WADE HAYES VISITS 'TASTE OF COUNTRY NIGHTS' RADIO

Attached Photo: Taste of Country Nights Radio host Sam Alex (l.) and Wade Hayes (r.)

PRESS RELEASE

(Nashville, Tennessee...) -  Wade Hayes stopped by "Taste of Country Nights" recently to chat with host Sam Alex about his new single and album, Go Live Your Life.

The Go Live Your Life campaign, named after Wade's new single and album, is a collaboration between himself, Genentech and the Colon Cancer Alliance Blue Note Fund. The campaign raises awareness and funds services for people with advanced colorectal cancer. For every download of Wade's "Go Live Your Life" single on iTunes, Genentech will donate $1.00 (up to $50,000) to the Colon Cancer Alliance Blue Note Fund.

Wade wrote or co-wrote nine of the 11 songs on Go Live Your Life, and he produced the album with Dave McAfee. Ray Scott and George Teren wrote "If The Sun Comes Up," and Wade co-wrote seven of the songs with the likes of Jeff Bates, Kenny Beard, Paul Bogart, Terri Jo Box, Ward Davis, Steve Mandile, Bobby Pinson and Roger Springer. Lil Dominiak executive produced the album, which will be released on conabar records.

In December of 2011, at age 42, Wade was diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer. Successful surgery and chemotherapy removed the cancer. A year later, Wade was devastated to learn the cancer had returned. He received additional treatments, and today he has no evidence of disease.

Colon cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in men and women combined in the US. The American Cancer Society estimates that 93,090 people will be diagnosed in 2015 and that 49,700 will die from colon cancer in the United States. Early detection is vital -- over 80% of all cases of colon cancer can be prevented with recommended screening. Despite its high incidence, colon cancer is one of the most detectable and, if found early enough, most treatable forms of cancer. If you are 50 or older, or younger than 50 and have symptoms or a family history, getting a screening test for colon cancer could save your life.

SINGLE REVIEW: "GO LIVE YOUR LIFE" - WADE HAYES

SINGLE: "Go Live Your Life"
ARTIST: Wade Hayes
REVIEWER: Jennifer Smith

If there were four words that couldn't ring any more true, the title of Wade Hayes' new single and CD, "Go Live Your Life", pretty much says it all. There's no being cliche about it and no exaggeration, simply truth ... a truth that Wade can personally give testimony to, having battled Stage IV colon cancer in 2011, being declared cancer free in 2012 only to have a recurrence in 2013. When it comes to living your life, there is no one that knows the truth in those words more than Wade.

The CD contains 10 tracks, 9 of which were penned by Hayes during his illness. You won't find a CD or a song more personal than "Go Live Your Life". With his rich familiar baritone twang and obvious emotion, this song will leave a lasting impression on the listener and hopefully the inspiration to stop simply existing and start living. The songs reinforces the obvious fact that so many of us choose to ignore or simply forget - life isn't a dress rehearsal, it's your final act.

Go live your life
Go chase your dreams
We've got no way of knowing what tomorrow brings
Swing for the fence
Take that chance
Don't wake up one day to see it's passed you by
Go live your life

Thank you to Wade Hayes for the reminder. Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to stop writing and time for me to get living.

"Go Live Your Life" is now available for digital download on iTunes with the physical CD available by March 12, 2015. Join Wade in celebrating ‪#‎ColonCancer Awareness Month by checking out the new album and behind-the-scenes footage at GoLiveYourLife.com. Genentech will donate $1 (up to $50k) to Colon Cancer Alliance's Blue Note Fund for every iTunes download. Proceeds will support advanced colorectal cancer patients who are currently in treatment.

WADE HAYES TO RELEASE FIRST ALBUM IN FIVE YEARS GO LIVE YOUR LIFE CD and SINGLE TO HIT MARCH 3, 2015

$1 Will Be Donated For Every Download To Help People With Cancer

(Nashville, Tennessee...) - Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Wade Hayes had a brush with death less than four years ago that gave him a new outlook on life and a renewed enthusiasm to share his music with the masses. Throughout his colon cancer treatment and recovery, he continued to write and perform as much as he was physically able. The result is a moving collection of songs called Go Live Your Life that relate to where he is, where he's been, and where he's going, and the album and title cut single will be released March 3, 2015 to coincide with Colon Cancer Awareness Month. For more information about the campaign, please visit GoLiveYourLife.com.

"I'm very fortunate getting to this next step," said Wade about writing and recording Go Live Your Life. "After getting through the years of ill health and bad luck, I'm kind of laser focused right now. Getting sick has changed me immensely. It's as if I'm looking through different eyeballs now. I appreciate everything so much more. I realize how much I took for granted."

In December of 2011, at age 42, Wade was diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer. Successful surgery and chemotherapy removed the cancer. A year later, Wade was devastated to learn the cancer had returned. He received additional treatments, and today he has no evidence of disease.

For every download of the "Go Live Your Life" song on iTunes, Genentech will donate $1 (up to $50,000) to the Colon Cancer Alliance Blue Note Fund, a non-profit that supports people with advanced colorectal cancer.

Wade will be involving his fans in the upcoming music video for the song "Go Live Your Life." He has asked fans to send photos of themselves, if they are cancer survivors, or of special survivor friends or family.

"It's wonderful that I'm alive today, and I know I'm not the only one," said Wade on his Facebook page. "There are thousands of people just like me. This disease has hit home for so many of us. As a part of the video, I want to include photos of my friends and fans who have also walked this road."
