CHECK OUT NEW ARTIST SKYE CLAIRE - "PAWN SHOP" SINGLE IMPACTS COUNTRY RADIO SEPTEMBER 15

Radio Impact Date: September 15, 2016

Skye Claire’s love for music started at an early age. Born and raised in NYC, but heavily influenced by her family’s Texas roots, her edgy rock viewpoint on country music started to form when she wrote her first song at only twelve years old. She cut her teeth fronting rock bands and playing songwriter nights in her native New York, playing her first full band gig at NYC’s famous Bitter End at just sixteen. Once she graduated from the prestigious Wesleyan University, Skye’s passion for music took a front seat when she threw her guitar in her Jeep and headed for Nashville. Since making the move 4 years ago, Skye’s unique blend of swampy southern rock and bluesy pop have found a permanent home. She wrote every song on her first Nashville release, “For Better or For Worse”, and gained her first cut as a songwriter on Texas artist, John Slaughter, with “Kiss Like Whiskey”. With a new solo project in the works, and her single “Pawn Shop,” hitting the airwaves Fall 2016; she is poised and ready to rock out on stages across the country.

START REQUESTING - IMPACTING COUNTRY RADIO SOON - "WHOLE LOT OF LIVIN' - NORTH 40

Purchase "Whole Lot of Livin'" on iTunes

The follow up to "Tell Me Something Good," "Whole Lot Of Livin" is the newest chapter in the lives of North 40 - a creative collaboration with a tight fusion of sweet and spicy harmonies and songs that hit home with the core country listener.

Though relatively new as a music duo, the friendship of Paige Logan and Heather Looney goes back almost two decades. Both originally moved to Nashville to pursue music careers, and as life, family, children, etc., sidetracked them a bit, they never lost sight of their artistic dreams. Finally, and after realizing that the music they were hearing on the radio was not speaking to them or their demographic – the core country listener – they decided to take matters into their own hands…‘cause life begins at North 40.

The single is available for purchase now on iTunes as a track on their debut cd, "Sing Your Own Song".

JJ LAWHORN RELEASES NEW SINGLE, "GOOD OL' BOYS LIKE US"

Featured on iHeartRadio Live and Clear Channel’s Digital Artist Integration Program
Song Impacts Radio February 17

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, TN (February 11, 2014) – Average Joes Entertainment’s  JJ Lawhorn is releasing his second single, “Good Ol’ Boys Like Us,” from his album, “Original Good Ol’ Boy” which debuted in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Country Album chart. Written by JJ Lawhorn and produced by Jeremy Stover, “Good Ol’ Boys Like Us” is an endearing, real-life song that stresses the value of never-ending friendships.  The song will be available on iTunes February 18 and will impact country radio later this month, followed by the release of the video.  Listen to the song here.

Additionally, starting on February 12, Lawhorn will be featured on Clear Channel’s “iHeartRadio Live with JJ Lawhorn” appearing on all of the Clear Channel country radio station homepages and iHeartRadio platforms.  Lawhorn also returns to Clear Channel's Digital Artist Integration Program this month with “Good Ol’ Boys Like Us,” streaming on 120+ Country Radio Stations and iHeartRadio platforms.

"Good Ol' Boys Like Us" is a true story inspired by the passing of friend that devastated my hometown community a few years back,” commented Lawhorn. “While it has always been special to me, the tune took on a new meaning after my best friend and former drummer died in a tragic motorcycle accident two months ago. There isn't another song that I've ever written that is closer to my heart.  Its message is one of hope; a reminder that we are never alone even after our loved ones are gone.”

Look for the video “Good Ol’ Boys Like Us” to be released soon.

THIS WEEK'S MEDIABASE ADDS

Congratulations to all of the artists making this week's Mediabase Adds list. This week AGAIN was all about the new artists, having more adds than established artists as a whole! People are paying attention to the new music and it's starting to show. Let's keep that trend going! I've started posting the list with both new and established artists so you can see the comparison in numbers.

REMEMBER: An add does NOT guarantee air play, it simply means the station has added the song to their library. Air play is based on demand and sales, so get on the phone/internet/text and start requesting your favorites now. Most major radio stations now allow you to text or email your requests so it's not just making a phone call anymore. If you don't request, don't complain when you don't hear your favorite artist on the radio, plain and simple. These guys need our help, so let's show them we support them and their hard work. Don't depend on their side to do all the promoting if you really love an artist, jump in there and work with them.

Just a side note: The number of new music adds this week shows how much difference your voice makes and that radio is listening. Way to go!
