ACM CHAMPS JASON ALDEAN, THOMAS RHETT AND BROTHERS OSBORNE LEAD JAMBOREE IN THE HILLS LINEUP

Reigning Entertainer Of The Year, Male Vocalist Of The Year And Vocal Duo Of The Year Make 2017’s Must-See Roster

41st Annual Festival Returns To Belmont County, Ohio, July 13 – 16

Three of the top winners from Sunday night’s (4/2) 52nd ACM Awards are headed to Belmont County, Ohio, as JASON ALDEAN, THOMAS RHETT and BROTHERS OSBORNE lead a stellar group of country stars to this year’s JAMBOREE IN THE HILLS July 13 - 16.

Aldean, who walked away with his second ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR trophy, will headline the long-running and much-loved event alongside Rhett, who won MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR and SONG OF THE YEAR for “Die a Happy Man” (which nabbed him two trophies as artist and songwriter and made him the night’s most decorated artist).

Double winners Brothers Osborne (NEW VOCAL DUO OR GROUP OF THE YEAR and VOCAL DUO OR GROUP OF THE YEAR) will also deliver a spirited Jambo set, making the 41st annual festival one of this summer’s most anticipated country music parties.

Rhett will headline Jamboree In the Hills’ first full night on Thursday (7/13), followed by Aldean on Friday (7/14) and Lady Antebellum on Saturday (7/15). Other performers include Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Young, RaeLynn, The Cadillac Three, Kane Brown, Brett Young, High Valley, Waterloo Revival, Davisson Brothers Band, and DJ Silver, plus Shane Owens, Aaron Tippin, Sawyer Brown, Sammy Kershaw and Lee Greenwood.

The festival kicks off with a FREE show Wednesday night (7/12) by Neal McCoy and local favorites Township Road – courtesy of Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration.

Along with four days of incredible country music and camping, Jamboree In The Hills retains all of the traditions diehard fans have come to love, including the famed Redneck Run, festival-capping fireworks and up close and personal photo opportunities with artists on the main stage. Fans are once again welcome to bring in their own coolers and beverages, with the same rules of entry applying as in the past (no liquor or glass containers).

Ticket sales for Jamboree In The Hills – including four-day camping and upgraded “glamping” passes – are available now via www.jamboreeinthehills.com, onsite at the Belmont venue or charge by phone at 1-800-594-TIXX.

Jamboree In The Hills is co-presented by WTOV9, WOVK-Wheeling, WPGB-Pittsburgh, WCOL-Columbus and iHeart Country. To purchase tickets and find out more about the festival, please visit www.jamboreeinthehills.com and Facebook.

KENNY CHESNEY'S 'THE BIG REVIVAL 2015' HITS STADIUMS

Joins Jason Aldean’s BURN IT DOWN To Open San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium May 2

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Monday, April 27, 2015) – When Kenny Chesney kicked off his The Big Revival 2015 Tour with two sold-out nights at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, he knew it was just the tip of the iceberg. The man who’s the only country artist in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years – headlining for only 12 – is the most alive when he’s taking his always high-energy shows to the largest venues.

Saturday, May 2, Chesney merges THE BIG REVIVAL TOUR with Jason Aldean’s wildly successful BURN IT DOWN TOUR for the first of a dozen co-headlining shows. The pair will open San Francisco’s brand new Levi’s Stadium – bringing high impact country to the Bay area for one definitive night of music.

“There is nothing I love more than playing stadiums,” Chesney says. “The energy and the size of the stage lets me get close to so many more people – and that is a feeling unlike any other. To be able to join up with Jason for these shows this summer, I think it’s the kind of night people won’t forget.”

The man The Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” has a special place in his heart for the City By The Bay. As he says, “San Francisco has always been an amazing place for us. I’ve had Steve Miller and Sammy Hagar join me onstage there... The fans come early, they stay late – and they always send us into multiple encores. If this is how we’re kicking off the year in stadiums, this is going to be a pretty strong bar-setter.”

Chesney, a 4-time Country Music Association and 4-time consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, has had 26 #1s, 13 #1 Albums and sold in excess of 30 albums. Heralded as “The People’s Superstar” by The Los Angeles Times, his summer concerts are legend:  indeed, many people plan their vacations around his tour schedule.

Jason Aldean, whose Old Boots, New Dirt became his second #1 Billboard Top 200 Album chart debut, is known for high intensity shows, his sense of true grit and songs that capture the way his fans genuinely live. Country's most downloaded male artist and three-time Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist of the Year has extended his wildly successful BURN IT DOWN TOUR into 2015, including the dozen stadium shows with Chesney.

