May 16th.

Deep South has been a staple of the Triangle music community since its formation in 1995.  The company has managed or business managed Grammy-winning and Billboard-charting artists like Bruce Hornsby, Little Feat, Parmalee, Marcy Playground, Stryper, Vienna Teng, Jason Michael Carroll, and many more.

Locally, Deep South produces concerts and events, and was instrumental in the introduction of more frequent outdoor live music in downtown Raleigh through their work with series such as Downtown Live, Raleigh Wide Open, and Oak City 7.  Additionally, the company owns and operates Deep South The Bar, a small live music venue across from the Red Hat Amphitheater.

Owner and President Dave Rose serves on the Raleigh Convention Center Commission and The Live Music Advisory Board through The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureaus, and has been an advocate of local music since graduating from NC State in 1990.

Come join us Saturday May 16, from Noon to 11pm for Deep South's 20th Anniversary Street Festival presented by Bud Light. Located on the corner of South Dawson St. and West Cabarrus St., we'll be taking over downtown Raleigh for a music festival suited for anyone and everyone. The fun continues at the after-party inside Deep South the Bar with 90's cover band 120 Minutes from 11pm-2am.

Celebrating 20 years with 20 acts and 2 stages, #DeepSouth20 will feature performances by bands and solo artists that have been a part of our 20 year history.

Tickets are available now at DeepSouthEntertainment.com and you can SAVE $5 if you buy them now!

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Band Together NC and The LGBT Center of Raleigh.

Each of the 20 artists performing at the 20th Anniversary Street party has a rich history with Deep South. Below is a brief description of each.

Parmalee – Top 40 country music band that rose to the top of the charts with their #1 hit “Carolina” and only continue to “permanently make the top of the charts their home” –Got Country Online. Parmalee has also been featured in CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown and their singles “Close Your Eyes” and “Already Callin You Mine” have been circulating country radio nationwide.  Deep South and Parmalee have worked together for many years. The band is part of the family.

Marcy Playground – Marcy Playground is most famously known for their 1997 hit single “Sex and Candy”. The alternative rock band’s song hit big and the group will be coming together again for one time only on Deep South's stage to reprise the hit and others alike. Sex & Candy was featured on Deep Volume 1 in 1996, a compilation CD released by the fledgling Deep South Records. The success of that song moved the company into the national spotlight.

Blake Christiana of Yarn – Blake Christiana, Yarn’s frontman, harmoniously blends Americana, Rock, and Country for unforgettable performances through musical storytelling. Yarn has been making noise around the music scene for the past 7 years and has an impressive collection of albums to date.  Yarn has performed at a number of events produced by Deep South over the years, including Raleigh Downtown Live & Oak City 7.

Kasey Tyndall – Kasey Tyndall, a client of Deep South's country music division, Tennessee East Artist Management, is indeed North Carolina's next big country music star. In 2014, Tyndall won a regional contest to duet with superstar Keith Urban and the two wowed a crowd of over 18,000 at Walnut Creek. Industry leaders in Nashville have taken notice and she is currently writing and recording with some of the most respected writers and producers in country music.

Collapsis – Featured on Deep 2 and one of Deep South’s first management clients, the Chapel Hill rock act Collapsis achieved local and national fame after signing with Universal Records and recorded their major-label debut (Dirty Wake) in early 2000, which reached Top 30 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts.

Steve Howell & Caroline Mamoulides – Steve Howell from The Backsliders and Raleigh singer-songwriter Caroline Mamoulides join forces to make beautiful folk/Americana music together, and throw in some songs from their past as well. Owner Dave Rose cites The Backsliders as one of his earliest influences musically as he was coming of age in the industry.

I Was Totally Destroying It – IWTDI, managed by Deep South, have brought their own brand of indie power pop to stages all across the country for the past 8 years – touring with Motion City Soundtrack and Jukebox The Ghost, and sharing the stage with everyone from Joan Jett to Billy Bragg, Passion Pit to Modern English.

Hank Sinatra – Deep South Digital client, Hank Sinatra, is the rowdiest rock n roll band in the land – their all-star lineup of Triangle musicians always brings down the house!

