CRAIG CAMPBELL AND DAUGHTERS RELEASE CHRISTMAS CLASSIC "SANTA BABY"

Craig Campbell is wrapping up his most ambitious music year ever with the release of a beautiful rendition of the holiday classic “Santa Baby” today. Craig’s talented daughters Preslee and Kinni take the lead on vocals with their dad adding harmony. Older sister Preslee also recorded Kinni’s vocals, opening a new chapter for the creative 15-year-old. The song is available today HERE on Grindstone Recordings.

“It’s always so much fun getting my two girls in the studio,” said Craig. “It was even more so watching Preslee run the controls and recording Kinni in her own bedroom! Their version of ‘Santa Baby’ will always be super special.”

Preslee added, “’Santa Baby’ is one of my favorite Christmas songs ever! I loved being able to record myself and my sister in my own studio on a song that we both love.”

Kinni summarized, “I am always a little nervous recording vocals but being in my sister’s bedroom and working with her made it super easy and fun!”

Craig dug deep into his catalog of songs recorded during two label deals and gems he cut for his own label, when he released The Lost Files: Exhibit A in February. Continuing the process, he unearthed another 17 songs for The Lost Files: Exhibit B in August. The first single released from Exhibit B is “Summer Soundtrack,” a perfect, sultry season-ender written by Craig with Phil O’Donnell and Wade Kirby and produced by Mickey Jack Cones.

Fans can catch Craig and his band performing at Gilley’s at the Treasure Island Resort in Las Vegas as part of the National Finals Rodeo on December 7 and 8. More information HERE.

BRIT TAYLOR & MIKE AND THE MOONPIES RELEASE "LONELY ON CHRISTMAS"

The Christmas season takes on a whole new feeling when Texas honky-tonk meets Kentucky country in “Lonely on Christmas,” an ode to the lonely that musically mingles Brit Taylor’s sultry melancholy whisper with the raspy angst of Mike and the Moonpies. The song is available now on all streaming platforms.

Written by hit songwriter Jason White and produced by Taylor and Adam Chaffins, “Lonely” is a Christmas tune that has all the vibes of a country classic; yet, it is as new as today and as familiar as yesterday. In a season of perpetual good cheer, Taylor and Mike and the Moonpies sympathize with the lonely while urging empathy because “that’s the reason for the season after all.”
Listen here.

With its simple holiday-style melody, in stark contrast to the despair of the lyrics, the contrasting delivery of Taylor and Mike and the Moonpies leaves the listener with a song that is both tormented and compassionate.

“When Jason sent this song over, I just knew I had to record it,” Taylor said. “Singing ‘Lonely on Christmas’ as a duet gave this song a whole other meaning. I discovered Mike and the Moonpies in 2020 and fell in love with their music. The polarity of our vocal styles just fits the song and the mood. It was a perfect complement.”

"When Brit [Taylor] calls, I’ll answer every time," adds Mike. "I rolled into my studio that night to add our Moonpies swagger to this lonesome Christmas collaboration."

During the joy of the season and the despair of loneliness, the poignant “ain’t no lonely like lonely on Christmas” will have you reaching for a tissue and a glass of bourbon.

OUR NEW YEARS WISH TO YOU

It's a new year and you can almost smell the resolutions in the air. It's another year gone by and another chance to start fresh, wipe your slate clean. It's a year for redemption and progress. It's another year to let things go, to forgive and to move forward. It's also time to appreciate each other, including every person you've encountered through your life thus far. They've all taught you something - to live, to love, to be the kind of person you want to be or to show you the kind of person you don't want to be. Good or bad, they're all life lessons. The world may not be a kind place right now, but that doesn't mean that you can't be. This year, be kinder, be more caring, be gentler, be stronger, be more patient, more tolerant and more grateful. Be less judgemental, less thoughtless and more thoughtful, less focused on the things that really don't matter in the big picture and more focused on what you can do to improve things instead of taking away from them.

