SINGER-SONGWRITER HANNAH BETHEL RELEASES DRIVING UP-TEMPO SINGLE, "GODSPEED, LOS ANGELES"

Singer-songwriter, Hannah Bethel, has released the driving, up-tempo single, “Godspeed, Los Angeles.” The track was premiered earlier this week by The Amp. Listen at this link and find it at your favorite digital retailers.

Early support from editorial and high-profile playlists include Amazon Music / Fresh Folk & Americana, Spotify / New Music Nashville, and CMT Next Women of Country.

“Godspeed, Los Angeles” is the second single from Bethel’s forthcoming EP, ‘Until the Sun Comes Back Around,’ set to release on March 25. Her previous single, “Bad News Baby,” was released in late January and garnered attention from Billboard and The Boot, and added to Americana, country, and folk editorial playlists at Amazon Music, Spotify and Tidal, in addition to CMT Next Women of Country, Ditty TV, and Women of Americana playlists, among dozens of others.

“Godspeed, Los Angeles,” written by Bethel, tells the story of the navigation of relationships and the realization when it’s time to separate yourself from that relationship. “I don’t think there is enough space given for men when their confidence falters, when their road becomes unclear and their dreams change,” Bethel says. “I was trying to date a friend who was so wrapped up in his journey that he didn’t have space for anyone else. And that’s okay. I saw it for what it was, and I decided to let it go, with so much love,” she says of the inspiration behind the single.

“When you get to the great wide open
When the desert meets the sea
I hope you finally find the space to breathe
I hope angels dance around you
And you feel the sweetest peace
We know you can’t have it sleeping next to me

Oh, it’s like you’re wound so tight
You ain’t ever coming undone
But in your darkest night
You can’t ever outrun
The beat of your heart and all your regrets
So I hope you fight to the death for your happiness
Godspeed, oh, Los Angeles”

“Godspeed, Los Angeles” was produced by Tim Craven (The Brethren/Boys Club for Girls) and mixed by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer, Brandon Bell (Brandi Carlile/The Highwomen/Miranda Lambert). The track features Bethel on acoustic guitar and vocals, backed by an all-star band, including Sadler Vaden on electric guitar (Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit/Morgan Wade), Billy Justineau on synth and B3 (Brothers Osborne/Eric
Church), Jabe Beyer on acoustic guitar (Natalie Hemby/Lucie Silvas), Megan Jane on drums (Erin Enderlin/Molly Tuttle), Peter Sternberg on bass (Brothers Osborne), Tim Craven on electric guitar, percussion, programming loops, and Haley Arnott on harmonies and backing vocals.

Bethel has made waves across multiple formats with her emotionally powerful vocals and soul-baring writing style, earning her a first-place win in the Americana category of the 2019 International Songwriting Competition and as a current finalist for “Best Female Vocalist” (all genres) at this year’s Appalachian Arts + Entertainment Awards.

She is also a proud Featured Artist endorsee of Furch, Gretsch and Taylor Guitars.

HANNAH BETHEL RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND LYRIC VIDEO "MEMPHIS"

Stream and purchase "Memphis" Here

Americana/country singer-songwriter Hannah Bethel has released her latest single and lyric video, "Memphis." The video was premiered this week by Americana Highways and can also be viewed on YouTube here

"Memphis" was written by Bethel, her sister Wynter Bethel, and Gabe Burdulis. The single was produced by the team of Brad Hill (Maren Morris/Brothers Osborne) and Lalo Guzman. The psychedelic-inspired lyric video was created by Iris Dutour.

The fun, rocking, mid-tempo opens with a slide guitar wailing over a scratch beatbox groove that sets the stage for Bethel's tale of a couple whose relationship has hit a dull spot and the solution is a spur of the moment idea to break away for a road trip adventure to Memphis.

"Maybe we should go to Memphis

Let's talk about it

Let's get a little bit lost and we'll know when we've found it

We all need a little Graceland

Sunshine and a second chance

Sip some Tennessee whiskey 'til we understand

We've got a love that's endless

Maybe we're just restless

And maybe we should go to Memphis"

As the intensity of the song builds it is layered with B3 organ and a gospel-flavored vocal choir which further adds to its cool Delta vibe. With nods to the soul stylings of Otis Redding, Elvis's Graceland and the Mississippi River, the music track and visual lyrics provide a perfect showcase for Bethel's powerful vocals.

"I recorded 'Memphis' a while back," Bethel says. "I've been holding on to it waiting for the right time to release it. It's a song about getting back into a space of joy and fun, living in the moment and appreciating it. I feel like this is definitely the time for this song."

"Memphis" is the follow up to Bethel's critically acclaimed single and music video, "The House is on Fire," which was strongly embraced by Americana and country outlets, including Ditty TV, CMT, Americana Highways, The Alternate Root and others. The song also won first place in the 2019 Americana category of the International Songwriting Competition.