Erin Nenni – Another Tennessee East Artist Management client, Erin Nenni, is a singer/songwriter from a small town in North Carolina. A graduate from East Carolina University, Nenni’s career as a musician continues to bloom, having been heard on NPR's "The State of Things" and NBC's "My Carolina Today". She is releasing her debut country music EP this summer.

Jeff Carroll & The Desmonds – Jeff Carroll & The Desmonds were one of the first acts to be signed to Deep South in the mid 90’s, alongside Marcy Playground and Butch Walker, and are featured on the Deep Volume 1 compilation.  Jeff Carroll owns a local mastering studio and also worked on many of the early titles released through Deep South Records.

Chit Nasty Band – Alumni of the Oak City 7 stage, specializing in funk, soul, and rock & roll, The Chit Nasty Band delivers powerful rhythms and feel-good music with every live performance. Christian “Chit” Foushee-Green and fellow band members promise an unforgettable live music experience that leaves you feeling good deep down into your soul.

The Roman Spring – The latest project from Colourslide’s Alex Lawhon (winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2007 Song Of The Year award), The Roman Spring feature members of other NC luminaries such as Dillon Fence, Parklife, The Veldt, and Cravin Melon.  Visit Alex on Sunday night’s at Deep South the Bar.

Katie Garfield – Actress and singer/songwriter from Cary, NC released her first single “Put Me Back On My Throne” early February where it reigns at the top of the local charts on ReverbNation. Garfield resides in Los Angeles and is a client of the business management division of Deep South.

Season & Snare – Deep South the Bar’s 2014 Open Mic Winners Season & Snare features band members and co-creators Casey Austin Allen and Autumn Rose Brand. The duo has made waves in the Indie/Pop community and continues to deliver impressive harmonies through their music and undeniable talent. Set to release their first single soon, Season & Snare looks ahead to a bright future in music.

Zak Domogalla – As part of the Deep South the Bar family, Zak Domogalla never fails in delivering heartfelt Alternative and Acoustic Rock performances. His music embodies his life experiences and he utilizes lyricism and melody to perfect the art of storytelling.

Ryan Mullaney – Acoustic songstress, Ryan Mullaney, is the host for Deep South The Bar’s Tuesday Open Mic, which for 5 years running has been nominated Best In The Triangle by the readers of the Independent Weekly.

The Balsa Gliders – The Balsa Gliders have regularly played Deep South the Bar to capacity crowds over the years, and are frequent favorites of various festivals produced by Deep South.

Porch Light Apothecary – Brought together through impressive backgrounds in music, Brent Jordan and Jason Elliott have teamed up to create Porch Light Apothecary, showcasing their musical abilities through this new Americana duo. Brent Jordan produced his first solo CD with Deep South client Barry Knox of Parmalee.

120 Minutes – 120 Minutes play everything from Spice Girls to Nirvana, Blackstreet to Gin Blossoms, Alanis Morisette to Blind Melon – anything to make you say “The 90s are back!”  120 Minutes is comprised of several Deep South staff members:  John Booker, Curtis Armstead, Griffin Wade, and Aslan Freeman.

Adam Pitts - Incredible one-man-band Adam Pitts has been performing at Deep South produced events longer than most, and winning over the crowds every time. Pitts is one of the hardest working musicians in the Triangle area, and has taken his talents abroad as well. Pitts traveled to the Bahamas to perform in the Raleigh Rocks The Bahamas events in 2007 and 2008. Adam Pitts will join 120 Minutes on stage during the after party at Deep South the Bar to belt out some 90s hits and get the whole place dancing, as he always does.

Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival, produced and promoted by HUKA Entertainment, is a two-day music and conservation festival on the beach featuring over two dozen of the hottest artists in country, rock and roots music. Created together with the Rock the Ocean Foundation, the event serves to celebrate the festival’s ocean side setting while raising awareness of issues impacting the world’s oceans and supporting marine research and conservation, as well as protection of the festival’s namesake – sea turtles that nest annually along South Florida’s Atlantic seaboard.