This pairing extends beyond the two headliners. Joining them in San Francisco will be Jake Owen, known for his laid back, but invested take on country – including the #1 hits “Beachin’,” “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “What I Ain’t Got.” Also on the bill is Luke Bryan/Thomas Rhett/Florida Georgia Line hit songwriter/emerging artist Cole Swindell, whose hit #1 on his own “Chillin’ It” and “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight.”

Kenny Chesney’s THE BIG REVIVAL TOUR is presented by Corona Light & Blue Chair Bay Rum.

SINGLE REVIEW: "TAKE A LITTLE RIDE" - JASON ALDEAN

Single: "Take a Little Ride"
Artist: Jason Aldean
Radio Add Date: 7/16/12
Label: Broken Bow Records

Well, it's here and well ... it's here. "Take a Little Ride", the upcoming single from everyone's kinda party boy, Jason Aldean, went out for radio adds today. We were expecting more to be honest, this song is a typical Aldean style song, same kind of beat, same kind of lyrics and actually a little boring. Granted, Jason's style is unique and scoring him top honors and that's great, but we want more from him and know he's got more than just the same sounding music to offer because that's what great artists do (and that's what Jason is), they change it up a little. He caught us off-guard with "Don't You Wanna Stay" and that one went through the roof because it was a non-typical Aldean sound. Sorry if this sounds harsh, it's meant to just give an honest opinion. Think of me as Randy Jackson, it's just "a'ight" for me, we think he played it safe with this one instead of stealing home.

Our opinion aside. the song's gonna take a little ride up the charts to the top because Aldean fans will see to it that it happens, they stand behind every song and every word of every song and don't stop until it hits that top spot. Is it a bad song? Not at all, it's actually a very good song but is it something special? Something "different" Something to make you think "Wow! Now THAT was worth the wait"? Not really, at least not in our opinion. It's also very lyrically reminiscent of Luke Bryan's "I Don't Want This Night To End". Both songs talk about sliding on the seat, looking hot (Luke)/ain't nothing looks better than that (Jason), don't know what road were on (Luke) / I wanna take a little ride with you (Jason). The concept of riding in a truck is just a bit overdone this year. Fans will love it, but as for us, we'll wait for "Black Tears", the song he cut for the cd that was written by Florida Georgia Line. It's something different, something you haven't heard in an Aldean song before, or any other song before for that matter.

New Jason Aldean CD To Include "Black Tears" from Florida Georgia Line

Great article by Tris McCall at the Star Ledger/NJ.com.

Notice in this article,  there is a song mentioned off Jason's upcoming cd called "Black Tears". You can thank Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard for this next hit because they wrote it and have been performing it for awhile as Florida Georgia Line. We knew this one was gonna be cut by someone big if not made a hit by Florida Georgia Line themselves. Fans love it, it's one of their most requested songs at their live shows and now Jason Aldean's gonna make sure millions more know it and love it too. Congratulations Brian and Tyler on kicking as much country ass as you have in the past year we've known you. You deserve it and this one's gonna be your breakout hit!

Jason Aldean: In 'Fly Over States,' country singer praises forgotten farmers

jason-aldean.jpg
2007 Associated Press Photo
"People all over seem to forget that farmers are the backbone of the country," says Jason Aldean.

Jason Aldean is the sort of person who would rather throw a party than get on a soapbox. But a double-platinum album and a pair of country chart-topping singles entitle even a reticent man to speak his mind in public.

On “Fly Over States,” his latest hit, the Georgia-born country-rocker does just that, sticking up for blue-collar and agricultural America with the same sort of earnestness and authority that has made him, arguably, the biggest new star in Nashville.

“People all over seem to forget that farmers are the backbone of the country,” says Aldean, 35. “When you show up to the grocery store and grab some produce for dinner, it doesn’t magically appear there. There’s a guy out on a combine planting those crops.”

Aldean, who performs at the Meadowlands on Saturday, insists he’s not singling out any part of America by giving the lyrics — written by lesser known country artists Neil Thrasher and Michael Dulaney — wider exposure. The heavies in the song are first-class airplane travelers who deem the rural quarters of the nation unworthy of close engagement. They’re from coastal states. But they could come from anywhere.

“I guarantee you that there are plenty of people in Atlanta who think that way,” he says.

