AARON LEWIS SET TO HOST 3RD ANNUAL "AARON LEWIS AND FRIENDS" BENEFIT CONCERT FEATURING JERROD NIEMANN, CRAIG MORGAN, ERIC PASLAY, AND JARED ASHLEY

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 14, 2013) – It Takes a Community Foundation (ITAC), the charitable 501(c)(3) organization started by multi-Platinum recording artist Aaron Lewis and his wife Vanessa, along with first-time partner KIX 100.9 Pioneer Valley's Country, will host the third annual Aaron Lewis & Friends benefit concert on Friday, June 14, 2013, starting at 7:30 pm at The Mass Mutual Center, located at 1277 Main St in Springfield, Mass.

The night promises to include plenty of surprises and highlights, as Aaron announces friends Jerrod Niemann, Craig Morgan, Eric Paslay and Jared Ashley have joined the all-star lineup. Reserved seating is available for $35 per ticket, and premium VIP tickets are available for $109 per ticket by visiting Ticketmaster.com Proceeds from the event will benefit the ITAC.

Aaron took some time to reflect on what ITAC’s Aaron Lewis & Friends means to him and how it has evolved over time:

It Takes a Community Foundation began when Vanessa and I joined with neighbors to keep the doors of our community school open after state funding was eliminated. It started out as something very personal and close to home but morphed into something bigger. We asked ourselves, ‘If ITAC could make a difference in our little corner of Massachusetts couldn’t we give additional communities a similar leg up in other forgotten areas of rural New England?’”

“We moved to Worthington, Mass. because we wanted our children to grow up and go to school in a community where everyone looks out for everyone else. We had this wonderful school with great energy and small classes, but we were told that we were going to lose all of that, and our kids were going to be bused far way to a distant school. We weren’t going to stand for that,” adds Vanessa Lewis.

Tim Van Epps, CEO of ITAC adds, “ITAC works with local leaders and community organizations with firsthand knowledge of the needs of their communities. We raise funds and support organizations or efforts that strengthen, engage and enrich rural New England communities, improve the lives of children, sustain diminishing public services, and provide assistance to communities in crisis. Initially, the projects have been focused in western Massachusetts. As ITAC matures, we will continue to seek opportunities to support efforts in other communities throughout New England.”

When Steve Holy’s breakout smash, “Good Morning Beautiful,” stood atop the country charts for five straight weeks in 2002, it sparked a fire that has continued to smolder throughout his decade-long career. Holy has shown unyielding tenacity and persistence since his first big break in 1993, when he beat out 500 hopefuls in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Johnnie High Country Review, the same contest that launched the career of LeAnn Rimes. After his break in Dallas, he signed with Curb Records. Three years later, in 2000, he released his debut album, Blue Moon. For the past two years, Steve has taken time off to return to his hometown of Dallas and spend time with his two young daughters. The time has come though, as Holy is once again touring relentlessly and climbing the charts with his top 20 single, “Love Don’t Run” and current hit “Hauled Off And Kissed Me.”

RaeLynn from The Voice

RaeLynn blew the judges away with her rendition of “Hell on Heels” by the Pistol Annies at the blind auditions for the Voice. RaeLynn chose Blake Shelton as her coach. She continued to gain national attention and support with her twangy voice, bad ass country – rock performances, great fashion sense, and adorable personality.

Dylan Scott started his career by winning two major music competitions--the final for the Colgate Country Music Showdown in his native Louisiana, and in 2009, the Neal McCoy East Texas Angel Network Talent contest. Now the multi-talented Sidewalk Records Artist is poised to become a major star with his new self-titled CD, Dylan Scott produced by Music City legend, Jim Ed Norman. Dylan’s signature style launches with the debut single, “Makin’ This Boy
Go Crazy,” arriving on the country music radio scene right now!

BLASTER RECORDS TAKES OFF
WITH SINGER/SONGWRITER JARED ASHLEY

Epiphone Guitars Partners with Jared for Exclusive Contest

Nashville, TN...(April 22, 2013)...Blaster Records, home to multi-platinum selling artists Hank Williams, Jr. and Aaron Lewis, is gearing up to deliver its next new star, singer and songwriter Jared Ashley.

With a driving, edgy and undeniably country vocal, Jared’s soulful first single, “Last Train To Memphis,” impacts country radio today. Music Row’s Robert Oermann, who calls Jared “a major, major new talent” also cites the song’s “terrific production, full of throbbing energy, a deep bass bottom and ringing, minor-key guitar work,” and “moody, emotionally tense vocal performance.” The track, written by Jared along with Jeremy McComb and Nick Sturms, will be available at iTunes and all other major digital outlets tomorrow.

The former Navy hand discovered his passion for songwriting and performing in high school, but realized it was his real future while serving our country abroad. Jared would practice guitar during his downtime aboard the U.S.S. Independence and U.S.S. Kitty Hawk and began performing acoustic shows at George’s Country Bar in Yokosuka, Japan. After completing his four years tour of duty and returning to the United States, Jared made the big move to Nashville, where he earned a regular weekend gig at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. He threw himself into a heavy touring schedule and the business of building a fan base. In 2012, he signed to Blaster Records, realizing a lifelong dream of being able to head into the studio and focus only on his own material.

To celebrate the release of Jared’s first single, revered instrument maker Epiphone Guitars has partnered with their long-time endorsee to give away a autographed Masterbilt Series DR-500MCE guitar. One lucky fan will have the chance to win the mahogany acoustic guitar, personally autographed by Jared, at www.jaredashley.com/guitar. Epiphone has also wrapped Jared’s tour bus and provides his band with guitars for the 150+ live shows they play each year.

ABOUT JARED ASHLEY: Born in Hobbs, NM, near the oil fields of the West Texas border, Jared Ashley relocated to Newnan, GA with his father as a small child. After high school, Jared joined the Navy, where he served for four years including two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf. When not on duty, he would practice guitar while away at sea and play acoustic gigs at George’s Country Bar in Yokosuka, Japan. Jared’s genuine love of music and songwriting led him to Nashville’s thriving scene where he landed a regular weekend gig onstage at the world famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. With time and dedication, Jared developed a loyal touring and fan base, which gave him the chance to further hone his songwriting and live performance talents.

The singer and songwriter counts Alan Jackson and Bob Seger as strong musical influences, which proves evident on his melodically haunting debut single “Last Train To Memphis.” Co-penned along with Nick Sturms and Jeremy McComb, the song is featured on his forthcoming album for Blaster Records, expected to launch in early 2014. With a driving edgy vocal and lyrical prowess to match, Jared is a seasoned live act, playing over 180 dates a year. He is currently out on a national radio tour in support of the single. Learn more about Jared at www.JaredAshley.com and engage with him on Twitter and Facebook.