“We’ve heard over and over what a unique and special event Tortuga is from our artists, fans and the community,” says HUKA Entertainment co-founder and CEO A.J. Niland, “As a result, we’re challenging ourselves in our third year to ensure we continue to deliver on our success and provide the sort of world-class event everyone has come to expect.”

“The concept of marrying music and conservation has proven to be a winner,” adds Rock The Ocean founder Chris Stacey. “With this year’s event, we hope to take our conservation awareness to new highs.”

While the 2015 festival performer line-up will remain under wraps for the time being, Niland says fans can expect the same caliber of talent to hit the beach at Tortuga as in previous years, which have featured the likes of Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, Hank Williams, Jr., Billy Currington, Sheryl Crow, Brett Eldredge, Ziggy Marley, Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite, Lynryd Skynyrd, Frankie Ballard and many, many more.

“Our goal remains to bring the best available talent we can to the beach so fans and artists can appreciate our world’s resources firsthand, and what it is we are trying to preserve,” says Niland. “Musically, we’ll have a little something for everyone, and it doesn’t hurt that we’re going to have a heck of a party in the process.”

With live music performances across three stages, the centerpiece to the festival is its Conservation Village, curated by Stacey, where over 20 organizations dedicated to marine research and conservation will provide interactive, educational experiences for festival patrons.

Stacey notes the Conservation Village will again offer premium content in its third outing, after featuring such notables as The Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, Shark Savers, Sea Turtle Oversight Protection, Florida Fishing Academy and Bonefish Tarpon Trust, among others.

“Our Conservation Village concept has been a win-win for our conservation partners and festival fans,” elaborates Stacey. “We allow our fans to learn more about the issues affecting our oceans by using interactions that are entertaining and fun. We’re honored to have some of the foremost experts in various areas of ocean advocacy participating, and to me, folks who spend their time saving our seas are rock stars, too.”

Additionally, festival-goers will again be encouraged to collect waste at the event site to minimize the festival’s impact on the environment, as in previous years, when fans were rewarded for their efforts with various premiums given in exchange for collected trash.

“Ours is one of the only events of its kind, where fans and artists alike can hear the sound of the waves mix with the music on stage,” says Niland. “That’s a special gift, and one that helps us remember what we’re celebrating and trying to preserve.”

“This year’s festival has been the best Country Thunder to date,” said Troy Vollhoffer, Executive Producer of the festival.  “I hope everyone comes back for another amazing year. Stay tuned for a very exciting line-up announcement!”

In addition to an award-winning, top-notch line-up, Country Thunder offered the full-fan experience and more on-site entertainment than ever before.  Jack Daniel’s Experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that brought a taste of the much-loved distillery from Lynchburg, Tenn. to Florence, Ariz., the Denim & Diamonds on-site bar, the Sling Shot thrill ride, mechanical bull riding, over 18 food vendors and nearly three dozen retail vendors. After the lights of the main stage went dark, festival goers made their way to Electric Thunder, where DJ Du was spinning into the wee hours of the morning.

“Each year, we are astonished to see this temporary city, which rises seemingly in the middle of nowhere, filled with so many like-minded souls and familiar faces. Whether one camps for the entire weekend or comes and goes each evening, we're all here for the same thing: to celebrate life with music, food, beer, sunshine and good friends. With such traditions come great expectations and Country Thunder never fails to deliver. Everywhere, you see people smiling.”  — Keith Sparbanie, Arizona Republic

“This year marked my fifteenth Country Thunder and each year just when you think you've seen everything you could expect from four days of country kicking in the desert, the festival comes up with something new that makes you say ‘Wow, I never would have thought of that.’  A few years ago, the festival experienced a rebirth that has made Country Thunder West one of the finest music festivals in the country.  This year’s lineup is a prime example: Just a week before the festival kicked off on Thursday, this year’s headliners were crowned as country music’s best of the best: Miranda Lambert, ACM Female Vocalist of the Year; Jason Aldean, Male Vocalist; and The Band Perry, Group of the Year.  Where else are you going to go to one venue and see country music’s biggest stars for one ticket?”  — Cathalena E. Burch, AZ Daily Star
