GHOSTTUNES INTRODUCES EXCLUSIVE "CHECK YOUR HEADLIGHTS" BUNDLE FROM MONTGOMERY GENTRY FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH

Bundle Launches ‘GhostTunes GivesBack’ Program, Supporting Artists' Charitable Efforts

PRESS RELEASE

Nashville, Tenn., October 8, 2014 – GhostTunes, a new digital music platform, today announced an exclusive bundle offered by country duo Montgomery Gentry to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. The $19.99 bundle includes the duo’s new hit single, “Headlights,” and a “Check Your Headlights” t-shirt. All the profits from the bundle sales will be donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, an American Cancer Society initiative.

“As someone lucky to be both a husband and father to two incredible girls, I believe it’s so important to raise awareness about breast cancer education and raise funds to help find a cure,” shared Troy Gentry.

“Given my own personal battle with cancer and our blessed lives as husbands and fathers, Troy and I are always looking for ways to give back,” stated Eddie Montgomery. “We hope our fans will have fun with this exclusive ‘Check Your Headlights’ bundle on GhostTunes and help make a difference.”

Since 1999, country music super-duo Montgomery Gentry has released seven studio albums that include hit songs such as “If You Ever Stop Loving Me”, “Something to Be Proud Of” and “Roll with Me.” In November 2010, Montgomery announced he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer; the cancer was removed one month later and he has been cancer-free ever since.

Montgomery Gentry is celebrating the release of their brand new single, “Headlights.” The duo’s first new music since 2011, the track is a late-night, back-road party anthem, written by hit songwriters Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero and Tony Martin. The song is the lead single from their upcoming album, produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Thomas Rhett, ABC's “Nashville”) and set to release in early 2015 on Blaster Records.

“We’re honored to partner with Montgomery Gentry to leverage the GhostTunes music platform that invites artists to creatively bundle their music any way they dream – combined with multiple albums, merchandise, concert tickets or anything at all,” said Randy Bernard, CEO of GhostTunes. “The new Montgomery Gentry ‘Check Your Headlights’ charity bundle also introduces the ‘GhostTunes GivesBack’ philanthropic program that uses the power of music to make the world a better place.”

The GhostTunes team believes in the ability of music to change lives, and created the GhostTunes GivesBack program for any artist who wants to leverage their ability to educate and raise awareness for their own personal passions and missions. The program will be partnering with artists on a regular basis to introduce additional bundles that use music to make movements that can change the world.

GhostTunes focuses on providing the best music experience for both artists and the fans who love their music. Fans are able to listen to their music immediately upon purchase from the GhostTunes platform, without having to download the content to their device. Fans also can download their purchased content to play with the audio player of their choice on a phone, tablet or computer.

Montgomery Gentry’s newest single “Headlights” is a high-octane return to country music.  Radio silence has been Montgomery Gentry’s sound for the past couple years, so it’s nice to see them return to country music.  “Headlights” is the title track off of their latest album, due out Spring 2015.

Previously known for a string of hits such as “Back When I Knew It All,” “Hell Yeah” and “If You Ever Stopped Lovin’ Me,” this most recent single of Montgomery Gentry’s is sure to follow suit. Heavy on the electric guitar without sacrificing the vocals, Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery manage to deliver a night of partying, directions included.  All you have to do is “follow those headlights.”  A pre-game of a song if ever I’ve heard one, this song will get you excited for the night and party ahead.  Just make sure not to pre-game too hard before you “take it to the riverside” because this one’s going to last until you see sun.  A night full of music cranked up and beer drank down with everyone reveling in the heat, this surely sounds like a night that’s wonderfully common and all too memorable.  The party hardy and rock harder vibe has never been absent from the duo’s music and here it’s even further amplified.  A summertime anthem making its debut at the start of fall, this one’ll have to be played indoors until we again reach sweet summertime.

Available For Fans to Download Starting September 2nd

PRESS RELEASE

Nashville, TN (August 18, 2014) – Montgomery Gentry continues to fire up playlists with the release of their brand new single, “Headlights,” impacting country radio today and scoring 2nd most added with over 40 stations on board!  The super duo shines bright on their first new music since 2011, with a late night, back road party anthem, written by hit tunesmiths Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero, and Tony Martin and produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Thomas Rhett, ABC's “Nashville”).  “Headlights” will be available for fans to download digitally on September 2nd.  Their debut album with innovative and independent new label partner, Blaster Records, is set to release in early 2015.

The duo recently took fans behind the scenes of a live performance in an action-packed teaser for, ‘Headlights.’ The clip premiered exclusively on Taste of Country late last week.

Early praise for the song includes:

"Before there was Bro Country, there was Montgomery Gentry.  ‘Headlights’ is Eddie and Troy at their best!’  - Kerry Wolfe, WMIL/Milwaukee

“Montgomery Gentry have been bringing hits to country radio before bro country became cool. ‘Headlights' is a solid modern country song perfect for radio today!” - Tim Roberts, WYCD/Detroit

“…A new take on the classic feel of Montgomery Gentry. Eddie and Troy know how to use their very distinctive vocals perfectly to offset one another while they also use “Headlights” to show their ability to unapologetically move their signature sound forward.”– One Stop Country

“Montgomery Gentry began delivering Hell raisin', back road, party down, good time songs when Florida Georgia Line…were still middle schoolers. With "Headlights," the talented duo from Kentucky has retained their sound, attitude and edge. They also still know a good party…”- All Access/RJ Curtis
