VIDEO REWIND: BRAD PAISLEY'S EMOTIONAL ACCEPTANCE SPEECH FOR THE 2010 CMA ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Remember hearing Brad Paisley when he won the 2010 CMA Entertainer of the Year award and mentioned being a "turtle on a fence post" in his very emotional acceptance speech? Here's the original quote to refresh your memory -

"My hero Little Jimmy Dickens has a saying, that is if you see a turtle on a fencepost, it had help getting up there and I feel just like the turtle on the fence post at this point"

From all of us:

Brad, thank you for acknowledging those that gave you that extra boost that you needed to reach the top of that post. We know you mean it, not just from the speech, but from the obvious heart you put into it and the hard work that goes into every song you write, every note you sing, every guitar string you break and every show you perform. We thank you for giving us a goal to help you reach for and we're glad you reached it and are that "turtle on the fence post."

Ryan Bingham had a pretty big year, great for a virtually unknown songwriter. He won an Oscar for his song, "The Weary Kind" from one of the best movies of the year, "Crazy Heart", with Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhall.  Ryan has also received his first Grammy nomination for "The Weary Kind" in the category "Best Song Written for Motion Picture, TV, or Visual Media". The Grammys will be held on February 13, 2011. Congratulations Ryan!
