SCOTTY McCREERY’S RIAA DOUBLE-PLATINUM CERTIFIED “FIVE MORE MINUTES” INSPIRES TELEVISION MOVIE

“Five More Minutes” Premieres This Saturday, Nov. 20 on
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Tickets for McCreery’s 2022 Same Truck Tour On Sale Now

Inspired by Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery’s RIAA Double-Platinum Certified No. 1 single “Five More Minutes,” Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will premiere the television movie “Five More Minutes” this Saturday, Nov. 20 at 10 pm ET (9 pm CT), as part of their Miracles of Christmas celebration.

Watch the trailer HERE.

Written by Nikki Deloach and Megan McNulty, the film stars Deloach and David Haydn-Jones as a woman’s Christmas wish is answered in unexpected ways when her late grandfather’s journal turns up and reveals an untold romance. Though he is not in the movie, McCreery serves as an Executive Producer.

Co-written with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, McCreery shared, “It was a special day writing this one. We all sat down, and at first, I was just talking about my granddaddy. I always believed in it and thought it was a story that everyone could relate to—I feel like everyone has these things that they go back to and wish they had more time. We worked on this song for three or four different days, and a lot changed, and it took a while, but I wanted it to be perfect.”

Released as the first song from his RIAA Gold-certified album Seasons Change, “Five More Minutes” was ranked No. 2 on the iTunes country singles chart and No. 9 on the iTunes all-genre singles chart on the first day of its release in 2017, while it debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Country Digital Sales Chart.

Earlier this week, McCreery’s third consecutive No. 1 single from Seasons Change, the RIAA Gold-certified “In Between” was named one of the Most Performed Songs of the Year at the 69th Annual BMI Country Awards.

Following his fourth consecutive No. 1 single “You Time” and the release of his fifth studio album Same Truck, McCreery recently announced plans for his 2022 Same Truck Tour across the U.S., as well as four new dates in Germany and the Netherlands, where fans can expect to hear his new single, “Damn Strait,” along with his multiple RIAA Platinum and Gold certified hits from throughout his decade-long career. For tickets and more information, visit ScottyMcCreery.com.

McCreery released Same Truck to applause from fans and critics, with Billboard sharing that hitmaker “continues proving his mettle not only in the recording booth, but in the writing room, as a co-writer on the bulk of the project’s songs,” while Tennessean shares, “McCreery walks a sonic tightrope that leans into his country influences while not abandoning modern Music Row hitmaking.”

Same Truck was produced by Rogers, Aaron Eshuis and Derek Wells, the team who produced Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. McCreery co-wrote every song on that album.

Backstage at his show at The Gramercy Theatre in New York City on Monday night celebrating the release of his new album Seasons Change, Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery received a plaque commemorating the RIAA Gold certification status of his recent No. 1 hit, “Five More Minutes.” The song, written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, topped both the Billboard and Mediabase / Country Aircheck Country Airplay charts, and was McCreery’s first ever No. 1 song.

SCOTTY MCCREERY LANDS AT THE TOP OF THE CHARTS WITH HIS FIRST #1 SONG "FIVE MORE MINUTES"

After announcing his forthcoming album, Seasons Change, is due March 16 on Triple Tigers Records and making some major decisions in his personal and professional career, Scotty McCreery’s debut single from the forthcoming album, “Five More Minutes,” becomes his first No. 1 hit, reaching the top spot on both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck Country Airplay charts. The song that The Tennessean says, “pulls heartstrings” also cements RIAA Gold certification for combined units of steams and sales in excess of 500,000.

An overjoyed McCreery said, “There was a time I thought this song would never see the light of day. Seeing this song, inspired by my Granddaddy Bill, go Gold and then become my first number one means the world to me! After writing it with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, I tweeted out that ‘I think I just wrote my favorite song I’ve ever written,’ and that still holds true today. Thank you to my fans, country radio, Triple 8 Management, Triple Tigers Records, my band and crew, and everyone on my team. A big thank you to Bobby Bones for bringing national attention to the song. Gabi and I have been celebrating all day!”

“Five More Minutes,” which People calls an “emotional walk down memory lane,” was McCreery’s first introduction back to the industry after the singer took almost five years since his last No. 1 studio LP, See You Tonight while resolving legal disputes with his former label, touring, writing new songs, and creating this new album for his new label home. The hit that Billboard calls, “heart-wrenching” was written two weeks after the passing of his paternal grandfather, who serves as a major inspiration for the song, and takes listeners on a journey through both the joys and sorrows of life, ending with a plea for “five more minutes” with his grandfather.

