Pair Heads South For Fowl Fun At Celebrity Conservation 2012 Hunt

Country music’s youngest traditional crooner, Jeremy Parsons, will join Jett Williams and a number of musical compatriots who will travel to South Georgia to help raise awareness at the annual Quail Unlimited Celebrity Conservation Hunt & Concert. Scheduled to be held in Albany, Georgia (for the second consecutive year), the 2012 Celebrity Conservation event celebrates its 26th year. The festivities are set to begin Thursday evening, January 12, 2012; the hunt and concert will continue through the weekend, Friday, January 13 and 14, 2012.

Jett Williams, daughter of the legendary Hank Williams, returns to the event for the third year as a guest of honor and performer. Jett will share the stage with “Nashville friends,” special guests, Jeremy Parsons, Moe Bandy, Jim Ed Brown and Larry Cordle. The Albany show marks the second occasion in 2012 that Williams and Parsons have joined together on stage; the storyteller and story keeper rang in the New Year in Nashville where they performed at the Ernest Tubb Record Store’s “Midnite Jamboree.”

“I am a longtime friend of the organization and its efforts and am pleased to be involved once again,” Jett Williams says. “This event is a combination of my two great loves–music and the great outdoors.”

“This is, once again, an experience of a lifetime. I’ve never hunted quail before; I may just let the professionals take the lead at the hunt...would hate to ’misfire,’” Jeremy Parsons said in jest. “I’m more comfortable ‘pulling the trigger’ to perform onstage!”

In addition to Parsons and Williams, other members and supporters of Quail Unlimited, who will be offering their time, talents, and marquee names to the event, include: Keith Anderson, Andy Griggs, Ashton Shepard, Daryle Singletary, Rivers Rutherford and many more. Comedian Killer Beaz will also shoot and perform over the course of the three-day event. The concert, to be held at the Albany Civic Center, anticipates an audience of 3,000+ and has already enjoyed sold-out VIP ticket sales (800).

The event’s monies, with Quail Unlimited hoping to raise between $200,000 to $300,000, go towards support of the organization’s efforts. With upwards of 120 participants in the hunt, eighteen plantations in the Albany area will lend their land to the hunt: Agri - B Plantation, ALAGA Plantation, Ashbrook Plantation, Flint River Farms, Hammack Farms, Liberty Hill, Little River, Partridge Pea, Pine Hill, Rio Piedra, Samara, Southern Woods, South Wind Plantation, Sundown Farms Plantation, Tallawahee, The Covey, Turkey Track and Wynfield.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 19, 2011)—Jeremy Parsons, who is the true essence and mirror image of traditional Americana country music, has formed a relationship with Jett Williams, the daughter of his idol, the legendary Hank Williams, and husband F. Keith Adkinson for artist management representation through Adjett Productions.

Parsons, a young man with an old soul, is a 23-year old “boy next door” who seems to have a direct-connect with ghosts of country past and the natural knack to echo the sounds of some of the “Who’s Who” in country music greats like Hank Williams, Faron Young, Johnny Horton and George Strait. The young Texan made his entry into the country music scene in March 2010 with the release of his debut CD entitled DOGGONDEST FEELIN’ (PCG Nashville Records). A compilation entrenched in the heart and soul of classic country, Parsons’ DOGGONDEST FEELIN’ (produced by Bernard Porter/Porter-Gentry Productions) is a music history revivalwith song titles like “The Night Hank Williams Died,” “When My Old Man Was Young,” “I Could Be Your Pick Me Up”and “Since My Baby Left Me.”

A “Critic’s Pick” for many in 2010, Parsons received praise and applause by traditional country music fans and the media both in the U.S. and in Europe, and caught the attention of Jett Williams and Keith Adkinson in what they describe as a “magical, spiritual meeting.” “Jeremy came out to the house and played for us,” Jett Williams introduced. “As soon as I heard his voice, I felt like it was like my dad was in the room--using him as a vehicle. Jeremy and I shared an immediate understanding—a spiritual bond; there is a reason for our relationship.”

“It’s a dream come true to have even met Jett and Keith,” Parsons enthuses. “What’s more is to know they appreciate my music enough to take me under their wings—that’s surreal. The good news follows a series of grand happenings for Jett Williams. In May 2010, Jett accepted aPulitzer Prize Award on her father’s behalf; she recently enjoyed a 2010 Grammy acknowledgement and nomination for HANK WILLIAMS THE COMPLETE MOTHER'S BEST (“Best Historical Album”), and, in January of this year, was tapped to host “Hank Williams: Inside The Box” on Sirius XM Radio's classic channel, The Roadhouse (Channel 62). Each program features four complete shows from Hank Williams' Mother's Best Flour Radio Series from 1951. Currently, Jett and Keith are working with Director Harry Thomason in the final planning, promotional and distribution phases of the motion picture “The Last Ride” coming to theaters in the fall. The Nashville Film Festival hosted the World Premiere of the film over the past weekend (with Jett, Keith and Jeremy in attendance), and Jett, just this morning, received word that “The Last Ride” won “Best Historical/Period Film,” “Best Actor” (Jesse James) and “Best Musical Score” (Benji Gaither) at the 44^th WorldFest-Houston Independent International Film Festival.

The relationship between Williams and Parsons is history in the making; the footsteps in which they walk are paralleled. A storyteller and story keeper, Jeremy Parsons cultivated his love of the legends by collecting vinyl and writing tunes steeped in American roots and traditional sound. By the time he was in is early 20s the San Antonio-born Parsons had accomplished feats most newcomers only dream of. Jeremy has more than 750 songs in his catalog, has opened for George Jones, is a frequent backstage guest at the Grand Ole Opry, was befriended by Little Jimmy Dickens and Jean Shepard and The Grascals, champions in bluegrass, cut the Parsons-penned “Out Comes The Sun”… and now, he is signed with the daughter of Hank Williams.
