ANNIE BOSKO FINDS PEACE ON “HIGHER GROUND” WITH GRAMMY AWARD WINNER VINCE GILL

Bosko Set for Festival Performances Including Tortuga Music Festival,
Stagecoach, CMA Fest & Faster Horses Festival

After over a decade in the Nashville grind, a series of failed deals and a vocal cord injury, the pandemic prompted singer/songwriter Annie Bosko to move back home to California. In that moment, she made a promise to herself: she would return to Music City when she got a paying gig. In 2022 she was offered a booking and proudly came back to Nashville.

Performing solo, guitar in hand, she played a private event where, unbeknownst to her, GRAMMY award winner Vince Gill was in attendance. He was so impressed by her vocal prowess that he offered to collaborate on a song with her, giving her his number for when the right one came along.

That show — and his offer of support — reignited her belief in herself to pursue music with full-force and record her first album.

Bosko wrote “Higher Ground” with Gill’s voice in mind, and the result is a timeless collaboration.

“Sometimes it takes someone else believing in you to make you believe in yourself. I hope this message provides hope for those who are navigating tough times, like it did for me,” adds Bosko.

Written by Bosko with Tommy Sims, the message of “Higher Ground” is especially poignant this Easter weekend leading into Passover: a time of reflection and rebirth.

These times are heavy
And oh so dark
My world is breaking apart
Lord, won’t you lift me
I’m falling down
To Your higher ground

This road keeps stretching
It’s been awhile
I can’t keep walking one more mile
You can see clearly show me now
To Your higher ground

Higher ground above all the madness
Higher ground safe from the sadness
When I’m weary let my soul be found

On higher ground

“Higher Ground” follows her self-titled EP featuring five songs including lead single “Neon Baby,” which found Bosko making her late night debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this year.

Having recently made her international debut at C2C: Country to Country in Glasgow with a solo acoustic set to a sold-out arena, Bosko will perform on festival stages across the U.S. this spring and summer, including Tortuga Music Festival, Stagecoach, CMA Fest, Country Jam, Faster Horses and Watershed Festival.