McCreery wrote the song with Seasons Change co-producer Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell back in 2015. He first performed it publicly on the Grand Ole Opry in June 2016 during CMA Music Festival, receiving a standing ovation and subsequently millions of views on the Opry’s YouTube channel. National Radio Hall of Fame member Bobby Bones championed “Five More Minutes” and gave the song its national radio debut on his morning show in late April 2017. Fan reaction was immediate, and McCreery released the song independently soon thereafter. On the day the song was released, country music legend Randy Travis tweeted “this is storytelling and country music at its best.” Soon after McCreery signed with Triple Tigers Records, and the song became not only the highest-ranking single of his career, but also the fastest rising song of his career.

The 24-year old singer/songwriter has a lot to say on Seasons Change, McCreery’s forthcoming 11-track album, co-produced by Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis, due March 16.

With every song co-written by McCreery himself, Seasons Change marks the first time he’s played a hand in writing his entire album. With songs influenced by true-life events that occurred since he released his last album at 19 -- including moving out on his own, going to college, getting robbed at gunpoint, losing his grandfather, changing record labels, releasing a book and proposing to his high school sweetheart -- Seasons Change is a true reflection of where the North Carolina native is in life.

Aside from “Five More Minutes,” several songs from Seasons Change are available now including “Wherever You Are,” “In Between,” and “Home In My Mind.”

Fans can pre-order Seasons Change now here: http://smarturl.it/Seasons_Change.

The project features his current nearly-Top 10-and-climbing radio hit “Five More Minutes,” which People calls an “emotional walk down memory lane.”

Fans are also surprised today with the instant grat track “Wherever You Are,” available now. “Wherever You Are” was co-written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Dan Isbell. The song outlines the motivation love gives to do whatever it takes to be with a significant other, and is inspired by McCreery’s recently-engaged fiancée, Gabi Dugal, with lyrics like:

Up in Manhattan/ Or way out in some cabin/ In the middle of nowhere/ Well baby I’ll be there/ Wherever you are, wherever it is/ Baby it ain’t too far/ Just give me call or drop me a pin

The 24-year old singer/songwriter has a lot to say on the 11-track album, produced by Rogers (McCreery’s See You Tonight, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker), Derek Wells (guitarist for Kenny Chesney, Brett Eldridge, Little Big Town), and Aaron Eshuis (producer for Ryan Hurd, songwriter for A Thousand Horses, Joe Nichols, Cole Swindell).

Among his co-writers on the personal album are Jessi Alexander (Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton), Monty Criswell (Eric Church, Darius Rucker, George Strait), Jason Gantt (Brooks & Dunn, Faith Hill, Alison Krauss, Tim McGraw), David Lee Murphy (Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton) and more.

SCOTTY MCCREERY ANNOUNCES FIRST ALBUM IN 5 YEARS, "SEASONS CHANGE", DUE MARCH 16

Earlier this year, Scotty McCreery released his single, “Five More Minutes,” a song People called an “emotional walk down memory lane” that pleads for more time with the people and experiences that are important in his life. The ACM, BMI and CMT Award winner wrote the Top 20-and-climbing hit song that The Tennessean says “pulls heartstrings” just two weeks after the passing of his grandfather. Now, the North Carolina native expands on his reflections about life with his highly-anticipated third studio album, Seasons Change, due March 16 on Triple Tigers Records, a Sony Music imprint – his first album on the label. The project was produced by Frank Rogers (McCreery’s See You Tonight, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker), Derek Wells (guitarist for Kenny Chesney, Brett Eldridge, Little Big Town), and Aaron Eshuis (producer for Ryan Hurd, songwriter for A Thousand Horses, Joe Nichols, Cole Swindell).

Autographed copies of Seasons Change bundled with exclusive merchandise options will be available for pre-order at ScottyMcCreery.com beginning Wednesday, December 20. The official online retail stores’ pre-order, including iTunes and Amazon, will begin on January 12, 2018.

In the five years since he released his last album, the now-24-year-old, McCreery, grew up, built a life outside the spotlight, left college, performed around the world, lost one record deal and gained another, released a book, moved to Nashville, and more. In September, he proposed to his long-time girlfriend Gabi Dugal in the mountains of North Carolina. All of these experiences serve as the foundation of Seasons Change.