“My Kinda Party,” Aldean’s breakthrough set, took the Album of the Year trophy at the 2011 Country Music Awards. Superficially, there’s nothing provocative about the album — it’s state-of-the-art country-rock with memorable choruses and strong singing. But upon closer inspection, Aldean’s creative restlessness becomes evident. “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” a duet with Kelly Clarkson, is a reach for mainstream acceptance. “Tattoos on This Town” makes manifest the urgency with which Aldean wants to make his mark.

Then there’s “Dirt Road Anthem,” one of the most successful and seamless rap-country tracks in recent memory. It’s arranged like a country-rock song — all weeping guitars and big, arena-ready snare — but structured like a mainstream hip-hop track. Aldean sings the hook and raps the verse. While he doesn’t consider it a rap song, his flow betrays a deep familiarity with hip-hop.

“Certain rap songs I get,” says Aldean, “and there are others that I don’t get into. Country music is my first love, but when I was growing up, there wasn’t a definitive line between genres. Lately, I’ve been listening to ‘Good Feeling’ by Flo Rida. That’s been stuck in my head for about a week.”

Last summer, when “Dirt Road Anthem” was riding high on the charts, Aldean got a nod of approval from a fellow Georgian: rapper Ludacris. The two shut down the CMT Awards broadcast with a collaborative performance of “Dirt Road.” The version proved so popular that the song was remixed with Ludacris’ verse on it.

Aldean didn’t know Ludacris before performing with him on CMT, but respected his songwriting and Southern pride. Since then, the two have struck up a friendship.

“Ludacris did exactly what we wanted him to do,” says Aldean. “He wrote his own verse and put his stamp on the song.”

The follow-up to “My Kinda Party” has already been cut. Aldean isn’t sure when it will be released, but is confident that new material will see daylight later in 2012 — and that his fans will encounter more surprises when the album comes out.

“It’s a lot like ‘Party’ in that there are some things that are a little off the wall. There’s one called ‘Wheels Rollin’ ’ that’s almost like (Bon Jovi’s) ‘Wanted Dead or Alive.’ Another one, ‘Black Tears,’ talks about an exotic dancer. There are things that people in the country music world might shy away from because they’re racy. If a song is good, I’m not worried about if it’s too suggestive.”

Aldean is one of many major country stars to perform in the Garden State over the past few years. “If you go back and look at the history of country,” he says. “it’ll go through periods when it’s on fire. You sometimes have a wave of young artists who are doing really well, and when you do, it’s a shot in the arm for the whole industry. In the late ’80s and ’90s, Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson had all of those hits. All of a sudden you’re seeing it happen again with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Blake (Shelton) and Miranda (Lambert). It gets everybody excited, and I’m glad to be a part of that.”

TELEVISION SPECIAL TO AIR FRIDAY, APRIL 13, 2012 ON CBS

Encino, CA (March 5, 2012) - The Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions announced today that country music superstars Luke Bryan, Sara Evans, Tim McGraw and Jennifer Nettles have been added to the all-star lineup of artists scheduled to perform at the ACM PRESENTS: Lionel Richie and Friends - In Concert taping Monday, April 2, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The special will air Friday, April 13, 2012 on the CBS Television Network.

ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends - In Concert is a special concert event of country music collaborations with the legendary Lionel Richie, featuring duets from his upcoming album Tuskegee, out March 26, 2012, along with solo performances. Some of Richie’s greatest hits will be performed by today’s hottest country artists including Jason Aldean (“Say You Say Me”), The Band Perry (“Penny Lover”), Luke Bryan (“Running with the Night”), Sara Evans, Lady Antebellum (“Truly”), Martina McBride (“Still”), Jennifer Nettles (“Hello”) and Rascal Flatts (“Dancing on the Ceiling”). Duets with Richie include: “My Love” with Kenny Chesney, “Sail On” with Tim McGraw, “Lady” with Kenny Rogers, and more surprises to be announced.

"It has been so rewarding to have my songs embraced by country music artists," said Lionel Richie. "Since Conway Twitty recorded 'Three Times a Lady' and Kenny Rogers sang 'Lady,' I have been welcomed into the country music family with open arms. It's the ultimate compliment to have country artists record and perform songs that I've written. I've always felt right at home in country because I was raised just down the road from Nashville in Tuskegee, Alabama, where I was immersed in country, R&B, gospel and classical music. This show will be a homecoming and family reunion combined, and I'm so glad that viewers will be able to share these special moments with us. It will be a night that I will remember for the rest of my life."

Orly Adelson, president of dick clark productions and executive producer of the special said, “We're honored to bring together the industry's greatest artists with Lionel’s legendary sound for what will be a once in a lifetime concert.”