Bethel is also expanding her creative horizons and debuts her considerable acting skills in the new music video "Wreck Me" by Jamie O'Neal, where she co-stars along with her real-life boyfriend Chris Probasco in the sultry and steamy video which premiered this week on CMT.com. Bethel co-wrote the song with O'Neal and Rachele Lynae.

During the pandemic, Bethel has maintained a busy livestream performance schedule on the social media platforms of American Songwriter, The Boot, Americana Highways, CenterStage Magazine, and Women of Americana, as well as her own online outlets. She was recently featured on on the bill of the Yadaloo Music and Arts Virtual Festival (Arkansas' #1 music festival) alongside Erin Enderlin, Texas Hill, Craig Campbell and many others.

INDEPENDENT ARTIST HANNAH BETHEL RELEASES "RHINESTONE RODEO" TO RADIO AS SHE WRAPS FIRST LEG OF NATIONAL TOUR

Demand for Airplay Increases as Bethel Energizes Fanbase with Powerful Concert Performances and Emotionally Charged Music Video

"Hannah Bethel is equal parts vulnerability and strength, which makes her a force to be reckoned with in country music. The seemingly simplistic melody of her new song, 'Rhinestone Rodeo,' only enhances the more complicated and emotional ties that come when pursuing a risky chase, as the storyline suggests. With three female powerhouse writers (Bethel being one) behind the ballad, the slowly disappearing art of eloquently painting a detailed picture reemerges as a must in today's listening world. Not to mention the attraction of Bethel's effortless and easy listening vocals. Look this girl up---she is a game changer!" - Lindsey Sipe, The Country Note

Independent Country/Americana recording star Hannah Bethel releases "Rhinestone Rodeo" to radio today. Increased demand from programmers for the single comes hot on the heels of wrapping the first 16-show leg of her national tour - and as the emotional and heart-tugging music video for "Rhinestone Rodeo' gathers steam at CMT Music and The Country Network.

"Rhinestone Radio" is available to Country and Americana broadcasters at CDX Nashville and fans can listen to the single here.

Critical acclaim and fan reaction for "Rhinestone Rodeo" has been very strong since the music video was recently premiered by both Billboard and CMT Music. Billboard stated "Bethel's ethereal vocals and universal storytelling are at the heart of her new song 'Rhinestone Rodeo,' a tale about chasing her dreams and never giving up." CMT extolled that "Bethel exudes some solid country wisdom made famous by Dolly Parton in her latest release 'Rhinestone Rodeo.' Both believe life is sweeter when you have an attitude of gratitude, and each has a knack for turning adversity into works of art." The Boot named "Rhinestone Rodeo" one of 10 New Songs You Need To Hear and it is included on several playlists, including Spotify's CMT Music and CMT Next Women of Country and on Apple Music CMT Next Women of Country.

"I am so excited and grateful for the way that 'Rhinestone Rodeo' has been received so far," says Bethel. "I am thrilled to be sharing it with my friends at radio!"

Bethel's "Rhinestone Rodeo Tour" has won her rave reviews to date as she has crisscrossed America performing in The Great Smoky Mountains, New York City, Connecticut, Colorado, Kentucky, and multiple concerts in Alaska and in her hometown of Nashville. From solo acoustic performances at glamping destination Under Canvas and New York City's famed Rockwood Music Hall, to full band shows at influential Indie Rock, Americana and Country clubs including The Basement, 3rd & Lindsley and The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, to Tidball's in Bowling Green (once described by David Fricke in Rolling Stone magazine as the city's "long-running equivalent to CBGB," the New York City music club where groups like the Ramones, Blondie and Talking Heads got their start), and festival shows on the coast of Valdez, Bethel is winning the hearts of fans across multiple genres and varied musical tastes. She also garnered glowing quotes from several talent buyers on the tour that speak volumes about her live performances:

"You can hear her love and desire to perform in each note sang by her soothing but powerful voice. On her first show with us, Hannah joined a lineup that boasted of some the most respected female artists of the Nashville and South Central Kentucky region. She held her own and along with her three-piece band behind her, demanded the crowd's attention instantly. We hope to make the legendary Tidball's a home for Hannah and a gateway to the North for her future tours."
- Brian Jarvis, owner, Tidballs, Bowling Green, KY

"We were pleased to launch our Acoustic Campfire Music Series with Hannah Bethel as our first artist at our Great Smoky Mountains location this summer. Hannah's warm and friendly personality and intimate yet powerful performances strongly connected with our guests."
- May Lilley, VP Marketing for Under Canvas

"Hannah's confidence, exuberance and sheer musicality on stage are indicative of an artist who has put in the time required for her craft. She provides a shining example to those thinking about delving into a career in music. Hannah Bethel is badass."
- Mike Grimes, co-owner, The Basement, The Basement East, Nashville, TN

"Everyone loved Hannah and her band! Her shows were fantastic."
- Laurine Regan, Events & Marketing Coordinator, City of Valdez, Alaska

Between tour dates Bethel also made multiple appearances on WSM 650 AM Radio, and has been featured by The Country Note, Nashville Access, Think Country, NY Country Swag and others.