“In the last five years, I have grown from a teenager to a man, moved out on my own, lost my grandfather, proposed to the love of my life, and learned more about myself than I could have imagined,” said McCreery. “This all shows up in the 11 songs on Seasons Change, and I cannot wait to share this music with my fans after such a long time between releases.”

“For the first time, I wrote all the songs on my album,” McCreery continued. “It’s kind of my journal of the last few years: the ups and the downs. Whenever I think things are not going well, I’ve learned to just wait it out because the seasons change. If you want to know who I am and where I’m at right now, listen to this album. I feel like I’m having a conversation with everyone that listens. It’s that personal.”

Seasons Change features songs spotlighting his love for his fiancée (including one song written a week before he proposed), his adventures with his lifelong friends, his reflections on life, and coming to terms with the man he has become. The album marks a first for McCreery, as it’s the first time he’s co-written all the songs on an album. Among his co-writers are Jessi Alexander (Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton), Monty Criswell (Eric Church, Darius Rucker, George Strait), Jason Gantt (Brooks & Dunn, Faith Hill, Alison Krauss, Tim McGraw), David Lee Murphy (Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton) and more.

PEOPLE.COM TO DEBUT SCOTTY McCREERY’S MUSIC VIDEO FOR “FIVE MORE MINUTES” ON JUNE 12

Now that he has released his emotional and reflective single “Five More Minutes,” the question that country entertainer Scotty McCreery is asked most often these days is “When is the video coming out?” The wait is just about over as People.com will debut the highly anticipated music video on Monday, June 12 at 10:00 am ET (9:00 am CT). The video was directed and produced by cinematographer Jeff Ray.

McCreery wrote “Five More Minutes” with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell two weeks after his paternal grandfather died. The song reflects upon some of the events and people with whom he’d like to spend five more minutes, and the music video elevates that concept even higher by showcasing never before seen home video footage of McCreery’s early life intercut with scenes of the 23-year-old singer today as he performs the song to camera. The video is dedicated to both of his grandfathers and each are featured in the home video footage. Another highlight from the video is experiencing McCreery and his longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal’s relationship growing from their early grade school photos to their high school prom night to a recent helicopter ride while visiting Hawaii.

“I’ve said before that ‘Five More Minutes’ is my favorite song I’ve ever written, and I think this music video may be my favorite video yet,” said McCreery. “This was the first time I had seen a lot of this home video footage. Having the chance to see both of my grandfathers again and to relive some of the experiences from my younger days brought both tears and smiles to my face. Just like the song, it brings back so many great memories. Jeff Ray did an incredible job of honing in on so many special moments from nearly 50 hours of home video footage. I’m very proud to share this with everyone.”

Since its release on May 5 when it quickly became the No. 2 country single and No. 9 all-genre single charted on iTunes, “Five More Minutes” has currently received more than 2 million streams on Spotify. It is currently at No. 50 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, after being named the “Hot Shot Debut” last week. On the day of release, legendary Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis tweeted McCreery about “Five More Minutes,” saying that “this is storytelling and country music at its best.” McCreery performed the song for the first time live on national television on “FOX & Friends’ All-American Summer Concert Series” last Friday, June 2. A live video of the ACM, BMI and CMT Award winner performing the song on the Grand Ole Opry has received nearly 3 million views on the Opry’s YouTube channel. Last Saturday’s premiere of “CMC Songs & Stories: Scotty McCreery” on Australia’s Country Music Channel (CMC), which centered around an acoustic performance of “Five More Minutes,” was the network’s most watched broadcast of the weekend. The song, which has become a staple in McCreery’s concerts over the last year, continues to receive a standing ovation every time it is performed live.

McCreery made history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart. He has gone on to see all three of his albums debut at No. 1 on a Billboard album chart, with current sales nearing 3 million copies. He’s earned one Gold single and three Platinum singles and achieved two Top Ten hits with “Feelin’ It” and “See You Tonight.” The latter song earned McCreery both his first BMI Award for writing one of the Top 50 Country Songs of 2015 and his first Music Row No. 1 Challenge Coin. He was named the ACM New Artist of the Year Award in 2011, won the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“The Trouble with Girls”) in 2012; and American Country Awards for new Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013. In 2016, McCreery released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream. For more information and his current tour schedule, visit www.ScottyMcCreery.com.