2015 is going to be a big year for new artists, a new year for country music and we promise to continue to support them both and to support the fans that make them great. We hope that you will appreciate the music we bring to you and help us support those artists as well. We hope that you will bring new artists to our attention that we may not have heard of and that we can all come together and share the power of music and get more of it heard than what's being heard now.

This year, include a resolution to make a difference in someones life whether it be through music, volunteering your time, giving a dollar to a homeless person without questioning what the dollar will be used for, remember to say thank you not just for the big things but the smallest act of kindness, or even just smile at a stranger on the street instead of hurrying by and if you're really feeling kind, add a quick verbal "hello". One small act of kindness has the ability to make a huge difference in a life or just somebody's day. It might take their mind off of something that's affected them, even if only for a minute. We all have time (you obviously have free time because you're reading this), it doesn't cost a dime to make someone smile. I wish everyone a very happy New Year and hope that someone makes you smile and does something for you that improves your outlook on your current situation.

There is a song by the legendary Oak Ridge Boys that brings me the feeling of being humbled when I need it and makes me ask myself - "Did I Make a Difference?". Read the lyrics, listen to the song and I bet you ask yourself that same question. Well, what's your answer? In 2015, be a difference for someone, make their lives just a little better in some way.

I'm caught up in the push and shove
The daily grind, burning time, spinning wheels
I wonder what I'm doing here
Day to day. year to year, standing still

Somewhere there's a teacher with a heart that never quits
Staying after school to help some inner city kids
A mother who's a volunteer, a soldier in the fight
I can't help but ask myself when I lay down at night

Did I make a difference in somebody's life?
What hurts did I heal? What wrongs did I right?
Did I raise my voice in defense of the truth?
Did I lend my hand to the destitute?
When my race Is run, when my song is sung
Will I have to wonder, did I make a difference?
Did I make a difference?

I've been, working hard to make a living
And forgetting what true living is
Taking more than giving, something's missing
Lord, how long can I go on like this?

There's a lonely old man down the street
And I should be ashamed
I've never been to see him, I don't even know his name
There's kids without their supper in my own neighborhood
Will I look back someday and say that I did all I could?

Did I make a difference in somebody's life?
What hurts did I heal? What wrongs did I right?
Did I raise my voice in defense of the truth?
Did I lend my hand to the destitute?
When my race is run, when my song is sung
Will I have to wonder, did I make a difference?
Did I make a difference?

Happy New Year to all of you, new friends and old. We appreciate every one of you and thank you for being our "lessons" in 2014. I think Josh Pruno sums it up in his version of "Same Old Lang Syne". "

"We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to time
 Reliving in our eloquence
 Another Old Lang Syne"

Love,
Jenn, "The Johns", Anthony and Alyse

This year’s tour will play 28 shows in 23 cities across 11 states.  It features 40 minutes of hits followed by a full production, 75 minute Christmas show that covers every aspect of this annual celebration from romance to presents, cookies and trees to Santa Claus, and the rocking chair conversations that are loved by all. THIS YEAR, GIVE THE GIFT THAT GIVES BACK

It's that time of year, the time to choose gifts for those you love. What better gift than the gift that gives back, music? Consider music from new artists this year as well as those artists who, while not on mainstream radio, have been putting out good music and selling out crowds for year. Keep the tradition and give someone the music that means the most to you and when you give it, tell them why it means so much to you and why you chose them to share it with. Music makes a difference.

http://www.laurenalainaofficial.com

Christmas will come early this year for Lauren Alaina fans, who will be able to stuff their stockings with her version of the holiday classic, “Grown Up Christmas List” on December 10th. The digital track, which was produced by Nathan Chapman, is being released on iTunes in conjunction with the 26th anniversary of the Special Olympics’ ‘A Very Special Christmas®’ holiday music series.

Since 1987, the ‘A Very Special Christmas’ album series has changed lives through generating over $116 million in royalties in direct support of Special Olympics programs, thanks to the generosity of top internationally acclaimed recording artists. U2, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Madonna, Sting, Bon Jovi, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Sheryl Crow, Mary J. Blige, No Doubt, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, are among the stars that have contributed tracks to previous albums over the years. To learn more, visit http://www.averyspecialchristmas.org/.

Alaina has been very involved with the Special Olympics organization since she started with her local hometown chapter at just 11 years old. She is now an Ambassador for the cause and spent a week in PyeongChang, South Korea last year to participate in the Special Olympics Winter Games.

“Growing up, I was very close with a cousin who had an intellectual disability, and it upset me when people all around me treated him differently,” said Alaina. “I feel blessed that I’m able to be so involved with a cause dear to my heart. Not only am I able to record one of my all-time favorite holiday songs for a great cause, but year-round, I’m able to visit schools across the country and talk to kids about creating acceptance and respect for all kids – regardless of any disability.”

Lauren will perform “Grown Up Christmas List” as a part of the first holiday edition of CMT’s “Live @ CMT” series. The program, which launches December 2nd on CMT.com, will also feature performances of some of Lauren’s favorite Christmas songs – “O Holy Night,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Silent Night.” In addition, her performance of “Grown Up Christmas List” will air as a holiday music video, which will premiere on CMT and CMT Pure on December 9th.

(Nashville, Tenn. – November 26, 2013) – Country artist Amber Hayes has released a special holiday track, called “Uh Oh, Looks Like Snow.” The song is currently available as a free download for fans through Hayes’ website and to newsletter subscribers.

The fun wintertime tune tells the story of a girl who wishes for a snowstorm so she can stay in and cuddle with her loved one. The upbeat track was co-written by Hayes and Bill DiLuigi.

“This time of year is all about giving back,” said Hayes. “My fans have been so supportive, and without them, I would not be able to make a career doing what I love. I want to give back to my fans with this song. Hopefully, it will put a smile on their face.”

This holiday season, fans can also see Amber Hayes in the major motion film “Cowgirls N' Angels,” which is scheduled to air on the Starz network starting Dec. 4. The movie features three of Hayes’ songs, including her 2010 Top 40 Music Row single, “C’mon,” which can be heard in the “Cowgirls N’ Angels” preview trailer here. Hayes plays a honky tonk singer in the film and performs the song as part of a prominent line dancing scene. Also included is “Always There For Me,” a previously unreleased duet with Lonestar front man Richie McDonald, who has a cameo as her father in the same scene. “Right As Rain” is the third Hayes track featured in the film. All three songs are included on the official “Cowgirls N’ Angels” soundtrack, available on iTunes or Amazon.com. To see when “Cowgirls N’ Angels” will air in your area, click here.
The Timothy Armstrong-directed “Cowgirls N’ Angels” stars Oscar-nominated actor James Cromwell (“Babe,” “L.A. Confidential,” “The Green Mile,” “The Artist”) Bailee Madison (“Bridge To Terabithia,” “Brothers,” “Just Go With It”), Alicia Witt (“Friday Night Lights,” “The Mentalist”) Frankie Faison (“The Silence of the Lambs,” “The Wire”) and Jackson Rathbone (“Twilight” films) among others.
“Cowgirls N’ Angels” follows the adventures of young Ida Clayton (Bailee Madison), who joins a group of female rodeo trick riders in a quest to find her real father.

Oklahoma native Amber Hayes first broke onto the Country music scene after her starring role as Kathy Twitty in the 2008 Conway Twitty musical, “It’s Only Make Believe.” Amber released her debut EP C’mon in 2010, landing two Top 40 singles (“C’mon,” “Wait”) on the national MusicRow Country Breakout chart. In October 2012, she released her sophomore album, Any Day Is A Good Day. Shortly following, Billboard’s The 615 named her as “One To Watch in 2013” and she opened up for one of her biggest musical influences, Reba McEntire, in Durant, Oklahoma.
